“If she manages to kill you, I’ll get your stuff,” she says to him and then turns to me, her smile was gone, she looked sad and sorry for me.
“I’m sorry for your loss Lotus, I have never lost my mother, but we haven’t talked in ten years, she’s dead to me, but I understand your pain, and I’m sorry for your loss, it’ll never get better, you lost your damn mother, but after some time the pain will start to get normal, it won’t hurt as much as it does right now, you’re gonna be just okay,” she assures me, she even offered me a hug that I took, she knew my mother, since she gave us the self defense class.

“Fine.” I say, just wanting to get out of the dress, he offered me a T- shirt and a pair of short of his, so I took them and took off the dress, let down my hair, and washed my face, I didn’t have any make up on, but due to all the crying and excessive use of tissues my skin was all crispy and itching.
I finally sat down on his bed, I was exhausted, my whole body was tense, I felt like it’s hard to breathe, I didn’t know what to do anymore, mom is gone, and here I am sitting here confused, unable to move forward.
“You wanna try and sleep,” he says and I nod, too tired to fight him anymore. I placed my head on the pillow and tried to sleep, but I couldn’t sleep, I was awake until midnight.
“Unable to sleep?” he asks me and I nod, can’t he see that I can’t sleep.
“I have another option, I don’t know if you wanna do it or not, and it’s just going to be a one–time thing,” he says.
“What do you mean?” I ask confused.
“Well where I came from, they always said when you’re too sad or too happy, you just have to get drunk,” he says.
“I’m not even eighteen,” I comment.

“I know, but you lost your mother wanna get drunk?” he asks me and I had the smallest smile on my face.
“Okay, let’s get drunk,” I say sitting up in the bed, still dressed in his clothes, he got his keys, phone and told me to get going, we’re both dresses in pyjamas, where are we going? I don’t think any bar would agree to serve us looking like this.
I didn’t question him, and we both went through the floors, we weren’t leaving the building which made it even stranger, he was listening through the doors, until we found the one he’s looking for. He knocked on the door, and then waited for someone to open, when no one opened he yelled at them.
“You’re not in trouble, just open the door,” he says and knock again, and finally the opened, it was four students, pretending to be innocent.
