“Hello,” I say, walking in the room to meet with Brooklyn my sponsor and the one in charge of me directly, I don’t belong to any pack now by court order, I was kicked out of the snow pack, which makes me packless.
“Hey, I got your sister letter, and a picture sent by Lotus, and a pie sent by Nutmeg,” he says telling me to take a seat, she handed me everything along with two forks so we could share the pie.
“Did you tell her the food here isn’t as bad?” I ask with a mouth filled with my favourite apple pie.
“I didn’t, she should keep on sending you these, I can’t have anything sweet in my home without Whitney eating enough to get herself sick,” she says with a chuckle, so that makes sense why she always brings two forks.
“I agree, they don’t have anything sweet here,” I say still eating the food with a big smile on face.
“So tell me about your week,” she says.

“What’s that? AA? I’m not an alcoholic though,” I warn her, they seem to be willing to throw me into any class they could find.
“Not that girl, but you like running patrol, and I like you, so I’m going to put in a request for you to start running with the wolves around here,” she says.
“Why would I do that?” I ask her with a raised brow, why would I want to run with them, I don’t even like them.
“Because that would put you one step closer to my team,” she says.

“They won’t let you out of this place unless if you have somewhere else to go, a pack to take you in or a job, and I’m offering you one,” she says, explaining to me why it’s the best choice to do as she says.

“The situation,” I whine, I hate when she’s right and she uses these techniques on me that actually work.
“Good, now I’m offering you an option to get out of a situation you’re not happy about, which is better? Staying here until you get a job offer that you like or a pack to take you, or coming to work for me, you know I’m fair, you know my guys, you spent time with us and they visit you once a week, don’t they,” she says explaining why working for her would be a much better option than staying in here until I rot.
“Fine, I wanna work for you,” I say with a sigh, if she’s the one who was giving the anger management, all of us would have graduated and stopped being angry all the damn time.
“Good, then you’re gonna join the patrol, I’m sending one of the boys, who do you want? Ezra or Mateo,” she says with a big smile on her face.
