The club Liam frequented was busted by the police. Liam was caught red–handed right on the spot. He immediately covered in the corner with his head – in his hands before being hauled off to the police station.
Werner saw this as a golden opportunity. Without hesitation, he told Cathy, “I’m heading to Shaville, Liam’s been detained this time, and I’m going to bad
him out.”
Cathy sneered coldly, “Do whatever the hell you

I want. Don’t bother telling me. Anyway, even if you go chasing after other women again, I couldn’t care
Werner frowned. “Do you take me for a fool? With afford that kind of scandal.”
getting arrested at a time like this, do you really think I’d go messing around with women? I can’t
Cathy remained silent. From start to finish, Werner never told Cathy what he’d actually done with that money. He claimed he’d lent it to a friend, but
never said who.
Cathy thought to herself, ‘Did he really think he could just brush it off and I’d pretend nothing happened?‘
Although Cathy wanted a divorce, at that moment, she had no choice but to bide her time and wait for the right moment.
Under the pretext of bailing Liam out at the police station, Werner booked a flight to Shaville.
When Werner arrived, Liam had just been released after ten days in detention. Seeing Liam’s sallow complexion, Werner shook his head and said, “You’re no spring chicken. Don’t do this again.”
Liam said remorsefully, “I really took a hit this time. I’ve never been so humiliated.”
At that moment, Werner was far more concerned about Liora’s situation. Seeing how distracted he was, Liam asked, “Hey, where are you off to?”
Anxious about getting to Liora, Werner quickly told Liam the

hospital address and about her advanced–stage cancer.
Werner shot back, “Give me a break. What am I supposed to be pining for? We’re just old classmates. That’s all.”
Saying no more, Liam drove Werner to the private hospital where Liora was.
Liam figured he might as well go see Liora. After all, they were old acquaintances. He’d just buy a flower basket, make a brief appearance, and then leave.
As Werner waited at the entrance, Liam suddenly rushed over and tapped him urgently on the shoulder. Liam suddenly gasped, “I see Cathy!”
“What?” Werner gasped. He was just about to turn around when Liam grabbed his shoulder, stopping him.
Liam quickly urged, “Let’s just pretend we didn’t see her, no need to give Cathy another reason to get the wrong idea.”
Cathy trailed Werner, but quickly lost sight of him. She hurried into the hospital and began searching floor by floor.
Just then, Cathy heard someone call out behind her. Turning, she saw Liam approaching, pressing a cotton swab on his arm where he’d just had blood
drawn.
Cathy’s expression was strained. “I just saw you and my husband at the entrance, so I thought I’d come to check.”
Liam quickly explained, “Werner’s getting his blood drawn over there. After I got busted for that embarrassing incident, he was looking out for me and suggested we both get tested. You know, HIV risks.”
Cathy said, “Yeah, you really should get yourself checked. Seriously, at your age, still pulling stunts like this and making headlines? If you had kids, they’d be too embarrassed to even show their faces.”

Chapter 592
“My wife passed away young, and with no one holding me back, I just wanted to have some fun. Who knew it would lead to this?
Werner finished his blood test and pretended to have just noticed Cathy, his lace darkening. He frowned and snapped, “What are you doing here? Den 1 tell me you’re following me again.”
Cathy retorted, “Who’s following you? I’m just here to see a friend.”
Werner wasn’t buying it. Trying to play peacemaker, Liam said, “Cathy, it’s getting late. How about I treat you two to dinner?”
