Chapter 218 First Mission.
Noelle POV
“Ready.” I heard a whisper over my head, but I ignored it, I’m not in the safe house anymore. I’m back in the station, not as a prisoner this time, instead. I’m here as part of the team. I got a room in the same floor as the guys, there isn’t many female in here, so they don’t bother to separate us, everyone sleep on the same floor, we’re one big family, no one would be looking at another member of the team in a way that isn’t brotherly.
“Now,” another voice says in a hurry, and then I felt it, they have dropped a bucket of cold water over me, while I was sleeping in bed, safely, warmly.
I opened my eyes and was ready to beat their arses, and they knew it, they took off running laughing like hyenas, knowing too well that I’m going to kill them.
“You’re dead,” I warn them, getting out of the bed quickly, and running after them ignoring the fact that I’m fully wet, and my bed is wet as well.
It was Mateo of course, who else would be messing with me, along with one guy of the team, his name is Remi, and I love him on usual days, but not right now. They ran to where they think they’d be safe, to where Brooklyn is in hope she’d save them from me, we found her in the kitchen having her first cup of coffee of the day, she’s a coffee addict, you don’t know someone until you spend enough time with them.

“I’m killing them.” I inform her
“What they do??” she asks, like the patient mother she is, she doesn’t just have Whitney, she have a whole team of fifteen wolves who act like children around her
“They threw a bucket of water on me, while I slept,” I say, making sure she knows I was sleeping.
“You wouldn’t wake up, you need to wake up,” Mateo says.
“Yeah, you can’t sleep in on your first day,” Remi adds.
“First day of what?” I ask him, confused what he’s talking about, I always wake up early, it’s even carlier than usual, and it’s a miracle that Brooklyn have made it over so early.
“You know, Whitney gives easier time, when she’s throwing a tantrum than you two do,” she says turning to me and Mateo, while Remi was giving her his puppy eyes, telling her he’s all innocent.
“What first day, Mom?” I say, using the mom title to tease her up, that’s all, she’s not my mother, a big sister maybe, but she’s not my mother, although we have her treating us like one.
“You’re going on your first mission,” she says, and I started to jump up and down with happiness, I’m going to join them finally! I’m not going to stay behind and wait for them, finally I can join them.
“I’ll go get ready,” I say running back upstairs to my room, to shower, change and get dressed.
“Put on your uniform,” she calls out after me, I took a shower, I styled my hair, and put on the uniform, although I hate wearing clothes that I

didn’t pick, but this is for my work, so I don’t mind it anymore.
I joined the rest in the kitchen, we first had breakfast and then Brooklyn called four of us to her office, we’re the ones who are going on this mission.
“We have received a complain about a border disturbance between two packs, possible stolen property, escalating tension.” The way the Captain said it, I imagined something illegal, definitely something dangerous.
We got our gear ready and got in the car, it was me and my two boys, along with Remi, I tried to ask them if they knew what the fight is about, how dangerous the situation might be.
“We never know, sometimes it’s a pack attack, others we’re just there to break a fight or confusion,” Ezra says.
“One time it was two elderly wolf who were fighting over who’s pie is better, in laws, you know,” Mateo says with a giggle, so maybe it could just be something stupid, but I hoped my first mission is going to be something dangerous and scary, I want it to be worth it.
“We’re not too far away, hopefully we’ll get this over with by dinner time,” Remi says, checking the paperwork we got for the mission.
It’s not that everyone need to spend days like they did in the snow pack, I’d prefer to get back home and sleep in my own bed, we parked the car and walked in, we looked like badasses, walking in with our full gear and our uniforms.
“We’re here on behalf on captain Brooklyn, what seem to be the problem?” Ezra asks as we stood behind him.

“She stole what’s mine!” A young wolf female wolf esprimer hand at a human standing on the other side of her pack teritors
“I stole nothing.” the human girl says.
“Ladies, what are we talking about?” Ezra ask them
“She stole Mr. Ice,” the wolf says.
“Mr Ice,” I repeat confused, is that a code word for something else? Drugs?
“My cat,” the wolf says and I felt another bucket of cold water being thrown over my head, are they for real?
