“I can’t believe you did that,” Nutmeg says, looking at me as I sat in our room, on my bed feeling sad for myself.
“Why not? He yelled at me,” I whined.
“We’re rookies, baby, the janitor would be yelling at us as well,” Nutmeg answers me.
“Then I want out,” I say.
“Didn’t you try to drop out and your stepfather said no?” she asks me.
“How did you know? I haven’t told anyone,” I comment.
“No need, wolves like to eavesdrop and love to gossip just as much, the whole place knows about it,” she says and I groaned, that’s not nice
at all!
“I hate them all,” I whined.
“We all do, but this means you gotta stay and take the yelling,” she
teases me.
“I don’t like it when he yells at me,” I answer her.
“Then tell them to get you a new training officer, I heard Alpha Damian had to pull a million strings to get that job to be near you and make sure no one else yells at you, give the guy a chance,” Nutmeg
says.
“Whose side are you even on?” I ask her feeling offended.

“Hmm…I’m on Mariano’s side, duhh,” she says making me laugh.
“And what does Mariano has to do with anything?” I ask her,
“I’m always on his side, which reminds me, wanna go watch him run tracks?” she asks me, and I remember last time I watched them, that was extra hot, so why not.
“Tll go,” I say joining her up, now that our classes are done, we don’t have to wear the full uniform, instead we are provided some loung, wear, cotton sweats with cotton Tshirts and long sleeves with the same color scheme, and the academy logo on them, but they were a lot more comfortable. Only us could change into those during the day since the born wolves have longer class hours than us, and they need to be ready the whole day, unlike us.
We went out and watched them run, fight, and overall get sweaty and sexy, we enjoyed watching them, they weren’t in either uncle Damian, nor Thalia’s class, so we just watched them from far away not to get in the way.
“I’m going to give me ten seconds to explain to me why you’re standing here,” the teacher suddenly says coming from behind us, we both jumped up, we didn’t see him coming our way.
“Mariano is my mate, I’m girl fanning,” Nutmeg says quickly.
“And you?” he asks looking at me.
“Me….I…uhh…” I say not having any real excuse, “I came along for the ride,” I finally say coming up with my best excuse.
“You have a mate out there?” he asks me.
“Alpha Damian is hers, and Lieutenant Levent is her stepdad,” Nutmeg says, defending me

“Ahh the savage girl, I see,” he says nodding.
“Can we stay?” Nutmeg asks for the both of us.
“You can, but come stand near me, so I can embarrass them in front of you,” he says with an evil smile on his face.
“Come on ladies, we have observers, we don’t want to fall behind, go ahead, faster,” he yells at them.
“Mariano, front and center, come on, show your lady how hard you can go,” he says making Mariano run harder and do extra laps.
When the trainer was done torturing them, he told them all to get their arses in the shower and get clean because they stinks, he then turned to me and say in a very firm voice.
“I’m sorry for your loss, no one is old enough to be able to live without their mother, but the goddess has given you a second chance, take it, and yelling is just our thing, you’d get to yell at others when you are in higher places,” he says with a small smile on his face.
“Thanks,” I say, I was happy to hear some kind of encouragement words from him, as we went back to our room waiting for the rest of the students to shower and get ready for dinner, I told Nutmeg all about the one time I got drunk with the other students and she got so excited about getting drunk on her own, she couldn’t wait to go to partied and get drunk on her own.
“And you think Mariano would allow you to do so?” I ask standing in line in the cafeteria, we took the extra long way and walked slowly, we’re not in a hurry, if she knew how bad the food was here, she’d demand to go back home.
