Faith grabbed a book and got comfy on her bed, draping a blanket over her legs. “Raven, you’re going to get yourself killed one of these days, why are you so reckless?”
I paused and looked at my hands. “Can I tell you something, Faith?”
She closed her book and looked at me with worried eyes. “What Raven?”
I opened my mouth before I sighed and shook my head. “Never mind, I’m going outside,” I opened the window and Faith screeched dramatically.
“Out the window?! Are you crazy?!”
I looked back at her and blinked. “What’s the problem? We’re only on the second floor,”
Faith waved her hands around and stood. “Is this normal for you?! Climbing out windows?!”
I nodded and tilted my head to the side. “Sure, it’s the best way to sneak around, most people don’t expect it.”
Faith sighed and looked at me. “You’re going to get yourself killed!”
I snorted. “No I’m not, Faith,” I looked at her dryly. “I have plenty of experience doing this kind of stuff, trust me,”
Faith shook her head and went back to her book. “Okay, but seriously, be careful and come back soon, please?”
I gave her a thumbs up and made my way out the window, climbing down. With the dark sky above me, snow falling around me, and a silent forest, there were endless possibilities!
Or at least, there would have been. “Raven, is there a reason you’re out here,” the vampire glanced down at my feet. “Bare foot and alone, when you’re supposed to be inside?”
I made a sound with my lips. “Stalker,” I grumbled and looked away, annoyed. This reminded me, of the times River caught me doing something stupid.
Nicholas shook his head. “Inside, now,” he ushered me towards the front door, not letting me climb back up to my room.
As we entered the hotel, the vampire looked at me sternly. “There will be no sneaking out, understood?” When I looked at him blankly, he narrowed his eyes. “Understood?”
I sighed. “I want to go outside.”
“It’s twelve o’clock at night! Go to sleep, now is not the time to be running through the woods.” He told me and frowned and I looked around the lobby, distracted.
I couldn’t help it!
I was so incredibly awake! And without any of my vampires here to keep me under control, I wanted to run around and explore everything
I was like a little kid having sugar for the first time.
“Raven, do I need to have you sleep in a room with one of the female teachers?”
I tilted my head to the side. “Why’s a vampire teaching at our school? You’re kind of sus,”
Nicholas looked around the lobby and gazed at me with exasperated eyes. “This is not the place for that discussion,” he told me coldly
“Convenient.” I said snobbishly and reached over on a side table and grabbed a magazine. I flipped through it and made a sound when he grabbed it from my fingers
“To bed, now,” he told me sternly and went as far as to walk me to my room, crossing his arms when I hesitated in front of the door. “Problem?”
I glanced back at him. “Well, are you going to eat the students one by one, or did you bring

Chapter 25
I raised my hands. “Fine, fine,” I huffed and went into my room, closing and locking the door behind me. Faith was already asleep, and once I finally laid down and closed my eyes, I realized how tired I was, as I fell asleep right away.
“Raven Light! Get off of the support beams!” Nicholas ordered as everyone ate breakfast in the dining hall, watching in amusement.
“I don’t want”
After getting me securely on the ground, the vampire began scolding me. Of course, I wasn’t paying any attention though.
“Now, do you understand?” Nicholas asked, frowning as I pointed to the carts full of chairs.
“Do you think I could ride.”
“Do you even know what I just said to you?” Nicholas demanded.
I blinked my eyes innocently. “No, so, are we going hiking today? Or is our group going to the hot springs?”
Nicholas rubbed his brow, to ease the tension there, before giving me a steady look. “Raven, do you always cause this much trouble?”
I blushed and rubbed the back of my neck. “Yes and no, I’m just kind of hyper all the sudden, I think it’s because I’m not under any stress.”
Understanding flashed in Nicholas’s eyes, and he looked thoughtful. “Hmm,” his eyes held so much curiosity as I looked at him. “Is your home life usually stressed?”
I frowned. “Well, I live with five male vampires, it’s not normally easy. Especially since I’m stupid,” I told him and shifted on my feet. “So, why are you teaching humans?” I asked, meeting his gaze.
Nicholas smiled. “I wonder,” he mused before walking to the middle of the room, clapping. “Group 3B, follow me,” Nicholas glanced at me briefly.
“We’re going hiking.”
I cheered in delight, wanting to jump into the snow outside. An arm sudden suddenly wrapped around my shoulder and I glanced at Emma.
“You seem close to the teacher all the sudden,” she sneered.
