Car Chase.
Damian POV
I dreamt of her. I told her not to leave and she said okay, she said she’s going to stay right here with me, she’s going to be mine forever and ever, the goddess has brought her into my life and I’ll never let her out.
I woke up around six am, when my brother was moving around his own house, how annoying of him, I groaned and woke up, I tried to listen up to see if she’s awake, but she didn’t make any noise, maybe she’s still sleeping. it’s only six am after all, I can’t expect the whole house to be awake this early.
I’m going back to sleep, I say to myself and close my eyes again, I refuse to wake up this early. I’m ditching the academy so I could sleep a little bit more, and I’m not getting up until she’s up and ready to talk a little bit more, and I’m not getting up u to me. I think I managed to get another hour of sleep, and then it was time for everyone to wake up, the alarms in the house started to go out, I don’t get how my brother can survive with alarms this loud, we’re wolves we have better hearing than humans, and these loud noises are annoying.
“Brother, wake the fuck up and turn your stupid alarm off,” I yell at my brother, the noise was extremely annoying.
“It’s not mine, it’s your mate’s she doesn’t like waking up,” Brother yells
back.
“I’ll wake her up.” I offer, she might throw the alarm clock at me when she sees me, but I didn’t care, I’ll get a chance to see her when she first

wakes up. I’m imagining how her would be all messed up, how her hair is in her eyes, how cute she’d look, I felt my heart melting and other parts of me hardening from only thinking of her, and imagining her waking up.
“Lotus,” I say before daring to open her door, I knocked and waited for her to groan, answer or talk to me, anything that would tell me she’s awake and she won’t be scared from seeing me walk into her room.
When I didn’t hear a noise, not even breathing noise, I started to get worried, so I opened the door and walked in the door, but she wasn’t there, all I could find was her damn alarm clock. I moved inside the room, turned the damn thing off, and then looked at her. I went out. I called her name, I knocked on the door and she didn’t answer.
“Levent, have you seen Lotus?” I ask him worriedly, where did she go?
“In her room.” Levent answers me.
“She’s not there, or in the bathroom, nor in the living room, kitchen…” I say in a worried voice, they get where I’m going with this, I can’t find
her.
“She’s not in the house? Maybe she went down to Nutmeg’s place.”

“The beta’s home, right, everyone feels safe around the beta,” I say thinking out loud, my own beta is coming over, he should get his ass here by now: or is really close by.
I walked out of the house and went down a few floors to the beta’s place, I knocked on her door twice waiting for her to open the door or me, she did after a few seconds, she was dressed and ready for the day.

“Hey. Alpha Damian, you’re here to ask about your Beta? He’s stuck at the gate. I talked them into allowing him in, they’re just finishing his paper work,” she says, and I nod gratefully, River has to go through some paper work before being allowed in, unlike me who’s papers were ready since I was assigned in.
“I’m not here to ask about him, although thank you very much,” I say, answering her, ready to ask my lost mate.
“So what brought you here this early?” she asks me.
“Lotus, she knows, and she’s not home, is she here? With your daughter?” I ask her.
“No, we haven’t seen her, Nutmeg having one of her bad period days, she got Mariano staying up by her side the whole night, if they’ve seen Lotus they would have told me,” she says.
“Okay, thanks,” I say turning back, going back to my brother place, planning on asking them where she could be, and who else she called close friends other than Nutmeg.
“If you need help, just call me.” Beta Emmalyn calls after me, as I went back upstairs.
“She’s not there, where would she have gone?” I ask them..
“Nutmeg is her only friend that I know off, I doubt she’d go to any of those guys friends, and she likes Rosie, but she doesn’t know how to get there,” Victoria says.
“She doesn’t have a car, the only buy around here would take her t academy.” Levent says and then I noticed something missing from the coffee table, I placed it there last night when we got back.

“My keys.” I say, I did let her drive it that one time, but she didn’t have enough skills to drive my car without crashing!
“What keys?” Victoria asks, confused.
“My car keys, they’re gone.” I say, and then Victoria starts calling her daughter, she sent her a million messages trying to get her to answer, to tell us where the hell she is, and if she’s alive or dead.
“What if she crashes?” I say worried, fear having the best of me, I was terrified for my mate, if she dies, I’ll live with the pain of losing her forever, she won’t take me with her to the second life, which is stupid in my opinion, Celine should take the both of us, if rejecting each other kills us, so should losing each other, it’s not fair to live with her love but without her.
“Let’s just pray she’s okay.” Levent says, trying to get me to relax.
“She’s okay! she got my damn car and she doesn’t drive,” I yell at my brother, it’s not his fault, I don’t mean to take it off on him, but I’m angry. I’m frustrated.

