New School.
Lotus POV
Since this place is going to become my home. I decided to make this room mine, so I started to put things up, placing all of my clothes in the closet and placing what little of decoration I managed to bring from home. I finished setting things up and sat on my phone, just scrolling through, but my brain kept going back to everything that was going on with me. about mom and the new living situation.
GIT. I groaned to myself and threw myself head first on the pillow, it’s very soft, and comfy, I didn’t have anything like it back home, but that only made me angrier, this place is a million time better than our home and what we could ever afford. I got off the bed and placed the pillow on the floor, laid there since it felt more like home, except it smelled cleaner, this whole room was mocking me, and mocking how poor I

I closed my eyes wishing to be’dead, or to kill Levent and be over with it, go back home, or anywhere else but being here, instead of my dream becoming true, and some wild fairy coming and giving me everything I wish for. Side note, we live in a world where wolves exist and they have their own mates, and they make marks appears on human skin out of the blue, why is hoping for a fairy god mother such a wild thing.
“Lotus, wakey wakey,” it was mom’s voice, she was shaking me awake.
“What? Did the wolf die?” I ask her, both eyes still closed.
“That’s not nice,” Mom scolds right away.

“You’re not nice.” I answer her with a groan.
“Just wake up, it’s time for dinner,” she says.
“I’m not hungry,” I answer her.
“Come on my pretty Lotus, it’s time to get up.” Mom says sitting on the floor next to me, petting my head, leaving small kisses all over my face.
“You can’t just come here, baby me a little and think I’ll do what you want,” I say waking up, sitting straight.
“I’m your mother, that’s my job actually,” she says with a shrug.
“Does it work on the wolf too?” I ask her.
“On him, it’s much easier,” she says with a giggle.
“You’re a monster, I’m your innocent daughter,” I say with a fake gasp.
“Daughter, agreed. Innocent? Doubt it,” she chuckles and gets up from the ground, pulling me with her, she dragged me to the kitchen, the wolf was standing near the stoye with only his shorts on, cooking.
“Ehm,” I say, clearing my throat and looking at him, is he going to stay naked in front of me.
“Take a seat, the food is almost ready,” he orders. Mom obeys right away, and I take my sweet time taking a seat. He offers us two plates. filled to the brim with food, and then he gets his own plate, just as full.
“Bon appétit.” he says, and starts eating his food. Mom dug in too. I was going to act like I wasn’t hungry and not eat anything from what the wolf cooked, but the smell was really good, and all the emotional drama I’d been through today had me starving.

I took a small bite, deciding to only pick and nibble from the plate, but damn was the food so good, I at until I was full, finishing less than a quarter of the dish, how much does he think we cat? I looked at mom’s plate, she had a tiny bit more than I did, but wasn’t close to finishing it.
“Honey, remember how we talked about humans eating less,” Mom says, wiping her mouth clean, holding up her wine glass.
“I didn’t give you much, you two are too thin,” Levent says.
“He’s trying to fatten us so he could eat us,” I say out loud, not meaning to say it out loud, I was thinking to myself.
“LOTUS!” mom says her eyes going wild, while the wolf was quiet just looking at me, I too stayed quiet, but then the silent was broken by Levent’s loud laugh.
“You’re funny flower,” he says. I wasn’t happy about him giving me that nickname again, but at least he wasn’t mad.
“Very funny,” Mom says, giving me a side glare.
“I know you were thinking it too,” I challenge her, she’s the place where I got my sense of humor.
“It’s just that wolves, we need a lot more energy and food, I’ll keep it in mind to give you a smaller amount of food next time,” Levent says with a chuckle.
“Do you have to turn into wolf and feed it too?” I ask him, he laughed again, he thinks I’m so funny for real.
“I’m the wolf, Flower, he’s not a pet I’m keeping, it’s my other half, so no I don’t need to shift to feed it. I’m it.” he assures me.
“Lotus, please stop.” Mom begs me, thinking that I’m doing it on purpose, but I was curious.
“Let her be Viki, she can asks all the questions she wants,” Levent
says.
“Yeah, let me ask mother.” I say with a smile on my face.
“When you get your ass in troubles, don’t come to me crying,” Mom says, putting the rest of her food away, and cleaning her utensils.
“I won’t get in trouble.” I say, challenging the wolf to say otherwise, he’s not my father.
“Don’t be so sure of it,” he challenges back.
“You’re not my father,” I remind him.
‘Stepfather, on another note, tomorrow you start school,” he says changing the topic, I turned to mom but she ignored me.
“School?” I say out loud, we just moved here, and they expect me to go to school?
“Yes, school, you’re a teenager and a student what do you expect to do all day?” Levent says with a raised brow
“I want to go back to Lady of Mercy highschool,” I say, wanting to go back to my old school.
“That’s a bit too far away now Flower, you’re gonna love Saint Paul Highschool,” he promises me.
“I won’t.” I answer them, getting up from the table and leaving back to my room, or at least attempting to do so, I lost my way twice, it’s just a
New School
condo, but it’s three time the size of our old house, and I it had so many doors.
I slammed my door behind me, announcing that I’m really mad at their new plans for me, to have me sent to a new school, I know they mentioned it on the way here, but I didn’t think it would happen this quickly. I got my phone and started to search this new school, Saint Paul School, the first picture I saw was one of a wolf. I groaned and moved to the next one.
The students don’t look different from other schools, they have their own uniform, they have classes like a typical school. A very fancy- looking school. I could tell it was expensive, but it was the only thing that was different from my old school, their mascot was a wolf, a wolf growling to be exact.
The wolf as a mascot wasn’t the only one present in the photos of the school, since it’s mainly a werewolf school, it’s wolf friendly, it allows everyone to shift into their wolf form when needed, they even have a whole segment about the help they would offer your wolf in case it’s
needed. There wasn’t any part that talked about the humans.se it’s

