Lotus POV
Stupid Uncle, I first wanted to bite him, to eat him alive, to kill him and then stand on top of his body and declare that I’m the queen of the world, but instead of all of those things happening as soon as I saw blood on him, my heart skipped beats, I went crazy, I’ve hurt him and it hurt me more than it did him, I felt heart broken, I couldn’t believe that I’ve hurt him, and then my wolf knew what to do, we got closer to him. and licked the wounds clean.
Human Lotus would vomit before she even think of licking anyone, even if it’s Uncle Damian, I didn’t want to lick him, but wolf Lotus doesn’t care, she needs a name, she can be another flower, just not Lotus. After his wound didn’t look or smell bad anymore, why do wounds have smell! I scream to myself in my head, I wish we could talk, then I’d tell him about this smell and he could explain it to me, but then my wolf which is me, she answered me inside of our head and she told me that the different smell of wounds would tell us if it’s inflame, infected and how bad it is.
I wish I could answer her and ask her all the questions I had in mind, but sadly we couldn’t do that, the first time we shifted, she talked to me, made me feel crazy and I tried to run, but since walking was a hard skill already, running was impossible, and so I end up trying to sleep to avoid her, and that worked, I woke up in my human form. The second time, Uncle Damian talked us into it, and we managed to shift back into our human form, and finally this time, both Uncle Damian and wolf Flower managed to talk me into changing back to my human form. But that made me feel exhausted, I was so tired, as soon as we walked into the house, I dropped on the sofa and fell asleep I dreamed about wolf Lotus she was me, the golden retriever dog, and I could

hear her voice, the same one she uses while I’m awake and in wolf form.
“Don’t call me golden retriever, not nice,” she objects.
“Then don’t look like one, I have black hair, how did you end up golden?” I ask her.
“I don’t know, ask the goddess,” she answers me and I roll my eyes at her.
“Don’t roll your eyes at me Lotus, I’m Lotus too, and I know all of your moves,” she says.
“And so I know yours back,” I answer her with a shrug.
I took a seat on the ground, in the dream the two of us are outside behind the compound where we are allowed to shift. I looked at her copying me, she was very silent, and so was I, why was she here in my dream? I’m just exhausted, I wanted to rest, so even in the dream, I went to sleep, trying to relax since I’m exhausted.
I woke up for dinner, I can’t believe I slept for so long, and now I woke up in time for dinner, and I’m sure that I will fall back asleep this night without any troubles.
“Shifting the first couple of times is exhausting,” Wolf says, looking at me eating, I was starving, I know at first I could never finish my plate, I’d hardly make a dent in it, and nowadays I’ll eat the whole thing and sometimes I’ll ask for more, for second serving which was weird for me, where do all of that food go?
“I’ll be heading to my room,” I say still stuffing my mouth with food.
“Sit down, Little Flower, finish eating first,” Uncle Damian says, encouraging me to eat some more, which I did.

After I finished my second dinner, I went toward my room and Uncle Damian followed, we’ve been sharing my bed since mom died, and since I’m mostly back, I allowed him to stay because he’s really warm and I enjoyed it. I should tell Wolf Lotus that we’re more of cats than we are wolves, the golden retriever is a cat in reality.
I was starting to get ready to sleep when my phone rang, so I took the phone and answered it, my friend Nutmeg started talking as soon as I picked up, even before I said hello.
