Four years later, at the airport’s VIP passage, a young woman emerged.
Wearing a white sunhat that shaded her beautiful, languid eyes, she kept her head slightly lowered, revealing a delicate chin and lips rosy without lipstick.
Her white satin square–neck dress, made of an exceptionally soft and comfortable fabric, swayed gently with her every step. A lace belt adorned with pale blue gemstones cinched her waist.
The dress fell to mid–calf, showing off her luminous ankles above pearl–accented silver sandals.
Caramel–brown waves tumbled casually over her shoulders, a red diamond bracelet glinting on her wrist. With a sexy waist, straight legs, and smooth and radiant skin, her figure was graceful and striking.
She effortlessly commanded attention wherever she went. People nearby were already stealing glances at her.
Edward Hanover followed behind her, his eyes filled with warmth and affection as he watched Zina ahead. “Zina, now that we’re back home, things are different here than they were abroad. Promise me you’ll stay close to me, okay?”
Edward pushed along two suitcases with his right hand, one light blue, the other pale pink.
The pale pink suitcase was adorned with a Strawberry Bear print and encircled by sparkling pink diamonds.
Priceless as these diamonds were, they were nothing more than mere adornments to Zina. She had an inexplicable fondness for diamonds and gemstones, though she didn’t know why.
She liked it so much that it seemed like every single thing she owned ended up with a bit of sparkle.
They returned home discreetly this time.
Recently, Zina had been having frequent headaches. The doctor said it was due to her amnesia. She had forgotten everything about her past.
Even after several years, nothing had come back to her, but starting this year, the headaches began to strike from time to time.
The doctor advised that it would be best for her to return to a familiar place as soon as possible to help her regain her memory.
Otherwise, if she never remembered, the constant headaches would only continue to torment her.
If the doctor hadn’t insisted that returning to a familiar environment might help her recover her memory, Edward would never have brought her back.
When Zina was taken abroad, she had been on the brink of death. No one knew what kind of suffering she had endured back home.
Edward was torn between wanting her to remember and dreading what she might recall. He was afraid her memories might be too pain
bear.
“Got it, Edward,” Zina asked sweetly, “when is Adrian coming back?”
Zina hadn’t slept well last night. Her headache kept her awake until past midnight, leaving her drained and listless. She was like a cat that hadn’t soaked
up enough sun, all lazy and languid.
When she saw Edward pushing the suitcases out of the passage, she walked over and plopped down on one, resting her head against the handle as she looked up at him. Her beautiful, sleepy eyes shimmered with a lazy charm.
Zina never expected that, before she got lost, she had actually lived in Laystoland.
‘Laystoland? I heard there’s tons of delicious food there. This time I’m going to indulge myself to the fullest, Zina thought, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

“Adrian won’t be back for a while. Why don’t you stay with me for now? It’ll be easier for me to look after you.” With tender affection, Edward pushed Zina forward.
Edward, Quincy Hanover’s second son, was twenty–six years old.
“I want to live alone. I’ve grown up now. Adrian already promised I could do that this time,” Zina protested, her beautiful brows furrowing in frustration, unhappiness clouding her eyes.
Zina really wanted her own space. Adrian promised her.
Back at home, Adrian, her uncle, aunt, dad, and Shirin always kept her on a tight leash. Now that she was finally back, she just wanted to do anything she
wanted.
“Alright then, Zina, where would you like to live?” Seeing her displeasure, Edward gave in. Just a single frown from this girl, and Edward found himself unable to refuse her anything.
Adrian had indeed told Edward. Now that Zina was back, her happiness was all that mattered.
For four years in Yinecrest, Zina never lacked for love or luxury. Yet her family could always sense she wasn’t truly happy.
“Edward, I want to find my place to live. I’ll let you know when I do.” Upon seeing Edward agree, Zina’s eyes crinkled into crescents, sparkling with joy.
“Alright,” Edward murmured, gazing down at her radiant smile with gentle warmth. Her happiness was all that mattered.
Whenever Edward recalled how lifeless Zina had looked when he first met her four years ago, his heart ached.
It took four painstaking years of care before her health finally began to improve in the last two.
Fresh from her heart surgery, Zina spent a whole year in a vegetative state before finally waking up.
After nearly another year of rehabilitation, it was only last year that she gradually returned to normal.
“Edward, you’re so sweet. I heard there’s so much amazing food in Laystoland. Once we’re settled in, I’ll treat you to something delicious,” Zina said, playfully tugging at his sleeve with a sweet, gentle smile.
Zina gazed up at Edward. Edward had a warm complexion, clear brows, charming eyes, rosy lips, and an elegantly sculpted nose, all harmoniously
balanced.
Dressed in an off–white shirt and tailored khaki trousers, he stood with effortless grace. His doctor’s demeanor lent him a natural, calming presence that seemed to soften the air around him.
Zina truly enjoyed being with Edward, yet for some reason, whenever she looked at him, she couldn’t shake an inexplicable emptiness in her heart.
Zina possessed exquisite beauty. Her delicate features and gorgeously radiant face were like something out of a painting. When she looked up and -smiled, it could melt anyone’s heart.
Even Osborn, who had once been displeased at the sudden appearance of a daughter, now doted on her endlessly.
He even sent a constant stream of rare treasures to Zina’s side, terrified that his beloved daughter might suffer the slightest hardship whenever she was
out of his sight.
Zina insisted on returning to Laystoland alone and wouldn’t let her parents come along, much to Osborn’s displeasure.
But the moment Zina gave him those puppy eyes and pouted, his heart just melted. He was completely helpless. Whatever his darling daughter wanted, she got.
But Osborn couldn’t feel at ease letting his precious daughter return to Laystoland alone. With Adrian now shouldering the responsibilities of the Evans Group and swamped with commitments, he simply didn’t have the time.

Osborn could only ask Edward to accompany her back. For the past four years, Edward had been by Zina’s side, and their bond had grown so close that she would seldom refuse his requests.
No one quite understood why. This special trust between them even made the entire Evans family burn with jealousy.
Edward gazed at her with tender affection, his pale blue eyes mirroring her coy features. “Alright, I’ll be waiting for your treat, Zina.”
The two made their way out of the airport terminal. Outside, a prearranged chauffeur stood waiting for them, ready at the curb.
Hé promptly opened the car door, and Zina slid into the leather seat first, with Edward following close behind.
Zina had barely settled into her seat when her phone rang. “Hello, Daddy.”
