I ended up taking a nap, hugging one of her sweaters, I was sure that I’m going to dream of her, but again, I was in the dream world and she wasn’t there with me, I couldn’t wait for her, I screamed for her, I yelled wanting her back, but I was alone in the dream. I woke up crying, I was sobbing, I hugged the sweater tighter, why isn’t she here.
I stayed hidden inside the house for three whole days, I didn’t even visit her grave during those days, and that raised the beta’s concern for me, she came into my home to check on me.
“Levent! I’m coming in! You better be decent,” she yells at the door, I don’t remember giving her the key to my house, but she walked right
- in.
“Why are you here?” I ask out loud confused to what she’s doing here inside of my home.
“I’m here to check on you, you haven’t been out of the house for the last three days,” she says.
“So? I like my home, I got food and water, no need to go out,” I answer her with a shrug.
“You’ve spent the last four years walking toward your mate’s grave, and for the last three days you refused to get out, I’m worried about you,” she says honestly.
“I’m fine, Emmalynn, you don’t need to worry about me,” I assure her.
“I have every right to worry about you,” she replies.
“I’m not the first wolf who loses his mate,” I say with a shrug.

“But you are the first to act like this,” she says pointing at me.
“What do you mean?” I ask confused, what does she mean like this, I’m just me.
“I mean any wolf who looses their mate, they’d be in their wolf form for months and most commonly years at an end, but you’re in your human form,” she says.
“So what? I had to shift back to my human form to be there for her daughter,” I say honestly, it’s just for her daughter, it’s for what’s left from her.
“I know you were there for her daughter, but the daughter is done, she’s moving in with her mate now and you don’t have to worry about her again, what we need to worry about is you,” she says pointing at

“What’s there to be worried about?” I repeat.
“You! For Godess sake Levent! Shift back, let your wolf finish his mourning,” she says.
“I’ve been mourning the whole time, I don’t need the wolf to help me,” I say with a shrug.
“Something happened since she left and it’s not just her leaving, you knew she was going,” she says being able to read me so easily, without asking any details or spending more than ten minutes with me.
“Nothing happened,” I assure her trying to lie to my beta, but it’s hard, she could read me so easily.
“Liar, talk,” she says.
“I don’t want to,” I say with a shrug, I got the right to not tell her.

“Then I’ll call the alpha and I don’t mean Mariano, I’ll call the alpha,” she says meaning his father, my alpha.
“Why would you do that?” I ask her with a groan.
“Because you need to tell me what’s wrong,” she argues, it’s worse than Flower and her love for arguing.
“Emmalynn, please, I’m just sad that Flower left the house,” I lied, I was happy for her, and glad she’s gone back to the pack house.
“Talk,” she order me and I groaned.
“Why?” I ask her.
“So I’d help you,” she beggs me.
“She’s gone,” I finally confess.
“Gone?” she asks me.
“I’m not seeing her in my dreams anymore, she’s done, she left me,” I say a few tears going down my damn face again.
“Yes, she’s done and so should you, you’re done holding back, you need to let it all go,” she says starting a whole ass lecture about my depression and my mourning.
