Nutmeg’s words were in my head the whole day, Damian is an alpha and no one bothered to tell me, I was so fucking mad at him, at them, at the whole world for not telling me that they’re messing with me, keeping secrets from me.
“Are you okay?” Rosie asks, she had Roxie with her even in school, she counts as a service dog in the wolf world maybe.
“I’m fine,” I lied, I wasn’t okay, I was angry and lost.
“Do you want Roxie to hug you?” she offers.
“You don’t do hugs?” I ask Rosie.
“Uhhh…I prefer not to, but she’d cuddle,” she assures me.
“I don’t want to get her off her job track, I hear that service dogs shouldn’t be petted during their work,” I say, and she looked like she was thinking of my words.
“Makes sense, mom said Roxie’s breed need a job, and I’m her assignment, she’s on job twenty–four seven, it’s what keeps her sane, but she doesn’t mind some cuddles when she’s relaxed,” Rosie ar

“So did you heard as well?” I ask Rosie, if she too knew and didn’t tell me, I’ll feel very betrayed and maybe then I’m better just getting a damn dog and loving it instead of my traitors family.

“Heard what? I hear a lot of stuff.” Rosie says.
“About the academy and our visit,” I say and she nods, I did a motion with my hand encouraging her to keep going, Nutmeg was gone, she failed her math exam and is having to retake it, which means that it’s only me and her.
“I heard that a lot of them liked Roxic, and some says they would take her down in a fight, but Oscar said Roxic would win, there’s a rumor that Nutmeg is definitely pregnant with how bad the bed was shaking. and the last one is about you,” she says in a calm voice.
“Me?” I ask, does she mean the one where I’m being threatened.
“Damian is new, and people don’t like him much, it’s normal for new wolves to be hated at first, he didn’t win their respect yet, they fear him, but they won’t put their lives on the line for him,” she starts, and then I remembered how he threatened them yesterday if they dared to touch me.
“And he made it clear that if anyone dares to touch me, he’d kill them.” I say and she nods.
“Did you knew he’s an alpha?” I ask her next.
“Alpha? He could be, he’s dominant so it’s possible,” she answers me with a shrug.
“Rosie, you’re my best friend right now,” I say, making her smile.
“I thought you liked Nutmeg better,” she answers me.
“I love her, and I love you too,” I assured her which made the smile get deeper, didn’t she have friends before? I had no idea and didn’t want to ruin the good moment with that stupid question.
“You didn’t know he’s an alpha?” she asks me.
“Nope, no one bothered to tell me,” I say with a groan.
“But you could tell?” she asks me.
“I don’t know how,” I answer her.
“You feel that they have stronger aura, you’d obey them always, and you’d feel safer around them, I bet when they talk together I mean your uncle and step–dad, your uncle is the one in charge right?” she asks me, and I did see all of that, I also saw it back in the academy but I thought it was because he’s their training officer.
“Oh, okay, makes sense,” I say, buy I still planned on talking to him about it, or maybe I won’t talk to him, he could go to hell for all I cared, why the hell do I care so much, and why is he keeping stuff from me.
“You’re mad at him?” Rosie asks me.
“Just a tiny bit,” I answer her.
“It feels like a lot more than a tiny bit,” she says and I just shrugged. I was really really mad at him right now.
“You know what you act like,” she asks with a sneaky smile on her
face.
“What?” I say with a sigh, ready to hear her, and see what she‘ compare us to.
“You act like you’ve been mated for twenty years, mom does the same when she’s mad at dad, same face,” she says giggling.

“We’re not mates,” I say quickly, but it also hurt saying so, we’re not mates because he got his own mate back at home, and she’s a bitch. I don’t need to know her but I had a feeling that she’s a real ass bitch.
“I didn’t say you are, just that you act like it,” she says with another giggle.
“Suddenly I love Nutmeg a lot more,” I say with a groan.
“Too late, you already said you love me,” she warns me making me chuckle as well, she’s right, I already said it.
“You…” we heard the queen bitch high voice yell from the door, what’s wrong with her? She stopped trying to mess with me for a bit and now she’s back, I know bullies are like addict they can’t stay away for long.
“What’s wrong with her now,” I groaned, what the fuck is up with her? I already had enough today, and now she is joining too.
“You fucking bitch!” she says now standing facing me.
“What’s wrong now?” I ask her in a cold voice, ready to kick her ass in necessary, I wasn’t in the mood for any of this.
“First you walk into the school like you own it, and next you got Mariano on your side and now this new alpha, what kind of a whore are you.” she says and I pushed her, I was done with her, she had no right sticking her nose in my business, that guy is my uncle, and Mariano is my friend’s mate.
“For god’s sake, fuck off.” I yelled at her.
“No,” she growls and tries to attack me, but I was faster, I punched her face, breaking her nose, my fighting knowledge came from going to

