Chapter 1
My Alpha mate was in a coma for three years. I took care of him every single day.
But on his first birthday after waking up, he was at a hotel… on a date with my sister, who wore a sexy black dress.
I overheard his brothers saying, “The real Luna is back. It’s time to reject the ‘nanny.‘ She’s only good for chores.”
That’s when I knew he never loved me. So I asked to end our mate bond and wrote the
reason on the public werewolf registry:
Alpha Arthur has a man problem… he still can’t fulfill his mate duties after three years.
Arthur showed up at my door, angry and embarrassed, only to see me standing under the
spotlight, dressed in a stunning gown, as people called me “Doctor.”
He said, “Come home with me!”
I said, “Alpha, are you here for a male health appointment? Please register first. Thank
you!”
My husband, who had been in a coma for three years, cheated on me after waking up.
It started with a message.
“Ouch, it hurts. I fell off my bike on the way to the bakery to make you a cake… I need kisses
and cuddles, waah~”
The text was coated in saccharine sweetness, almost childish in tone. And attached to it was
a photo–her face deliberately out of frame.
In the image, the Omega she–wolf wore black over–the–knee socks that clung tight to her thighs, paired with glossy brown heeled Mary Janes.

Her cherry blossom–pink academy–style uniform skirt was pushed up high, bunched around her hips, revealing a pair of bronzed, toned legs–long and youthful, with the soft sheen of someone who knew the power of her body.
A dark bruise marred her knee, framed by flawless skin, and her thighs were slightly parted in a calculated angle of innocence and seduction. The message and the pose weren’t just flirtatious–they were a deliberate display, a declaration of possession and desire.
At first, my mind reeled, unable to process the blatant intimacy. But then I zoomed in on
the image–and my blood froze.
There, etched on the soft skin of her inner thigh, in elegant, looping cursive… was Arthur’s
name.
My husband’s name.
Today was Arthur’s birthday–his first since waking from the coma.
I had woken up before dawn, heart full of hope and love, to make the day special. I’d bordered his favorite wine, picked up a custom cake, and even decorated the house with
silver streamers, moon–shaped balloons, and soft candlelight.
I wanted to remind him that he wasn’t alone, that even after years of silence and hospital
rooms, he still had me. Us.

But instead of celebrating with me–his wife, his bonded mate–he had left his phone behind and gone somewhere else. Somewhere this Omega could reach him.
I’d believed, foolishly, that Arthur becoming Alpha of the Silver Moon pack would make him stronger, wiser. That he wouldn’t fall prey to temptation like the other alphas. That he would resist the tug of younger, hungrier Omegas who saw him as a prize.
But he hadn’t.
My chest tightened as I stared at the phone in my hand. My vision blurred, and I realized my nails were digging into my palm..
Inside me, my wolf–Lily–was snarling and sobbing, a feral mix of anguish and fury. Her

pain echoed in mine, two heartbeats accelerating out of sync. My breathing came out shaky
as I tried to steady myself.
I couldn’t fall apart. I couldn’t be so weak.
The phone buzzed again.
Another message lit up the screen in bold pink font:
[My handsome, sexy Alpha Arthur, your loyal little she–wolf will be celebrating your birthday at the Blue Moonlight Hotel tonight. Don’t stand me up~ If you don’t come, a poor little she–wolf might just die of heartbreak, waah~]
The audacity. The cruelty.
Arthur’s birthday. My day with him. And she–his little whore–was planning to celebrate it with him behind my back.
And I?
I was here in the house I decorated, standing in a kitchen that still smelled of chocolate and cinnamon, holding a phone that shattered every illusion I had.
I grabbed my bag and keys, rage and devastation warring inside me. My vision was still hazy, but I knew one thing–I had to see her. This shameless, seductive Omega. I had to know who had dared to touch what was mine.
The drive to Blue Moonlight Hotel was a blur. The city passed by in streaks of neon and fog, but I couldn’t focus on anything but the fire burning in my gut.
When I finally arrived, I parked across the street and stood outside the towering glass structure. The hotel glittered under the moonlight, elegant and cold.
Just as I stepped forward, ready to storm inside, I froze,
Two familiar figures were at the entrance.
“Mom? Dad?”

They turned, startled. My mother quickly stepped in front of my father as if to block my view. “Cara! W–we weren’t expecting to see you here.”
I frowned, confused. “What are you two doing at the Blue Moonlight Hotel?”
They exchanged a look–a silent, practiced one that I’d seen countless times growing up.
Secrets… Excuses…
After a pause, my father cleared his throat. “Lucy… your sister. She just returned to the
pack. We brought her here.”
“Lucy?” My brows furrowed.
It had been years since I last saw my younger sister. She left the Silver Moon pack shortly
after Arthur and I bonded, supposedly to ‘find herself‘ at a private Omega finishing
academy far away.
I turned toward the hotel and stepped slightly to the side, glancing into the large glass windows that reflected the lobby’s soft golden lights.
And then I saw her.
Standing by the bar, in that exact pink açademy uniform and those thigh–high black socks,
legs crossed delicately, twirling a lock of her silvery hair around her finger, was Lucy.
My sister.
My wolf’s cry turned into a scream in my mind.
Lucy had always been the wild child, the center of attention. Back in the academy, she was the head cheerleader, the pack’s sweetheart, and scandal all in one. Her beauty wasn’t the
delicate kind–it was bold, carnal.
She knew how to wield it like a weapon.
And her legs–goddess, those legs–long, tanned, shapely, always wrapped in heels and lust.
I remembered how boys used to stumble over themselves just to carry her books.

How even the elder alphas turned their heads when she passed.
Now those very legs were wrapped around my husband.
A sick laugh bubbled up in my throat.
I turned back to my parents, eyes burning. “You all knew. Didn’t you? You knew exactly what was going on.”
My father didn’t deny it. Instead, his brow furrowed, and he crossed his arms. “Cara, you’ve been living in a dream. Arthur never really wanted you.”
The words hit like a slap.
My mother sighed. “Cara, be reasonable. Do you have any idea how many she–wolves in the pack want Arthur? He’s powerful. Desirable. Rather than see him fall into the hands of
some outsider, wouldn’t it be better to keep him within the family?”
I felt like the earth had been pulled from beneath me.
My own parents–my blood–were conspiring with my sister to steal my mate.
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, but I refused to let them fall.
“I’m your daughter,” I whispered. “I’m the one who stayed by Arthur’s side when he was unconscious. I took care of him. I waited, prayed, fed him, talked to him every night–hoping he’d hear me. I believed in the Moon Goddess’s plan. I was there when everyone else gave up.”
My mother looked away, guilt flickering for just a moment.
I swallowed hard. “Arthur and I were bonded under the Moon Goddess. We completed the sacred rites. That bond means something.”
My father scoffed. “So what? Let me ask you something, Cara. Since the ceremony… has Alpha Arthur ever mated with you?”
