Chapter 600
Chapter 600
Hayden also wanted to go to Shaville after learning that Liora was in the advanced stage of cancer.
Jonathan had originally booked a ticket for himself, but when Hayden insisted on coming along, he booked one for him as well.
On the plane. Hayden turned to Jonathan with a sigh, breaking the silence between them. “Are you still upset with me? Is it all because of Sanford?” Hayden asked, his voice softening.
Jonathan deftly changed the subject. “What brings you to Shaville?”
Hayden sighed heavily. “How could I not go? For one, she did give your father a son after all. And besides, Cherry’s father and I were classmates. Now that Cherry is gravely ill, I must go see her.”
As Hayden finished speaking, Jonathan closed his eyes in silence.
Hayden nudged Jonathan. “Cat got your tongue?”
Jonathan turned his head away, his expression carefully blank. “Nothing to say,” he replied flatly.
Hayden was speechless.
Liora realized her days were numbered. While Sanford was out of the room, Liora immediately sent Werner the only message she would ever send him in her lifetime.
The message was lengthy, and she didn’t mince words. She simply told him that after she passed away, she wanted him to help Sanford accomplish two things.
Liora: [First, help Sanford change his name. If the paperwork proves difficult, I hope you can assist him in dropping ‘Sanford‘ altogether.
[Second, help Sanford find a house in Irwishland, as I planned to send him abroad. The 150 thousand that you transferred to me has already been moved into a separate account, and upon my death, all the money in that account will go to Sanford.]
Werner read the message, a storm of conflicting emotions surging through him. This was the first time in his memory that Liora had reached out to him
on her own initiative.
He knew that Liora was giving him a chance to finally fulfill his duty as a father. ‘Does she really not have much time left?‘ Werner couldn’t help but wonder, a chill running down his spine.
Werner had just returned from Shaville, thinking he’d never have to go back. That day, he’d cried before Liora, and she promised not to reveal Sanford’s true parentage. Yet, in the end, he was still the boy’s father.
Once Liora was gone, Sanford would have to handle her funeral, relocate abroad, and start a new life, all by himself. Werner couldn’t bear to let him face
all that alone. After all, he’s his son.
Werner couldn’t help but go to Shaville again. Little did he know that Jonathan and Hayden had just arrived in Shaville. Little did he know Irene was already in Shaville. Little did he know Cathy was secretly tailing him once again.
Members of the Lynn family had all converged on Shaville, each with their own agenda.
At that moment, in Liora’s hospital room, her breathing was so frail it could only be sustained by a ventilator.
Hayden gazed at Liora and called her name, but she could only manage a feeble nod in response.
Sanford was on the verge of losing it, and he nearly took a swing at Jonathan.

“All because your mom came to see mine. God knows what she said to upset her so much. I just stepped out for a bit, and when I came back, my mom was spitting blood! Now she’s like this,” said Sanford.
Sanford swung at Jonathan, but his fist was caught mid air. With an impatient shove, Jonathan pushed him aside,
Jonathan said coldly. “This is a hospital, an ICU ward. If you want to fight, pick a better time and place.
Sanford pursed his lips, fists clenched tight. But the moment he heard Liora’s weak call from the bedside, only then did he regain some composure.
The sound of approaching footsteps grew steadily louder. Werner rushed in and froze because the hospital room was packed with people
More hurried footsteps sounded. Werner turned around and was startled to see Cathy. She had been tailing him all along. His heart lurched with dread
