Mia POV
He opened his eyes finally, he looked at me and I gasped with happiness, he’s alive, he didn’t die, Rex didn’t steal him away from me, from my happiness, I jumped up and hugged him tight.
“Mia,” he whispers having hard time talking.
“Levent, I’m right here,” I assure him, I’m right here, I won’t leave him,
not ever.
“Victoria… Victoria,” he says in a gasping voice, he’s calling to his dead mate, I pulled back, I’m doing something wrong here, he doesn’t want me, he wants his old mate and not me.
When I tried to pull back, he held me again, he wouldn’t let go, although he’s very weak and tired, he still held me, I looked at him confused, does he think I’m Victoria?
“I’m Mia, Levent, I’m not Victoria,” I say in a sad voice.
“I–know…she said it’s okay…she sent me back to you,” he says in the same low voice.
“What do you mean?” I say, confused, sent him back? Was he dreaming of her?
“I mean, I saw her, she said I’m not allowed to die yet…I had to go back to you, Mia, we got her blessing,” he says with a smile on his face, so we could be together, so we are going to be together.
I hugged Levent again filled with happiness, I can’t believe he came to

save me, and then he took a bullet for me, and now we’re going to be together.
“I think I love you,” I say holding him tight making him chuckle at me, he’s laughing, and he’s not dead.
“I think I love you too Mia,” he says hugging me back, the doctor came in and asked me to stand on the side so he could check on his heart, they had to do a surgical intervention to help mend up his heart. The doctor took his time checking on him, and finally gave the okay and told him that he shouldn’t shift into his wolf form for at least a week to give his heart enough time to completely heal up.
He left the room and gave us a chance to cuddle, I can’t believe how generous the goddess was and she gave me a second chance, right after I got rid of Rex, and was free finally.
“Are you okay? Do you need the doctor to check on you?” Levent asks

“I’m fine,” I assure him.
“I saw what you did to Rex,” he says making my cheeks turn bloody red, is he mad at me? Is he going to leave me now?
“Are you mad?” I ask him.
“Mad? Baby, I’m so proud of you,” he says hugging me tighter, making me smile, it didn’t feel forced anymore, it felt like a real smile, like I have gained my ability to laugh and smile again now that Rex is gone.
We stayed in the hospital for the rest of the day, the doctor refused to allow either of us to leave, alpha Mariano had the doctor check on me against my will and he said I better stay in so he could keep an eye on me as well.

members decided to come over and drive us home, there was a mix of people, my little sister Noelle, Mariano the alpha and his mate Nutmeg, the beta, Levent’s sister and parents, along with two other people I didn’t recognize.
“Flower,” Levent says when he saw them, and stood up right away and wen to hug a really short girl, she hugged him back tight, but I didn’t recognize her.
“I thought you were planning on dying on me, Wolf,” she says back to him.
“Die? And leave you here alone? Nah, never,” Levent assures her.
“Good, because if you did, I planned on getting an Ouija board and trapping your soul back in here,” she says with an evil smile, who the hell is she?
“Flower, meet Mia. Mia this is Flower, my step–daughter,” he says, so this is Victoria’s daughter, is she going to hate me for taking her mother’s mate?
