“Oh, so that’s what it was.” Jonathan finally realized what was going on and couldn’t help but feel amused. ‘Teresa said it was boring What is that supposed to mean? Was she saying my body was boring?‘ he thought.
Back in her room, Teresa sat on the bed. The scene she’d just witnessed replayed over and over in her mind. She shook her head hard.
“Am I losing it? Seriously, it’s not like I haven’t seen him like that before. I’ve even seen what’s under that towel Why am I getting all flustered now?” she
said to herself.
Just then, there was a knock at the door. She quickly straightened her clothes and asked the one outside to come in. Jonathan, already changed into two–piece pajamas, walked in. “Are you about to go to sleep?”
Teresa nodded. “Yeah, do you need something?”
Jonathan walked over with a glass of warm milk. “I just wanted to apologize. Michael told me I was all over you last night. I really drank too much and totally blacked out. I don’t even remember a thing.”
“It’s fine. I fought back, you know. I smacked you with a pillow a few times,” Teresa replied.
Jonathan was lost for words. No wonder the back of his head felt sore this morning. “Well, get some rest. If you need anything, just call me.”
He turned to go, but then heard Teresa suddenly gasp behind him. He quickly turned around and saw her rubbing her leg, clearly in pain. He hurried over. “What’s wrong? Where does it hurt? Are you about to go into labor?”
Seeing how worried he looked, Teresa quickly reassured him. “No, it’s just a leg cramp. I used to get them all the time when I was pregnant with Mike, especially in the last few months.”
“Let me rub it for you,” Jonathan said, sitting down next to her. He assertively lifted her leg, placed it on his lap, and then started massaging it from top to
bottom.
His touch had just the right pressure, sometimes slow and sometimes quick, and soon Teresa’s leg stopped hurting so much. She couldn’t help but glance at him a few times. “Have you been taking massage lessons or something?”
Jonathan didn’t deny it. “I’ve been reading some books about taking care of pregnant women in my free time, so I picked up a few things. If you feel uncomfortable, just let me know.”
Teresa quickly looked away, her voice a little hoarse. “It actually feels pretty good.”
Jonathan noticed the faint blush on her cheeks and raised an eyebrow. “Why are you blushing?”
Teresa shifted uncomfortably. “I’m just ticklish when people touch my legs. You know that already.”
Jonathan let out a soft chuckle and didn’t say anything more.
Just then, Teresa’s phone started ringing. She glanced at the screen and saw it was Jennifer’s number from Nareígh. She paused for a second and then picked up.
“Hey, Teresa, it’s me,” Jennifer said.
“I know. Did you come back to Nareigh already?” Teresa asked.
“Yeah, I came back early. I need to talk to you about something important. You’re not living at Rosary Estates anymore, right? You’re at Forlisle Rose

Estates now? I’m right outside your place,” Jennifer said.
The call ended. Teresa told Jonathan that it was from Jennifer and that Jennifer was outside their place. Jonathan paused, his expression Pla slightly. “What does she want?” he asked.
“I don’t know. She said it’s something important. She’s right at the door. Can you let her in?” Teresa asked.
