Lotus POV
“Hey, who’s the pretty one?” one of the pack that I didn’t recognise asks.
“This is Lieutenant Levent Savage’s stepdaughter, this is her first time spending time with us, everyone better stay polite and nice to her, don’t try messing with her, we all know Levent won’t take it too well,” Mariano says, introducing me loudly.
“Who invited the omega?” someone else yells at us.
“I did, do you have a problem with that,” Mariano asks, and I could see that Rosie’s smile has fallen, we’ve hardly been here for five minutes and people are acting weird around her.
“None from me alpha,” the same guy says but we all could tell he had a lot of problems with Rosie being here.
“Then go ahead and have fun,” Mariano order us, being ordered to have fun is weird, but who cares, we’re here now.
“Come on Rosie,” I say holding her hand, I felt response for my friend, we have promised her to stay with her, now since each of us had a beer down and another in hand, the emotions are starting to relax and we’re starting to enjoy our time again.
“Food?” Theo asks and we all nod, we moved closer to the fire and we got hotdogs going, and marshmallows.
“Shouldn’t the marshmallows be dessert?” someone I didn’t know asks

“It’s a party, and mom isn’t here,” I say, chuckling.
“Cheers to that,” he says taking a drink from his cup and starting to grill his own sweet treat.
“You like it here with us?” he asks me next, as we finally got our salty dish.
“It’s okay so far,” I answer him.
“You’re still in school? Or what are you doing?” he asks me.
“School, still,” I answer him, I was only halfway through my sandwich while he was done and starting on his next one.
“Can all wolves eat that much?” I ask him, remembering that even Levent would put a lot of food on mine and mom’s plate.
“Yeah, we love our food,” he answers me with a chuckle.
“I’m so full,” I say, hardly able to finish my food.
“Girl, you should eat some more, you still got time to get taller,” he says and I glared at him, which only made him laugh.
“Not funny,” I warn him.
“Very funny,” he says, I was looking for Rosie, but she’s busy eating with Theo, she had a smile on her face, which made me feel good at least.
“You wanna dance?” the guy sitting next to me asks me.

“I don’t even know who you are.” I answer him.
“Michael. I’m a snow like you,” he assures me.
“Nice meeting you,” I say with a smile which only made him chuckle.
“About dancing?” he repeats.
“Fine. let’s go.” I say getting up, and dancing with him, it wasn’t just us, some have decided to join as well, dancing with a wolf whose twice my length wasn’t so bad, he’d bend down to shake with me, and he even gave me a couple spins in the air making me giggle.
“You’re good at this funsize,” he says, which should have been humiliating, but instead I found it funny and I just laughed.
I noticed that the four musketeers have taken Rosie dancing too, they made a small circle around her, hiding her from everybody else while they danced together.
“Heads up, we’ve got company,” someone yells and I stop dancing. I turn to my friend and see that they too have stopped, I thank Michael for the dance and go to sit with them.
“What’s going on?” I ask them.
“Other packs have joined us,” Derreck says with a groan.
“We gotta keep distance, but you can mingle if you want,” Rosie says.
“Why do you have to keep a distance?” I ask her, she goes to school with some of these students, she see them in her daily life, why are they worried now?
“They like to mess with the omega, hence why every pack keep their

omegas hidden.” Ben answers me.
“Then hide her well,” I tell the four guys with a chuckle, we spent time. together, all of us, Nutmeg and Mariano, as expected, have
disappeared together.
“So tell me more about the other wolves,” I say to my small gang.
“You see those guys who are standing together, they come from the military school, they aren’t a pack outside the walls of this compound but they are close as one around here,” Derreck explains.
“Are they like worried someone might attack them?” I ask.
“No, they are worried that they might attack someone, they are still wolves under training, and they worry they might hurt someone, so they keep close ranks.” Theo explains to me.
“Are those your siblings?” Ben asks Rosie.
“They are, we haven’t seen them and they haven’t seen us, keep it that way.” Rosie warns them, but since all of us have been looking at that group we have won their attention, and two boy who clearly are twins were walking toward us.
“Rose, what are you doing here baby girl,” one of them asks, getting down on his knees getting on the same eye sight as Rosi
“I’m out with my friends.” she answers him.
“Is it safe for you to be out here, we can take you home,” the other one says, sounding worried.
“She’s with us,” the guys say with so much intensity feeling offended

that her brother might suggest that she isn’t safe with them around.
“Come on Rose, you shouldn’t be out here,” the first brother says.
“I’m staying Oscar, Mariano is around here, he gave me permission,” she says with a big pout, and I frantically start to look for Mariano, we need his help.
“Mariano,” I say to the closest guy to me, who happens to be Theo, we took off running, searching for Mariano.
“Where did he go?” I ask worried. I don’t want Rosie to be dragged back home, we’re having so much fun together.
“Probably somewhere kissing.” Theo says, we looked behind the trees where the party of wolves was lighter, and we found them there, kissing of course.
“Mariano we need your help.” we yell when we saw them.
“What’s going on?” he asks worried.
“The twins are trying to take Rosie home.” Theo says, and all of us went running back to where we have left them.
“Oscar, Oliver, can I help you?” Mariano asks them.

