“We gotta tell Noelle,” she says but then she shook her head at her own idea, maybe it’s better to keep the young girl out of it.
“I don’t know if it’s the best option, maybe not tell her and she’s staying in the pack land, she’s safe,” I say, Noelle doesn’t have friends outside of the pack land and we prefer to keep her inside and keep her safe.
“But she knows about him, she knew it’s bad and that’s why I came back, she hates him so much,” she says.
“Hate him? I despise him as well, but I’m a grown wolf, she’s only a teenager,” I say, she might be use to only being there with her sister, but they got us, they got me now.
“I know, but she’ll get hurt if she finds out,” she says.
“Mia, I know you love her, she’s your sister and friend, but she’s only a child, and I’m sure you want to keep her safe, and keeping her safe includes not telling her,” I say to her, trying to talk her into keeping it a
secret.
“Okay, we won’t tell her, but when she finds out, we’ll tell her it’s your idea and she’ll take off her anger on you and not me,” she says making me smile, if I could take Flower months of bullying, I don’t mind Noelle, what’s the worse she could do? Flower has me well trained for those hard days.
“That won’t be a problem,” I say and she relaxed finally.

“I don’t want to be a burden for you guys,” she says feeling sorry over the whole pack getting on lockdown.
“You’re part of the pack now Mia, we’ll do anything to keep you safe,” Beta assures her and I nod, if the pack won’t do everything to keep her safe, I will do anything to keep them both safe.
“I vill,” I assure her out loud, she held my hand again, making my heart beat a little faster.
“Levent, a word please,” Beta says calling me outside the room, I followed her outside to talk to her.
“Yes, Beta?” I say once we’re all alone.
“What’s going on between you two?” she asks me.
“What do you mean?” I ask her, confused, we’re friends, that’s all.
“I mean holding hand, ‘I will‘,” she says, copying my deeper voice than hers.
“We’re just friends,” I assure hér.
“Friends, don’t hold hands Levent, friends, don’t go out of their way to get a job and then give their whole payment for the other friend, something is going on here Levent and I demand to know what’s going on,” she says.

“Goddess have mercy on us,” the beta says in a low voice just looking
at me.
“What’s wrong, Emmalynn?” I ask her confused.
“Nothing, nothing is wrong, I’m happy she has a friend on her side now,” she says but I didn’t believe her, she was hiding something from me, she wasn’t being completly honest with me, so I stayed quiet and I just nod, whatever she’s hiding, she can’t keep hiding forever.
“So who’s going to take care of their protection?” I ask her.
“All of us, of course, now come on, the alpha wanna see us,” she says, dragging me along with her downstairs to where the alpha was there along with the patrol and some other of the strongest worriers in the pack.
“Levent, take a seat,” he orders me, and I obeyed him right away, I noticed that Mariano was back along with his spice mate.
“Our target is named Rex, he’s thirty–nine years old in human years, he was changed into wolf two years ago, he has no pack and never belonged to one, his human side was too strong and we believe it’s the human side that’s guiding him,” Mariano says.
