“So it’s your turn,” Paul says, after telling me the whole story of how they got married, his mate Emma, she was a wolf who could smell her mate blood and ran there to save him, she picked him up, keeping his brain inside of his skull and then ran to the nearest hospital.
When they needed blood to match his, she gave her own, when they needed bone, she gave up some of her own as well, she was on his side the whole three month it took him to recover.
And as soon as he was healthy enough to go through the change, she had him changed into a wolf to help him heal quicker, to help him get better and feel more of himself and more of her mate.
Now he’s a wolf and when he shifts, his face has a small deformity from having metal plates instead of bone, but he’s still handsome in his mate’s eyes, and she adores him, I wished I had the same kind of love they do, maybe finding my mate is what I need to get over everything that happened.
“I don’t have anything to say,” I say with a shrug.
“You don’t get sent here except for a reason, what’s yours?” he asks me.
“Court order,” I answer directly with a shrug.
“No one is here by their own choice Princess,” he
says.
“I’m not a princess,” I object, sounding like Lotus.

“I’m here because of some things that I’ve been through,” I confess.
“Yes, wanna talk about them? I already told you my whole story,” he
says.
“Are you going to act like Phoebe and tell me to imagine a traffic light, because that bitch is the reason I’m going to cross all the red lights ahead of me,” I say, sounding frustrated with her, I had enough of her and all the stupid exercises.
“I see, many people say that Phoebe cause them anger instead of helping with their anger,” he says and I laughed out loud, he’s so right, she pisses me off.
“Maybe they should change her?” I suggest.
“No, they like that she pisses people off, if you manage not to kill her, then you’re good to go out in the world,” he says and I laughed again.
I felt so relaxed around him, like he’s part of my family, a friend I was familiar with, although I like my freak show in the facility, I like to have friend who I don’t need to watch out what I’m saying around them or what kind of demons they have in their souls.
“Now talk,” he orders me again and I groaned, I could tell him some stuff.
“So I was raised by my mom and dad, you know like other people, I have an older sister, she was mated to a jerk, and she killed him,” I say with a slight smile on my face.

“That’s wonderful, I’m happy for them, were you happy in that house where you grew up?” he asks me.
“Oh yeah, I was. But weird things would happen back then, you’d see my mother crying, my father getting angry, the pack weren’t the best thing out there,” I say with a shrug.
“So your pack was abusive, you stayed with them?” he asks me.
“No, my older sister, Mia, she ran away from her mate, and came back to my parents, they were sent on a trip by the alpha, and they died in a plane crash, and then we ran away from that place, it didn’t feel safe, it didn’t feel like home, all I cared about was Mia, and it was just the two of us then,” I say honestly.
“I see that sister means a lot for you, is she the reason why you ended up here?” he asks me next.
“I was protecting her, she’s with child, a boy, the old alpha Ronan Vile sent people over to our place wanting to kill my sister for embarrassing him,” I say.
“That must have been terrifying, so you were part of her safety team?” he asks me.
“I ran patrol, the new alpha, he found out since I day I came in, the best way to deal with my anger was to put me to work, he had me running patrol since I was fourteen, I loved it,” I say with a smile on my face, running was such a helper for my mood and having me feel normal.