public school, I never was the one fighting, but I have watched enough fights to know how to act and how to throw a punch.
“Now, leave me the hell alone, come on Rosie.” I say as both she and her guardian dog stood confused looking at me, looking at us, they didn’t expect any of this from me.
“Come on Roxic.” Rosic calls her dog, following me out.
“You better leave before the rest of her pack decides to take it off on you.” Rosie says.
“Wanna ditch?” I ask her, and she nods.-
We both walked out of the school door, right out of the door, no one bothered stopping us or telling us that we can’t leave without an adult along with us or permission. I didn’t know where to go, so I let Rosie take the lead, she knew the roads better than me, she started walking a very familiar road.
“Where are we going?” I ask her.
“Beta’s house,” she answers me like it’s the most logical answer ever.
“Why?” Why are we going to Nutmeg’s mom house, Beta Emmalyn’s
house.
“Because you got into a fight in school, and I don’t want to go home where mom would kill me for walking on the road alone, best place to hide.” she says.
“Okay, makes sense,” I agree with her, we made it to the building in twenty minutes, we moved straight to the beta’s place.

“The school called, I have to get over there, you two can stay here, Rosie if anything happens, yell,” Beta Emmalyn says as she opened the door ushered us in and was ready to leave.
“And girls,” she says, turning back from the door, “There’s food in the fridge,” she says and then finally she leaves. We raided her fridge, and then sat back down talking, I asked her what she planned on doing and she said her mom would pick her up after her shift, and we got back to my topic.
“What am I going to do?” I ask her.
“What is that you’re thinking about?” Rosie asks me.
“The fact that he’s an alpha and never told me,” I answer her with a groan, I was so frustrated from that, from the fact that he lied to me.

“Face him? Is that your advice? Would you have done it?” I ask her.
“Oh nu. I would have sent Roxie first, told her to attack, and then maybe then, I’d face them while they licking their wounds.” she
answers me.
“Rosic, you’re evil, but you’re so hidden, you’d never guess it,” I say looking at her with wide eyes, which only made her smile.

adrenaline was still coursing in my veins, and I felt so alive, if I see uncle I’m gonna punch him too for lying to me, I don’t like liars, I thought we were good.
“If you want to, but it’s not a walking distance, there’s a bus that passes by every fifteen minutes, he’d drop you there,” she says, so there are buses, I never saw them.
“How come I never saw it?” I ask her.
“It’s a small yellow bus, it has the academy logo all over it,” she says.
“How much do I pay him?” I ask her next, unsure of how much cash I got on me.
“Nothing, it’s free,” she answers me.
“Okay, I’m going.” I say and she gives me a thumbs up.
I left the house quickly, before my brain could play any trick on me and have me pull back like the coward that I know I really am. I walked till the bus stop and wait for it, it only took it a couple minutes, I sat in there alone, thankfully no one was in the bus with me during the ride to the academy.
I thought of what I’m going to say, and at how angry I fucking am, I’m going to kill him, to chew his butt, to beat him up, I don’t know I was going to do something. I felt hot tears stream down my cheeks, the frustration was getting the best of me now.
“Are you okay girl?” the driver asks me.
“I’m fine, we’re here?” I ask him.

“Yes, we are,” he says opening the door for me, I got out and walked toward the door, last time Wolf drove us and Damian was waiting for us inside. This time, I walked in alone, and I didn’t know where to go to first, he did show me the academy, but he never told me where to find him, if he had an office for example or where I should be looking for him, we never agreed on me paying him surprise visits either.
I went toward the outside where he told me they do most of their. training. I might find him or Thalia and then I’d give her a piece of my mind of how I think her and her talking to my…my…he’s my uncle, that’s what he is to me.
I saw students looking at me, they gave me the side eyes as they were walking by, I didn’t need extra strong hearing to know that they were whispering about me, and about my presence.
I hoped one of them would be nice enough to point me out to where Damian is, I mean Uncle Damian, he’s just uncle Damian, but my brain was playing tricks on me. I walked outside and saw the students run and fight, they were all over the place, but they were doing it with discipline and order, they had their training guy with them, my guy.
My eyes went straight toward him, zooming in on him and ignoring everyone else, I walked toward him with my mind fully made, I’m kicking his ass, and then I’ll see what I’ll decided to do later, but that’s my step one.
“Damian.” I yell angrily, getting his and everyone’s else attenti but I didn’t care, alpha my ass, he’s gonna have the taste of my fists, but knowing my luck things never go like I expect them to, I was stopped before I made it to him, and then it was pure chaos, I couldn’t tell with my human eyes who attacked first or who landed the first hit.
I couldn’t even tell who was fighting whom, it was pure chaos with me
in the middle, my fight or flight reflex has been going for a bit now, but it turned from being fight and kill to flight, I wanted to run away, this was a big mistake, I don’t know what I had in mind walking in here wanting to beat an alpha’s ass.
