Homework.
Lotus POV
Turns out having a friend isn’t that bad, instead, it’s awesome. I did have a couple human friends back in the human city, but I was never friend with the popular kids, not that I’m any popular right now butt spending time with Nutmeg and her alpha boyfriend, which she decided to only refer to as Fluff ball with sharp teeth, in front of our new found friend group, I swear we’re a small gang now, one of them was in my class, which meant that Nutmeg doesn’t have to skip her class to be in mine anymore.
“Did Mariano get in troubles for…you know,” I say, meaning when he held Clair by the neck, and was ready to suffocate her to death
“With the school? No he got every right to defend me.” Nutmeg SIMS.
“And what about with the rest of the pack, the other alpha“”” I ask trying to mean the alpha who’s now in charge and not Mariano who’s the young alpha and the next one to be in charge.
“You mean the alpha in charge, his father?” Rosic, my new foundi friend, who’s the pack omega, which means that she’s the least one l should be afraid or worried about since she’s a wolf.
“Yeah, that one.” I say.
“He got to run patrol, like a lot of patrol as punishment, but he doesn’t care,” Nutmeg says with a shrug.
Homework
“I hate patrols.” Rosie groans.
“You don’t run them,” Nutmeg says, glaring at her.
“I know, but they have to check on me every time they come and go, it’s annoying. I swear.” Rosic whines, making us chuckle, she’s cute.
I swear Rosie is just as short as me, since she’s the runt of her litter, it means she’s the weakest wolf out of the triplet, although she tries to be scary, she’s just cute, and I feel very safe around them two. Rosie and Nutmeg didn’t use to be good friends until I came in the middle, since Rosie goes to my classes and I’m under the protection of alpha Mariano, it was best for her to stay near me, so we’d both be safe, and I introduced her to the spicy Nutmeg who took her under her wing and started a fight with another dominant wolf to keep Rosie safe, but thankfully another wolf was quick to get in the middle and ended the fight before it could start.
“Did you get in trouble with Mariano for standing up for me? Because I swear he gave me that look.” Rosie says, she has the fear of Mariano’s look, she says it’s one that means die omega, but both he and Nutmeg say that the look means nothing.
“I got in troubles, again, but who’s counting?” Nutmeg says with a shrug.
“I’m sorry Nutmeg.” Rosie says, and that’s why they aren’t friends on their own. Nutmeg would fight first and think later, while Rosie would apologise a million time for breathing your way.
“Girls, come on,” I say with a shrug, if they start, this would take over an hour to end, and we had a homework to do.
“Tell her to stop apologizing to me.” Nutmeg objects.
Homework
“Rosie, we agree that she’s a bitch, don’t say sorry to her,” I say to Rosie which only made her smile, she just needs a push to stop being so nice to Nutmeg and scared of everyone else.
“Okay.” Rosie says with a sigh, stopping the argument.
“So what are we writing about?” Nutmeg asks with a groan, she hates english, Mariano was right, she manages to fail in her native language. hence why she’s taking the english class with me and Rosie now,
“Mr Owen said to write about anything we want,” I say with a shrug, he’s teaching us on how to write a full essay using all the correct verbs, punctuation, and it’s practice for when we start applying for college.
“He also said to write about something that we care about, so what are we doing?” Rosie asks.
“What do you care about?” I ask Rosie.
“Staying alive. I have two older siblings who thinks killing me is gonna be fun.” Rosie says.
“I’m an only child and so is she,” I say pointing to Nutmeg.
“I heard your mother wants to get preggy again,” Nutmeg whispers to me in a teasing voice.
“Shut up Nutmeg, see Rosie, that’s how you deal with her,” I say while pushing miss love to mess with you, which only made her laugh.
“Jealous already, come on it’ll be cute,” Nutmeg says still teasing.
“I’m gonna feed you to the wolves,” I warn her.
“Oh, I’d love for Mariano to ea…” she says but both me and Rosie were
quick to shut her up. placing our hands over her mouth to keep her quiet
“It’s not how you deal with Nutmeg. Lotus, you should just ignore her.” Rosic scold me, copying me earlier.
“Grrr, stop bullying me, let’s agree on writing something.” Nutmeg says, feeling bad for her, we both gave her a hug, not wanting her to feel bullied, just friendly teasing
“We’re sorry Meggy.” Roste says copying Mariano’s nickname to her
“Yeah, we really are this time.” I agree with Roste
“It’s okay,” she says with a pout, but then she moved back to being her cheery self
“So what are we going to write about Nutmeg asks with another groan, we’re all thinking of it but we didn’t come up with any ideas so
“I have an idea. ” I say all of the sudden, I have thought of something that all three of us have been through
“Finally, what is it” Nutmeg asks
“He said to write about something we’ve experienced or passionate about, or you know. “I start most of the students are writing about being a wolf and being mated, but since that work for our group. thought of something else
“Yeah, we know so what do you wanna write about?” Nutmeg asks “Bullying I say, all three of us have been through it, and we hate it
quick to shut her up, placing our hands over her mouth to keep her quiet.
“It’s not how you deal with Nutmeg, Lotus, you should just ignore her,” Rosie scold me, copying me earlier.
“GIT, stop bullying me, let’s agree on writing something.” Nutmeg says, feeling bad for her, we both gave her a hug, not wanting her to feel bullied, just friendly teasing.
“We’re sorry Meggy,” Rosie says copying Mariano’s nickname to her.