terrified of the wolves, my fear isn’t crazy fear, if they are far away from me. I won’t cry or scream, but if they came closer to me, I don’t know how I would react to them. This school is filled with wolves, I’m destined to cross path with them, a thing that wasn’t a possibility even in my old school or neighborhood, I wanted to go back so badly.
I looked through the window and saw the street, the open streets. I know we’re surrounded by woods, but it’s a town like my other home, if I leave from the front door, but I haven’t seen any buses on the way here, I had to think, I don’t drive, so I won’t know how to get out of here.
I groaned and took a seat again, I need a way out of here, and a place to head to, home, it’s still home, I made mom promise not to sell it, but it’s empty, but it’s still my home.
Tomorrow. I’m gonna go to school, then I’ll look for a way out, c maybe a better plan, tomorrow, I’ll pretend to fall sick, I’ll make myself vomit if I have to, and then she can’t force me to go to this new school. With the plan formed, I got ready to sleep. I got in the offending soft bed, and closed my eyes, sleep took me after several trials, we used to be good friends, me and sleep, but now he doesn’t like me.
“Wake up. Flower!” I heard the voice calling. I woke up with a jolt. sitting up in the bed and looking for the wolf, did he enter my room? He must have been standing near the door, because his voice felt so strong and loud, I hated him.
“Buzz off,” I yelled back, mom didn’t allow swearing.
“As long as you get up,” he calls back, and leave going toward goes where, I had to start my plan, to get up and make myself sick.
I went to the bathroom and thought about washing my face, but that would only make me look awake and ready. I changed my mind, I placed both hands on my face and kept rubbing until my cheeks turned pink, and then I messed my hair, to make it look like I’ve had a rough night, and then the grand finale, was forcing myself to vomit, I placed. my finger deep in my throat, and said goodbye to last night dinner.
Once done, feeling disgusted and looking pale, I left my room holding my hand, calling to my mommy, I found her in the kitchen, when she saw me, her face paled, and she ran to my side. She touched my forehead to check if I had any fever, she asked me if I was okay, and she was falling so well to my trick, I’m staying home today, and I’ll find a damn way to get out of this place.

“You don’t smell sick.” Levent says.
“Smell sick?” I repeat after him.
“Yes, you don’t smell of any sickness,” he repeats
“What are you feeling?” Mom asks me
“My stomach is killing me, and my head, I don’t feel well.” I groaned
“She doesn’t smell to be in heat either,” Wolf said and I forgot my plan. and glared at him, I’m going to kill him.
“He means your period,” mom explains to me, translating
“Are you sure it’s not just your nerves.” Mom says.
“Nerves for what?” I ask her feeling offended.
“Starting a new school and all.” she says.
“Well, I’m not going,” I say in a firm voice.
“Who said so?” she answers.
“I did.” I answer.
“You’re going,” she says and I stood taller, trying to make my spot stronger.
“I am not, you can not force me to leave my home, move in with your wolf, and then send me to a new random school,” I say angrily
“Don’t call him wolf, I brought you to a better home than I could ever
afford, and you’re going to a new school, not to the military,” she says.
“The military could be arranged,” the wolf mumbled and we both turned to him with a glare.
“Fine…fine…I’ll be quiet, but on the record, I don’t mind being called wolf,” he says with a smile, leaving me and mom to fight it through.
