Noelle POV.
I know alpha Ronan would mess with your head, would slip ideas that weren’t there, it’s his way to control people, and trying to control me wasn’t out of the question for him. But first let’s rewind to what happened to me after my arresting, or as the captain likes to put it, I’m just having a sleepover at her place.
As soon as we walked into their station which is a giant building that belongs to the government and the army, I was showed to a private room, they said that I won’t be placed in a cell, I’m a guest here and if I don’t give the captain any troubles, then I will be kept in a proper room during my whole stay.
“Ezra, call the nurse, tell him to come and check on Noelle,” Captain orders when I was given a room.
“Yes, Ma’am,” Ezra says and walks away to get the nurse for my injuries, ten minutes later I was getting a whole check–up, asking me a million questions about my injuries and how they happened.
“I tried to shift,” I say, and he stops me, holding up a hand.
“You tried to shift back, after you were injured, shifted back to human. and trying to shift back to wolf?” he asks me, and I nod.
“Yes,” I say with a shrug.
“How long was it?” he asks.

“How long I tried t shift?” I ask him.
“No, I mean how much time did you leave in between, six hours?” he asks, and I chuckled.
“More like three minutes maybe,” I say with a shrug.
“Minutes? Are you insane?” he yells at me.
“She’s just a tiny bit insane,” Ezra comments.
“We were in war, under attack, I wasn’t thinking, I had to do something,” I say defending myself and what I had to do to keep my family safe.
“It’s a miracle you didn’t die, or made things worse,” the nurse scolds me and I just shrug, he worked on cleaning me, and wrapping my ankle.
“No shifting allowed,” he orders and I raised a brow at him.
“It’s not because of your stay here, right nurse?” Ezra asks him for me.
“No, it’s so she won’t die or get a heart attack from pushing her body too far, even wolves can die when their heart stop,” the nurse says, mumbling about how insane I am under his breath, as he packed up all of his stuff.
“He’s always this nice?” I ask when he was gone.
“Yes, and we tend to drive him insane,” Ezra says with a chuckle.
“Captain sent you some clean clothes and she orders you to take a shower,” Mateo says, limping into the
room.

“You look like you need the nurse,” I say, looking at him.
“That jerk hates me, I’m good waiting it off,” he says and walks back
out.
“Is there no one left in the pack?” I ask, still worried about my family.
“Others were sent, we got the night off,” Ezra says with a sigh of relief.
“I’m gonna shower and sleep,” I say, feeling exhausted, he just nods and leaves the room.
After my shower, I got dressed in the clean clothes and checked the door, it wasn’t locked, the door was open for me to walk out, the Captain really trust me, which made me smile.
I trust the Captain, I believe in her, but hearing Ronan saying he’s my father, that I don’t trust or believe, I waited for Mia to come out and tell me it’s not true, she was there, a child but she was there, she’ll know that I’m my father’s daughter, our father’s daughter.
“Please, tell me he’s lying,” I begged her.
“I…I’m not sure, Noelle,” she says, sounding unsure.
“Then be sure, make some calls,” I say sounding hysterical.
“I’ll do that Noelle, but I don’t trust anyone back there,” Mia says, she’s right they all could be lying for him.
“Girls, let’s meet up in my office,” Captain Brooklyn orders all. US, and we meet back there with my sister mate, and they called someone called Hydra on the phone.
“Who’s Hydra?” I ask, someone from my old pack?

“I have a lawyer?” I didn’t know I needed one.
“I am, Miss Noelle, I’m part of the Snow pack, although we haven’t crossed ways yet, but I’m on your side,” Hydra says through the phone.
“So what’s this meeting for?” I ask, it all looked too serious now.
“The accusation he just made is serious, it can affect your case,” Brooklyn says.
“He’s a liar, we don’t have to tell anyone what he said,” I say, protecting myself.
“He’s gonna stand up in front of a judge and he’ll say those exact words,” Brooklyn says.
“But he’s a liar, no one is supposed to believe him,” I say again, sounding desperate.
“The judge will look through it, and if it’s true, things are going to get ugly,” Hydra says.
“Why!” I exclaim.
“Because that’ll make you his daughter and future alpha, the war now got a meaning behind it, and you killing one of your own pack mates makes it worse,” Hydra says.