“Yeah, we really are this time,” I agree with Rosie.
“It’s okay,” she says with a pout, but then she moved back to being her cheery self.
“So what are we going to write about?” Nutmeg asks with another groan, we’re all thinking of it but we didn’t come up with any ideas so far.
“I have an idea,” I say all of the sudden, I have thought of something that all three of us have been through.
“Finally, what is it?” Nutmeg asks.
“He said to write about something we’ve experienced or passionate about, or you know…” I start, most of the students are writing about being a wolf and being mated, but since that work for our group, I thought of something else.
“Yeah, we know so what do you wanna write about?” Nutmeg asks. “Bullying!” I say, all three of us have been through it, and we hate it,
and we’re very passionate about it.
“I hate bullying,” Rosic whines.
“We all do, so we’d just write about how bad it is, how it affects the persons and how it affects their future, and how we’re getting over it and applying for university.” I say with a smile on my face.
“Agree, but also I have a request, if the article turned out to be good and Mr Owen approves, I want the article so I can use in my colleges application.” Nutmeg asks and I shared a look with Rosie.
“You know it’s gonna be her only chance to get into any kind of college,” I tell her.
“She’s really bad at english, we either give it to her, or Mariano gonna end up writing her applications,” Rosie says.
“At least if we force her to help, it’ll be something she wrote and if asked about she’ll know how to answer,” I say, agreeing with Rosie.
“You got a deal Nutmeg, now let’s start,” Rosie says.
We first started our research by learning that being bullied affect you mentally, making you feel unaccepted, isolated, angry, and withdrawn. Next we moved to the academic aspect, and the studies showed that test scores, I stand bullied people have lower GPA and standardized witness to that, being locked in a bathroom make it harder to attend classes and doing well in exams.
“Girls, bullying negatively impacts subjective well–being between ages 16 and 62 and raises the probability of mortality before age 55, I’m gonna die in less than forty years,” Rosie says tears starting to gather in her eyes.
“Rose, you’re a wolf, you’ll live for at least another two hundred years,” Nutmeg assures her, petting her shoulder.
“Okay,” Rosie says with a sigh.
“We should add the fact that being bullied affects wolves too, and not just the humans,” Nutmeg says.
“Maybe add a small segment about Omegas and how we’re treated.” Rosie says.
“I thought everyone had to keep you safe.” I comment.
“My pack have to, but the others like to mess with me,” Rosie says.
“I’ll search it up.” Nutmeg says.
“We have most information, we can start writing, adding our personal experiences,” I suggest, but keeping it all in neutral in pronounces so Nutmeg can use later, it took the three of us two hours to finish the whole article, and make sure to check the grammar of the articles
twice.
“All done!” Nutmeg says, dancing in her seat.
“Yes,” I say happily.
“Can I stay here, longer,” Rosie asks, not wanting to leave my house.
“Of course you can Rosie, I swear mom likes you more than she does me,” I say, making her blush, she loves mom’s attention.
“I’m not leaving either, Mariano gave me five hours to finish the article, so I’m free for the next thee hours,” Nutmeg say with a giant smile.
“Movie? I’ll get snacks,” I say and they both nods, I went into the kitchen made us popcorn, and got some drinks.
We searched for a good movie to watch but couldn’t agree on one, so we went with a Disney movie, we can’t fight over that movie, after we picked one, we took seat next to each other and sat down to enjoy our movie.
Three hours later, a few tears shed, a couple small fights, the night was over and the girls went home, I had dinner with my mom and the wolf. we had small talks during dinner, most days I stay quiet and don’t answer or interfere with them.
“So what were you girls doing?” Levent asks.
“Homework,” I say with a shrug, what else does he think we’ve been doing.
“They wrote a whole article about bullying, they’re practicing for college,” Mom says happily.
“But you know the applications can’t be team work right?” Levent says.
“Of course, but since it’s the first one we write, and Nutmeg needs help, we did it as group.” I answer him.
“Do you want to go to college?” Levent asks me.
“And what does that have to do with you?” I ask him.
“I’ll be more than happy to write you a recommendation letter to my old uni, and I’ll be your number one financial supporter.” Levent says.
“What?” I say, confused.
“A letter from alumnus is always a good thing with the universities, and I’m paying of course,” he says.
“I don’t want you to pay anything for me,” I say, feeling offended.
“We’ll talk about it when the time comes.” Levent says with a shrug.
I went to sleep, and ignored him, the next day, Mariano offered to drive all three of us girls to school, and we took the offer, I offered to get to the library and print our article since Mr Owen likes to have actual papers in his hands and not just a soft copy.
I finished printing it and was putting it away when she walked in, the bitch of hell, Clair, she walked in and went right toward me, I groaned and waited for it to start, she’s here to either bully me or be a bitch about something else.
“You’re in Mr Owen class,” she declared, or maybe ask, but she already knew the answer, but since she looked like she was waiting for an answer, I decided to give her one.
“I am.” I say
“And you had the stupid article to write,” she says and I nod yes, where is that going.
“Is that it?” she asks, snatching the papers out of my hand, she counted. the pages and saw how many we had written, a smile on her face.
“That’s mine now,” she says, turning her back to me, and leaving with our homework.
“Hey! You can’t.” I say to her, retrieving back, she just stole our hard work, I will tell Mr Owen of course, but would he believe us? He sure
Hamework
as hell won’t believe that Clair the bitch with a capital B have written at whole ass article about bullying
