Chapter 10
Arthur’s POV.
Principal Mortimer pulled out his phone with a warm smile.
“Arthur, I’ve sent you your little junior’s communicator profile. Be a good senior and look
after her.”
I nodded. “Sure.”
Mortimer left, and Andy practically bounced with excitement.
“Bro, hurry up and add her! I wanna see what she looks like!”
I took out my phone and opened the profile.
The username was a single letter: C.
The background? Blank white.
Andy leaned in, curious. “What’s the ‘C‘ stand for?”
I don’t know. But I was inexplicably reminded of Cara.
Strange, why this woman was always rattling around in my head, even to the point of
making my teeth vaguely itchy – yes, no man could tolerate being questioned about his sexual function by his partner.
I took a deep breath, cleared Cara’s shadow from my mind, and clicked Add, leaving a note:
Arthur.
The request was still pending.
Andy grinned. “Once she accepts you, you better forward her contact to me. I’m officially

her fanboy now.”
Lucy stood to the side, her expression was unnatural..
Just then, my private Rolls Royce slid to a stop in front of us. My personal assistant, Jack, stepped out from the driver’s seat.
Lucy immediately latched onto the moment.
The luxury vehicle glided smoothly through the city streets, wrapped in silence and soft ambient lighting. From the front, Jack spoke up respectfully through the rearview mirror.
“Alpha, where to?”
I answered curtly. “The office.”
Lucy sat beside me, her eyes fixed on my profile.
She leaned in slightly, her voice gentle but probing.
“Arthur… what was that back at the bar with Cara? Don’t tell me you’re thinking of doing
something with her just because she looks better now?”
I glanced at her lazily. My tone was careless, almost bored,
“She’s my Luna. Isn’t that what you wanted? You’re the one who gave her to me.”
Lucy stiffened, and tried to defend herself. “Arthur… Cara insisted on marrying you. I didn’t
have a choice-”
I cut her off with a single glance. “Do you actually believe that?”
Her lips parted, but no words came.
She bit her lower lip, then muttered with a flare of temper, “Fine. I left you three years ago, If you can’t forgive me, then just break up with me. Throw me away if that’ll make you feel

better
Then she turned toward the front. “Jack! Pull over!”
She reached for the door handle, ready to leave.
But I pulled her back.
She fell straight into my chest and I frowned at her:
“Lucy, you only dare act like this because you know I spoil you.”
Her red lips curved into a satisfied smile as she melted into my embrace.
“I knew it. You wouldn’t let me go. You still love me,”
I stared down at her radiant face,
“If it weren’t for what happened back then… would I really still be this soft with you?”
At the mention of “back then“, she flinched slightly and immediately lowered her eyes,
avoiding my gaze.
This made me feel a bit strange.
Quickly, she changed the subject.
“Did you and Cara… mate?”
I lowered my lashes. “If not her, then who? You?”
Third POV.
Lucy knew he hadn’t touched Cara.
She was just baiting him,
She shifted in his lap, bold and unrestrained, and straddled his hips.

Her arms wrapped around his neck. Her red lips hovered near his.
“Wanna sleep with me?”
Jack, Arthur’s seasoned driver, didn’t even flinch. He hit the privacy partition button without being asked.
In the backseat, Lucy’s scarlet slip dress rode high from her position. Her long, porcelain legs curled around Arthur’s black tailored trousers, looking sinful against the sleek fabric.
She tightened her grip, thighs pressing against his waist.
“Say it,” she whispered. “Say you want to claim me.”
One word from him, and she’d give herself to him–right here, right now.
She wanted to deprive Carla of everything.
The thought of Cara becoming Arthur’s Luna, taking her original place, made her want Cara
to die immediately.
She was sure that Arthur would never be able to resist her charms.
And she couldn’t wait to shove those pictures–her and Arthur tangled up in the
backseat–right in Cara’s face.
Author’s Words: What really happened back then? Was the girl in Arthur’s memories really Lucy?