“Our sister, we’re taking her back home,” one of the twins says.
“You can’t boys, she’s here with us, and she’s staying.” Mariano scold them
“Alpha…you know what she is,” a twin growls.
“Alpha, remember that. I’m your alpha and my word goes, go back to
your pack, she’s under my protection,” Mariano growls, they wanted to object and tell him not to, but the look he gave them told them not to try and object.
“Fine,” one of them says and goes away angrily, while the other twin gave Rosie a hug and kissed the top of her head, telling her to stay safe before he left to join his own pack.
“Is that normal?” I ask once they were out of earshot.
“They are her siblings of course they want to keep her safe,” Theo says.
“But she’s with us, we can keep her safe,” Ben objects.
“Enough of that guys, go back to having fun, keep the circle tight.” Mariano order us, and we did that, he stayed with us, and all of us stayed near each other, dancing, eating and laughing.
“Are you okay? Lotus?” Nutmeg asks me, she was quiet all of a sudden which was weird for her.
“I have this mad itch on my shoulder, help,” I ask her. pointing to my shoulder that’s itching like crazy.
Nutmeg scratched it for me, but I could still feel the itch and it was driving me insane, I tried to ignore it and go back to dancing, us in our little bubble, no one could get to us, and we didn’t care about the outside world.
But then I heard it, the sound of howling, it made me freeze in my place, my whole face went pale with fear, I turned to Nutmeg, who first noticed my fear, her eyes were scanning for any danger around us.
“What’s going on?” she asks me.

“Wolves, I want to leave,” I say, my voice trembling. I was unable to hide my fear.
“Guys, they’re drunk shifting, maybe it’s better if we leave.” Nutmeg says, and Rosie nods, agreeing with us, we all wanted to leave
“Let’s go, before your brothers do something crazy.” Theo says, holding Rosic extra tight as we move away, back to the building we came from.
“Where you going the party have just started.” A high voice yell after us, I turned back to see Clair, why does she have to be in the middle of everything we do, and everywhere we go.
“Go back to your people Clair.” Derreck yells at her.
“Oh nooo…I don’t want to, I want to go where the omega and her friend are going.” she says, eying me and Rosie.
“You’re drunk, go back to your pack.” Mariano yells at her.
“I don’t have a pack we don’t have an alpha here.” she says her words. were messed up, but we could understand her
“Leave us be.” Nutmeg says having enough of her, starting to walk off with the rest of us, but Clair didn’t get the hint, she tried to attack, her goal was Rosic, who yelled two very clear names when she was scared.
“Oscar! Oliver!” Rosie yelled the names of her siblings, who jumped out of the middle of nowhere one of them was in his wolf form. looking terrifying as if he just came out of hell.
There fight was with Clair, and so Mariano had us moving quickly, getting away from them who were ready to tear each other into pieces.

“Shouldn’t you stop them?” I ask Mariano from the safety of our
elevator, my face was paler than I expected to be, my whole body trembling with fear.
“They’re not with me,” Mariano shrugs.
“But Oscar and Oliver,” I say, they are snow like him.
“Are old enough to take care of themselves, and they have their own friends with them.” Mariano assures me.
“Are they going to kill her?” I ask.
“No, they’ll have a fight, it’ll be the light of the party,” Mariano says with a shrug.
“Does it happen often?” I ask them next.
“Only if I’m around, my brothers were right, I shouldn’t have gone there.” Rosie says, wiping away the tears from her eyes.
“Don’t cry Rosie, it’s their job to keep you safe, and you have every right to be out like the rest of us.” Mariano says, petting her back, giving her some kind of comfort.
“Do you wanna stay over Rosie?” Nutmeg asks her.
“No, I’m calling mom, or maybe when the twins are done they can take me home,” Rosie says still crying, my heart broke into a million piece for her, all the confidence she gained earlier is gone now.
“I’m going home, I think I had an allergic reaction to something, I have this killer itch,” I say, scratching the back of my shoulder again.
“Take a shower that should help,” Nutmeg says and I nod, they got off

first and continued up to my floor, I opened the door and walked in, telling mom all about this crazy party out loud.
“You took the omega to the party?” Levent asks, since he and my mom are inseparable now, he too heard all of my rant.
“Mariano said it’s fine and she has every right to have fun and enjoy her time too,” I say angrily.
“I didn’t say she can’t have fun, but we’re not on pack land, so it’s bold that’s all, good thing her siblings were there, they are strong wolves.” Levent says approvingly, but I didn’t care and kept on moving.
“What’s wrong with your back?” Mom calls after me.
“I don’t know, maybe something have bit me or something, I’ll go check in the bathroom, I need a shower,” I say, walking to my bathroom, taking off my clothes and turning to see my nightmare getting to a brand new level of horror.
