“Sorry…sorry, how about I shut up and buy you another drink?” he asks and I just nod, that sounds like the best option..
“That’s a good plan,” I say and he got me one, and I drowned it right away asking for another one yet again, I wish we could get drunk, that would be really nice right now.
“So tomorrow, are you going to show them hell?” Emmalynn says joining us in the only bar in the pack territory and the only hanging place we got.
“You too?” I say with a groan.
“Apparently, he doesn’t like how we were trained,” Thomas says.
“It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s the fact that I don’t know how to train them and the alpha is forcing me to do it,” I say with another whine, I sounded like a young girl who’s having troubles with her first boyfriend.
“Levent, brother, you spent most of your life inside the institution, I know you know how to train some teenagers,” she says but I just gave her a blank look.
“Make them run obstacles, teach them some one on one combat, make them run and train until they pass out and then make them do it all over again until they build some strength,” she says giving me some suggestions on what I’m supposed to do.
“Fine, fine, can we skip that and go back to drinking?” I ask them.
“Yes, of course, I’ll take a dirty margarita,” she says to the bartender.

We spent the rest of the night just talking about our old days back when we were young, and mostly grilling Thomas, he used to be a trouble maker when we were youngsters, he’s the one who’d put hair removal cream inside people’s shampoo bottles, he shaved a girl’s tail once after she passed out as revenge for her cutting his whiskers off while he as in wolf form. He’s also the lead of all of our adventures, from our first drink, to trying drugs, to getting our arses chased by other pack patrol for coming into their land without permission.
“Does she know? Why didn’t you bring her in with you,” Emmalynn says laughing her heart out, I know she lost her mate but she has found again the power of laughter and being happy in general.
“Why? Because I knew you are here and you know everything about me.” he says laughing still, so he wasn’t very proud of his old days and his old adventures.
“We should tell her you have a shaving kink, since back in the academy, you’d shave everyone’s hair for revenge,” Emmalynn says, although she wasn’t in the same class as ours, being five years older than us, but she knew all about our adventures.
“Guys, I’m going home before she orders a kill on my head,” Thomas says, standing up, he’s drunk on laughter.
“Whom?” Emmalynn asks confused about the person he’s speaking about.
“My mate, do you think a normal person could tame me? I’m mated to a one hell of a mafia leader,” he says making everyone laugh, and making my smile just get the tiniest bit deeper.
“Beta, what kind of trouble is his son going to be?” I ask her.
“He’s going to be a young Thomas who has a mafia leader mother, so good luck, Levent,” she says petting my back.

I ordered one last drink before leaving, I needed the extra drink to be able to get over this news, and the fact that I’m going to need to train that kid tomorrow along with Noelle and some others that I have no idea about their background.
When we made it to the alpha’s home, all of us crashed without a second thought, we were buzzed and happy, no need for nightmares, no need for bad dreams. But mine were different, my dreams were empty, I saw nothing inside of them, I saw myself sitting there waiting for her, waiting for her to show up, in my dreams I cried again, I haven’t cried since I came here and it’s the longest I have managed to do since the day she died.
“Victoriaaaaa!” I yelled in the dream, wanting her to visit me one more time, she can’t just leave me like this, I know she said she’s going to leave, she’s not going to appear in my dreams anymore, but I couldn’t believe that, I need her so badly, if I can’t have her in real life, I just want to have her in my dreams.
