Jennifer felt a warmth in her heart and said, “Thank you.”
Cathy quickly followed up. “By the way Jennifer I’ve been feeling some discomfort in my chest lately. Could I get your number? Maybe you could help me out with a check–up sometime. Donald mentioned you’re a gynecologist, and women understand these things best, right?”
Jennifer understood Cathy’s intentions. She knew once she gave out her number, it wouldn’t be easy to take it back. Still, after a brief pause, she handed it over
Cathy created Jennifer’s contact on her phone. As Cathy input the digits, a message notification popped up, showing the same number as Jennifer’s. The number had previously sent Cathy a message.