“We’ll take your car,” I say looking at my brother, hoping he won’t mind giving me his car, so I’d look for my mate.
“Let’s go,” Levent says and we both left the house, we got in his car and he started to drive us around, she can’t be far, we drove the whole compound twice, and we couldn’t find her.
River called me, saying he made it in, and he’s heading my way, I told him to ask the security if they saw my car, if they saw me leaving, just
pretend not to be able to find me or reach me. It took River three minutes before he called me back, how long does it take for him to just ask them a few stupid questions, he’s my beta and I’m his alpha, we belong to same pack, they could share that information about us.
“Your car has left in a hurry this morning, like really early morning. around four am,” River says his voice was bland and cold, he doesn’t know what’s going on, he thinks that my car was stolen, he doesn’t know it’s my mate who took it.
“Stay at the gate, Levent gonna drop me there.” I say, looking at my brother who just nods, after all of this end, I’m going to buy him a good bottle of Whiskey to thank him for all of his help..
“Waiting.” River answers me, ending the call, Levent drove me over, I got out of my brother car and moved toward River’s driver seat, I opened the door for him telling him to get the hell out.
I took the driver seat and moved quickly out of the compound and off the main road, where would she go?
I started to drive in the near roads, she wants to get away from me, so she can’t be too far away, I went toward the ice cream shop, we went

way, but through that road twice, she knows it, so maybe she’d unlucky me, I couldn’t find her. I started to drive a bit farther away, she had the car for hours now, she must have found her way around someplace.
“Call the nearest police station, ask if they have any car crashes,” I tell River.
“On it boss, but why are we looking for your car?” he asks me.
“Because my mate took my car,” I say between gritted teeth.

“You allowed her to take your car? You love that thing.” River says. shocked.
“I love her more than I care for that car, I told you she’d mad at me, and she doesn’t want a mate, she’s trying to get away from me,” I say it out loud, the ice cold truth..
“Doesn’t she know she’s going to die if she gets too far away?” he asks

“She doesn’t understand it fully, clearly,” I say with a groan, the police station answered saying that they had no car crashes with my car information, they asked if I’d want to come down station and declare it stolen, of course, I said that it’s my mate who took it, so it’s fine.
“Where the hell did she go! River help!” I yell again.
“I’d love to help, but I know nothing about her,” River answers me.
“She’s she’s…my little flower,” I say which wasn’t any help for him.
“I don’t know how to help you with that,” River says

“I know.” I groaned, that’s when my phone rang, I answered it, it’s Victoria her mother.
“We found her. I’m sending you the location, she passed out, the guy who called said she’s dehydrated or god knows what, please get my baby back.” Victoria says.
I ended the call with her, and waited for the location, once I got it, I drove like a crazy guy, I saw my car on the road, it had a couple scratches on it, nothing too serious or fatal, it’s just a rookie driving
mistakes. I wouldn’t hand her a car yet, she hardly knows the main rules of driving a car.
“She’s going to be okay.” River assures me.
“How do you know?” I ask him.
“She’s your mate, she gotta be a bad ass, she won’t go down that casily,” River says making me smile.
“Just wait till I reach her,” I say, I’m going to beat her ass for scaring me this badly, she could be hurt, dead, or worse.
“You’re gonna hug her, kiss her, and maybe even cry,” River says in a teasing voice.
“I’m not going to do those,” I say out loud but inside, I wanted to hug her and kiss her, make sure she’s okay, I wanted to hold her close and never let her go.
After we found my car, we moved forward some more, it was another thirty minute drive with my crazy speed, she walked this whole distance to the gas station, I left the car running and ran inside to see my mate. She was sitting down on a chair next to the cashier holding a ice pack against her head.
“Lotus.” I say my wolf taking charge, and making me move according to his will, I scooped her up and hugged her tight, breathing in her scent, she didn’t fight me, she didn’t push me, she hugged me back, she didn’t reject me either which was what I was most scared of. She was safe, in my arms, everything was going to be okay now, I got her back, my little flower.
“I’m sorry for hitting your car,” she whispers against my chest.
Car Chase
“Let it burn, I don’t care as long as you’re fine.” I say holding her event tighter, making her groan.
“Let me go,” she says having hard time breathing.
“I told you you’re gonna hug her,” I heard River teasing voice coming from behind me.
“She’s my mate, what do you expect?” I asked him with a shrug, it’s just the normal thing to do.
“Let her go so I can proper hello,” River says and I let her down, she turned to River and I could see how red her checks where, she was a sweaty mess breathing hard.
“River, this asshole Beta, and your new best friend,” my right hand says shaking my mate’s hand.
“Lotus,” she answers him.
“The car thief,” I add in a teasing voice, making River laugh and her cheeks to get a darker shade of red.
