On the way home, Amelia clung to the Amber Vase. To her, it wasn’t just something worth millions of dollars–it was like a doll her mother had sewn for her.
Holding the vase was like holding her mother’s love, offering her lonely heart much–needed comfort. It wasn’t until she stepped through the door that she carefully set it down on the table.

Even more impressive was how well it had been preserved–aside from a crack at the mouth of the vase, there were no other flaws. Amelia could look at it all day without getting tired of it.
Landon joked, “You might as well put it on display.”
“Good idea,” Amelia surprisingly agreed.
“Better put it away. I’m afraid others will break it,” Landon chuckled, resting his chin in his hand.
“True.” Amelia nodded, then took out the pendant as well. “I‘

wearing this anymore either. I don’t want to lose it again.”
But Amelia wondered where she should keep it. She looke
around. There was no place to hide it. Finally, she looked at Landon’s safe.
Landon, catching on, asked, “Want to put it in there? You know the code.”
“No, I’m getting my own safe,” Amelia replied.
Landon was speechless.
Amelia immediately went online and bought a safe. She thought, ‘Having my own safe would give me peace of mind, with easy access whenever I needed it. If I keep them in Landon’s safe, I’ll have to ask for them back during a divorce later. How troublesome!‘
Landon stared at Amelia in disbelief, thinking, ‘She’s definitely thinking about divorce again. Don’t worry, I won’t allow it.‘

In the afternoon, the mall delivered the safe.
Amelia didn’t have her own room, so she was troubled about where to put it.
“Put it there.” Landon simply directed the workers to place the new safe next to his.
“Sure, Mr. Kingsley,” the workers replied.
The two safes sat side by side, harmonizing with the room’s layout.
But something felt off to Amelia. “How about you give me your room for it?” she boldly suggested.
“You’ve got an Amber Vase and a pendant. Do you really need a whole room for them?” Landon teased.
Amelia blushed and replied, “I just want a room that’s mine.”
“Isn’t this place yours? Even I’m yours.” Landon tried not to smile, but the amusement in his eyes was impossible to hide. He thought, ‘Silly woman, they are a couple protected by law. Everything he has now, she has a share.”
Amelia cleared her throat. “Landon, stop joking around. I might take you seriously,” she pouted, her face flushed, her heart in turmoil.
Amelia kept telling herself that men’s words are deceitful. Zachary had been the biggest lesson. But with Landon’s half–serious, half–joking remarks, her defenses slowly crumbled. She was afraid that one day, when her guard finally collapsed, Landon would tell her, “We’re just business partners. Let’s divorce.”
“I’m not joking.” Landon raised an eyebrow, feeling frustrated. He thought, ‘She thinks my sincerity is a joke? I’ve never joked around with a woman like this. I barely even smiled. That’s why the rumors about me being “cold, abstinent, decisive, ruthless, and heartless” spread.‘
“Anyway,” Amelia said, “I just want to figure out the truth about my mom’s background and death. I’m not thinking about anything else.”
Amelia decided on the date of her time travel. That was her lucky day.
After safely storing the Amber Vase and pendant, Amelia breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed onto her small bed, the fragrance of the lavender pillow drifting through the cotton sheets, calming her mind.
After a moment, Amelia turned to Landon and asked, “You heard what Patrick said today, right?”
“Yeah,” Landon replied.
Amelia said, “He knows you’re looking for Kayla. Aren’t you worried he’ll find her first and use her to threaten you?”
“If he can find Kayla, I’ll give him half my shares.” Landon’s eyes darkened with a deep, unspeakable pain. His life had been saved by Kayla. If she could come back, he would pay any price.
“Having siblings is really nice. You can always protect each other,” Amelia sighed, gazing at the ceiling as she murmured. “I wish I had an older brother.”
When Patrick woke up again, he found himself with Camila. They were both naked, the sheets in a crumpled mess, a clear sign of intense sex.
Patrick felt pain radiating from his lower body and nearly lost his mind. “Camila, are you out of your mind? I’m scalded by hot coffee, and you’re still at
it?”
“It’s not a big deal. I’ve already applied some medicine,” Camila said, pressing her not–so–perfect body against Patrick again.

Patrick pushed Camila away in disgust. “Look at your figure. You were flat to begin with, and after having kids, you’ve got a spare tire”
“That was for you, to have your kids,” Camila replied, her eyes showing a flicker of hurt, but her attitude remained defiant.
Patrick ran his hands through his hair in frustration. Clearly, he was helpless against Camila. One wrong step led to another. He never should’ve gotten involved with her. After the thrill, came nothing but mess.
“How did you get me out of there?” Patrick asked.
“I was just having coffee there and ran into Landon,” Camila lied, her face unchanged.
Patrick believed it, gritting his teeth. “Good one, Amelia. She actually tricked me.”
“I suggest you stop going against Landon. Let’s just live our lives in peace. Kingsley Group won’t cut your dividends,” Camila said.
“What do you know?” Patrick snapped, shoving Camila aside as he angrily got out of bed and started dressing.
Patrick needed to find Jonas and ask how Amelia took him down without realizing it.
It wasn’t clear whether it was Amelia’s anesthetic or if Camila had been too rough, but by the time Patrick left, his legs were shaking, and he could barely
stand straight.
