Cross made himself comfortable on my bed, much to Fallon’s dismay. I watched the two interact, intrigued.
Fallon tried to move away, which seemed to annoy Cross, who got even closer, eyes daring the smaller vampire to try something.
“Youre being a bully,” I accused and leaned on the dresser. Cross laughed and got off the bed after sending Fallon a look.
I frowned when he walked over to me. I grabbed his wrist when he tried to touch my hip. “Cross, what do you think you’re doing?” I asked softly.
Cross met my eyes and grinned, leaning down to kiss me, making my breath catch in my throat.
Before I could get to feel his lips on mine, the stupid door opened, and River cleared his throat loudly. “Cross, get the fuck out of Raven’s room,” he sounded angry, but Cross didn’t seem to mind, eyes dancing with mischief.
“Fine, whatever,” he turned, acting as if he was going to pull away from me, before he turned and pressed me into the dresser, kissing me soundly.
I gasped and grabbed his shoulders, hearing Fallon’s loud gasp and River’s exclamation of surprise.
I got a brief taste before Cross was pulled off me, River sending the vampire a dark look. “Why can’t he kiss me, River?” I asked simply, making Cross
smirk.
“Yeah River, why can’t I kiss her?” River glared at Cross before slowly looking at me.
“Because I said so,” he said simply and let go of Cross who pulled back.
I frowned and narrowed my eyes at him. “Well that’s not fair, I can kiss who I want. I could kiss Cross, I could kiss Fallon, or I could even kiss you.” My cheeks burned and I crossed my arms.
River now seemed amused, but it quickly faded and he looked at me sternly. “We’ll talk later, Cross,” River suddenly growled making Cross raise his
hands.
“Fine, hands to myself,”
River nodded and looked at Fallon as Cross winked at me, and mouthed, ‘loop holes‘
I giggled, but stifled it as River looked at me suspiciously. I glanced out the window and paused at a sudden thought. What if River is saying no because the kissing has something to do with the glass breaking?
“Cross, a word,” River said suddenly and walked out of my room. Cross grinned and glanced at me.
“Well damn, looks like I’m in trouble,”
I gazed at him steadily. “Not my problem,” even after my words, his grin only grew, making me think he had some scheme up his sleeve. Cross took his time leaving my room, and I smiled sweetly at Fallon.
“Do you want to go on a walk with me?”
It was chilly outsider, but the snow was worth it. It took a lot of effort, but I got Fallon to build a snowman with me.
I let him out rocks as buttons, while I found a good stick for the nose. “What should his name be?” I asked Fallon, using dead plants for hair.
“Sunny,” Fallon told me, causing a giggle to come from my lips. I reached over and pushed Fallon, who fell backwards for me, letting me tackle him playfully.
“Well that’s silly,” I told him and pushed my cold finger into his nose. “Sunny it is,” I decided and smiled down at Fallon.
Fallon moved forward, and I gasped as we rolled down a small hill, snow getting into my clothes. “Fallon!” I shouted, laughing as we landed into the snow at the bottom. “What was that for?”
Fallon shook his head to get snow off his hair and grinned at me. “Raven,” he said my name, causing me green eyes to sparkle. I reached down and made a snowball, throwing it at him, laughing at his face.

Chapter 40
Fallon reached down, throwing snow at me, making me gasp. I made another snow ball, throwing it before jumping up and running behind a tree
I peeked out and screamed when Fallon threw a snowball, just missing my face. I stumbled back and crawled behind a bush, reaching down to make
another ball.
Fallon reached over the bush, and I tossed the snow before rolling to the side, running behind a small patch of trees, laughing and trying to breathe
evenly.
It was silent, and I looked around the bush, to see where he was. I yelled in surprise when snow hit the back of my head. I turned and watched Fallon laugh, feeling my heart warm at the sight.
I pointed at him. “I’m going to get you for that,” I warned and jumped, knocking him over. Fallon fell into the soft snow, my hands landing beside his head.
I fisted snow and then pushed it into his face, making the small vampire gasp. I laughed and rolled off him, laying beside him in the snow. “Fallon, I’m happy I found you,”
Fallon glanced at me, smiling. “I’m happy you found me too, Raven,”
I looked at the sky and gasped in delight as it started snowing. “Fallon, look!” I pointed at the sky, and he glanced up.
“You like snow?” Fallon asked, and I sat up, him laying very still as I tossed snow into the air.
“I love snow!”
Fallon tilted his head to the side. “What does love mean?”
