“I wish you checked with a doctor years ago, but I know it’s hard, and the financials were hard,” the doctor says and my heart started to beat faster.
“What’s wrong with me?” Viki asks again, she sounded terrified.
“We found a kind of mass inside of your stomach, we have no idea what it is or if it’s harmful, we’re going to schedule a surgery and have it removed,” the doctor says.
“Can’t we change her into a wolf? We’ll do it tonight,” I say, if there’s a mass in her stomach that’s going to kill her, becoming a wolf would save her right away.
“Her body is weak, and the mass might turn into something even worse while she can’t changed,” the doctor says.
“What do you mean?” I ask them.
“The mass could turn into an abomination in the stomach area, I’m sorry but I can’t clear that, once it’s removed, we’ll change her right away then, or she can wait until she’s fully recovered so she won’t be weak after changing. I know we’ve been doing this for years, but it’s not safe to do it when the body is weak, she might not make it then,‘ the doctor says bluntly.
“I can’t have a surgery now,” she objects.
“Why so?” I ask looking at her with a raised brow.
“Lotus, I don’t want her to see me like this,” she objects.

“We’ll deal with lotus, you need this surgery,” I say, I’ll find a way to send that girl away for a couple days at least.
“I don’t want her to be around,” Viki says again, she’s a mother first and she’s worried about her daughter, and I respect that, but I can’t have her putting herself in danger.
“The vacation is coming up, Damian can take her to see the pack land and we’ll have it done by then?” I say, it was my idea the first one I could think of this quickly.
“Okay,” she agrees with me.
We talked to the doctor again, she said it’s okay to wait a couple days, she said she’s going to have a lot more tests done, and she’ll be taking pain meds, and going on a special diet until then.
“Don’t you want to tell Lotus? What if something happen? She’ll want to know,” I say to my mate, I don’t want her to hide things from her daughter.
“Nothing will happen baby, I’m not leaving you behind,” she assures

“I’m not going to allow you to leave me here all alone, I can’t survive without you,” I say honestly, I couldn’t live without her.
“I know, now let’s get home before Lotus does,” she says.
“Oh sweetie, after the surgery, I’m kicking the flower out of the house for a week, I want you all to myself,” I say with a smile.
“You’re gonna have to fight her to do that,” she says chuckling, but it was forced, she was in pain, the pain killers could only relief her pain so much.

“No, I don’t want anyone to know, no one Levent,” she says making me shut up, so I can’t tell anyone, and I will respect her wishes.
“Okay, love, no one,” I say hugging her, she held tighter to me, and I held her back, she must be scared but I’m here for her.
Lotus was the usual Lotus, she must of noticed something was wrong with her mother, but Viki shot her down every time she tried to ask or talk about it, and so I did the same, acting like nothing has happened either, and that it’s all fine, nothing to see here.
“Why are you kicking us out?” Damian asks me.
“We want some time alone,” I say with a shrug.
“Then why don’t you two go on vacation,” Damian says in a cold voice, he doesn’t like the fact that Viki has been acting like that to her daughter, his mate.
“None of your business brother, it’s my home and my family,” I say ending the chat with him and going to spend some more time with my
mate.
Finally we had them leaving, and it’s juts the two of us at home, the surgery is tomorrow, and we’re praying for the goddess to be there and help her get through it, I went to the Celina temple lit up a candle and cried over there, praying for my mate.
In the last couple of days she has gotten worse, she said it’s cause of the pain killers, they were too harsh on her body and they’re making her feel very uncomfortable.
