Chapter 675
With Teresa’s car parked right outside and no time to go back upstairs, Jennifer remotely unlocked the vehicle and sped off in Teresa’s Porsche.
The meadow wasn’t far. Jennifer floored it and pulled up in minutes.
Donald sat on the ground, staring blankly at a document, looking like a mere shell of himself. With a day’s stubble, he appeared scruffy and profoundly
haggard.
Jennifer walked over to Donald. Her legs turned to jelly beneath her as she saw the DNA test. She thought, ‘This day has finally come.
Donald said, “I know everything now. Mike’s full name is Michael Johnston. I did a DNA test. Mike and I are blood–related. That means he’s a Lynn. He is Jonathan’s son, isn’t he?”
Jennifer continued to play dumb. She replied, “Really? I have no idea. Jonathan isn’t the only Lynn, is he? What about Gary?”
Donald’s heart shattered with utter disappointment. He snapped, “Do you even hear yourself, Jennifer? Not content with insulting my family, now you’re dragging your own into this?
“Are you seriously suggesting your sister was sleeping around? Have you no conscience?”
Jennifer said, “That’s not what I meant. You just jumped straight to accusing me without a word. I was just wondering if Jonathan might not be the father
after all.”
Staring at Jennifer, who was still trying to deflect blame, Donald shot to his feet and clamped down on her wrist.
He said, “Mike is Jonathan’s son. You falsified the DNA test report, hid the truth from me and my family, and kept father and son from reuniting. Am I right?”
“No, I didn’t. I swear, I had no idea about any of this,” Jennifer cried out.
Donald snapped, “How much longer are you going to keep lying to me, Jennifer? I know you falsified the test reports–over and over again. How could you do something like this?
“It’s terrifying–you’re like a completely different person. I kept waiting for you to come clean, but all you do is stubbornly make excuses, claim you don’t know, and keep shifting the blame.
“The evidence is right here in black and white. What else do you have to say for yourself? Why are you still making excuses? Why did you do it?”
Jennifer clutched desperately at Donald’s hand, her eyes glistening with tears. She pleaded, “Donald, please, don’t do this. I’m begging you. I can’t bear
this.”
Donald wrenched his hand free.
Jennifer staggered backward, her vision blurring with tears. She desperately tried to salvage their relationship by clinging to memories of the past.
With a pitiful, trembling plea, she said, “Are we really going to let outside forces destroy what we have? Don’t you believe me anymore? Don’t you trust, my love for you?”
Donald shook his head slowly and said, “This is the very place where I proposed to you. All our friends and colleagues envied m you forever. But did you ever truly love me? You only ever loved yourself.”
Jennifer cried out, “I do love you. How could I not love you?”
Donald shot back, “Then why did you hurt Cheryl?”
Jennifer froze. She thought, ‘So Cheryl really snitched on me to Donald?‘
I swore I’d cherish

Chapter 675
Donald said, “I know you never loved my family. You never once treated them as your own.”
Jennifer said, “No, how could I not love your family? They’re the most important people to you. Of course!…”
Before Jennifer could finish, Donald played the recording Cheryl sent him.
Jennifer’s voice came through the recording, saying, “I’ve been putting up with you for ages, too. Do you honestly think I like you? Your entire family, besides Donald, is a bunch of insufferable jerks–each one more annoying than the next.”
Jennifer lunged for the phone, desperate to delete the evidence, but Donald had already silenced the recording before she could reach it.
