At the airport, Michael dashed ahead on his little legs, glancing back at Jonathan. “Mr. Daddy Lime, can I really stay in your big house?”
Jonathan walked up, ruffled his hair, and said, “Of course. Everything I have belongs to you and your mom. You can stay as long as you want.”
“Great, long live Mr. Lime!” Michael cheered and ran forward again, accidentally bumping into someone. The person quickly caught him, keeping him from falling.
“Mike.” Jonathan scooped Michael up and apologized to the person. “Sorry about that. My kid’s a handful.”
“No worries. I almost bumped into your son,” Lucas said, but then he suddenly froze when he saw Jonathan’s face. He pointed at Jonathan, looking surprised. “Wait. You’re… that guy from Nareigh Airport, right?”
Jonathan glanced at Lucas, frowning a little. He did remember seeing him at the airport before, and back then, he’d thought this guy looked a lot like Teresa.
“Dad, this gentleman looks like Mom,” Michael piped up.

Jonathan looked down at Michael in his arms, a little surprised that his kid was thinking exactly the same thing as him.
“Sir, my mom is super beautiful!” Michael said proudly.
“Oh really? Then I’m honored to look even a little like your gorgeous mom,” Lucas replied with a smile.
Jonathan snapped out of it and ruffled Michael’s hair. “The kid’s just joking around. So, what brings you to Jarisburg?” He thought, ‘If I remember correctly, this guy went to chase a career in showbiz!’
Lucas replied, “I’m here for some training. I’m planning to apply to Jarisburg Film Academy.”
Jonathan raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t most people who take those entrance exams just at eighteen or nineteen?”
He remembered Lucas mentioning that he was already thirty. Going to Jarisburg Film Academy at that age was definitely out of the ordinary.
Lucas scratched his head, looking a bit embarrassed. “Yeah, taking the Film Academy Entrance Examination at thirty is kinda late, but I just can’t let go of my dream. I want to give it my all, so I won’t have any regrets.”
He added, “What about you? Are you here in Jarisburg for a trip with your son?”
“Yeah? So you never tried applying before?” Jonathan continued, carrying Michael as he chatted with Lucas.
Lucas shook his head. He was a trainee at a talent agency over in Cerein, but he was taken advantage of.
There were a lot of reasons, including some family stuff. It kept him drifting around for ten years, never really getting anywhere. Every time a debut spot opened up, someone else snatched it away. He just couldn’t accept giving up like that.
“I really love being on stage, and singing is my passion,” Lucas said, a little sheepish.
He added, “But honestly, at my age, being an idol is probably out of the question. Right now, I just want to debut, no matter what. I refuse to label myself as a failure until I’ve tried everything I can.
Jonathan could tell Lucas had been through a lot. He said sincerely, “Good luck. I really hope you succeed.” For some reason, even though they were basically strangers, Jonathan Telt an odd sense of familiarity with Lucas.
Lucas looked genuinely moved. “Thank you. I’ll give it my all.”

Chapter 758
Michael piped up, “Sir, are you gonna be a big star?”
Lucas looked at Michael’s face, and for some reason, he felt a strange sense of familiarity. He nodded a bit shyly. “I will try my best.”
Michael gave him two big thumbs up. “Sir, you’re super handsome. You’re definitely gonna be a big star!”
Lucas found himself really liking Michael and couldn’t help ruffling his hair. “Thanks, kiddo. What’s your name?”
“My name’s Michael, but you can call me Mike if you want,” Michael said with a grin.
“Mike,” Lucas echoed, glancing at Jonathan with a touch of envy. “You’re really blessed to have such an adorable kid.”
