Chapter 96
As the car departed, Rebecca hailed a taxi without hesitation. She entered the passenger seat, gazed at the driver, and instructed, “Please fatlow the red car ahead of us, and I’ll pay you twice the fare.”
Fifteen minutes later, the taxi stopped at the entrance of a high end villa complex. Rebecca scanned the QR code to pay the fare and quickly exited the car to chase the woman’s car from behind.
When the vehicle stopped in front of a small three–story house, Rebecca hid behind a tree and noticed the woman venture outside the car. At this moment, her intuition was right. She had not identified the wrong person and if she guessed correctly, George should be living with that woman now
to appear until an hour passed and a white car ceased beside the red car. The man who walked out of the driver’s seat was none other than her ruthless father, George Gadot.

As soon as the door opened, George embraced the woman tightly as though he had missed her for years. Rebecca’s eyes gleamed in disdain as she witnessed this, clenching her fist in hatred.
Men were all animals by nature, self–centered for pleasure and slaves of their desires. How Ironic.
With that, Rebecca took her phone from her purse and turned on the camera as she walked towards the bungalow with a profound expression. She rang the doorbell for a long time until the door swung open, exposing the vexed expression of the woman.
“Who are you looking for?” The woman snarled, scrutinizing Rebecca from head to toe.
“Where’s George? Tell him to come out.” Rebecca stated sternly.
“You’re barking in the wrong tree. There’s no such person named George here. Leave before I call security to drag you out.” The woman threatened.
Hearing this, Rebecca calmly took out her phone and sneered, “I watched and photographed him entering your house. How long can your arrogance help you if this issue spreads online? Do you want to confirm?”
After saying this, Rebecca showed her phone screen, the image of George getting out of the car and knocking on the door appeared. As the woman saw this, her expression changed slightly, and she could not refute, saying, “Why are you looking for George?”
“It has nothing to do with you.” Rebecca deadpanned. She was about to speak when the man she had been looking at spoke.
“Who’s outside?” George asked as he walked downstairs with an unpleasant countenance.
Upon seeing Rebecca at the door, he scowled in contempt and bawled, “Who told you to come here? You are not welcome here, leave!”
In a fit of rage, Rebecca gnawed her teeth and exclaimed, “Where’s my mother? Tell me where she is, and I’ll leave right away.”
“Why should we tell you?” The woman chimed in, raising her brow.
“Why should I? Because I am Amelia’s daughter, I have the right to know where my mother is!” Rebecca bellowed.
“Rebecca, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. If you want to know where that old woman is. Prepare a million dollars in cash, and let’s bargain.” George mocked, his eyes tinged with contempt.
As George’s mockery hit Rebecca’s nerves. Her anger ignited as she roared, “George, you only cared about money in this world!”
“Well, that’s how business works. I’ll never do business at a loss. If you have money, you can bicker around, but if you don’t, get out of the way. Let’s not talk about it.” George spat as he pushed her and shut the door.
The impact made Rebecca fall to the ground in shame. She did not care about the pain of being tugged. Instead, she promptly rose to her feet, rang doorbell, and shouted George’s name. However, the door never opened.
A few minutes later, since Rebecca’s disruptive behavior interrupted the community’s peace, the security guards rushed over and indiscriminately dragged her out. She was blacklisted by the guards and was forced to leave first.
On her way back to Downtown New York, Rebecca casually asked the driver to seek information about the area’s mental hospitals.
“Sir, do you know mental hospitals in New York?” Rebecca asked innocently.

“Well, just a survey, Rebecca responded bluntly,
There are a dozen public and private psychiatric hospitals in New York. They are located in all directions. You have to tell me the sperate hospital, and then I can guide you there.” The driver proffered.
“I’m not going. I’m just asking casually. Thank you.” Rebecca retorted as she prepared herself to leave.
After getting cut of the car, Rebecca hurriedly went home. She searched the information of all the psychiatric hospitals in New York on her phone and marked the ones where she thought her mother would be. Since George refused to provide any information, leaving her with no choice but to rely on herself. Although she used the stupidest method, she believed perseverance would lead her to her mother.
So when the afternoon came, Rebecca didn’t waste time and went to five psychiatric hospitals. Those people were terribly ill, and the treatment was simple and crude. Some patients could not accept it, but there was no way. They were forcibly locked inside and could not leave the place.
When Rebecca thought of the torment and pain that her mother was going through, she felt like her heart was suffocated and that she could not breathe.
As night fell quickly, Rebecca decided not to go to the sixth hospital after leaving the fifth hospital, as she would be starting work at Creative Creations the next day. Instead, she took a bus back to her rental house.
Although Rebecca was in fidgets, she did not forget to stay rational and calm. Finding someone was never an overnight thing. It required patience and persistence.
At the bar, Boris invited a friend out for a drink. The drinks were served to each table of elites as the sound of the upbeat bustled.
“It seemed like the sun had come out from the west. The workaholics have time to come out and drink,” Klaus spoke.
Boris raised his head and drank the wine in his glass, responding, “I’ve been a little upset recently. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
“Do you have a difficult case at hand?” Klaus asked, swirling the tequila in his glass.
“It does have something to do with the case, but it’s s not entirely because of it.” Boris reasoned out, sighing.
Dumbfounded, Klaus raised his head and drank the glass of wine again. A bitter smile crept on his lips.
“I met a woman who spent four years in prison for others. She was pitiful, right? I sympathized with her and offered her help overturning the case, but she refused. Now she doesn’t even answer my calls.” Boris spoke again, recalling Rebecca’s refusal of his offer.
“It seems that that woman doesn’t understand our Atty. Scordia’s situation. Sooner or later, she will regret it.” Klaus remarked as he tapped Boris‘ slumped shoulder.
Boris shook his head as he heaved an audible sigh and refuted, “I don’t understand why she refused my help.”
Klaus shook his glass as he gazed at Boris and interrogated, “Boris, you don’t like that woman, right?”
As Klaus’s question rang in his ears, Boris’s heart throbbed, and his face became profound, giving no indication of whether he admitted it or not.
“Then, it seems to be true. Come on, wear your heart on your sleeves!” Klaus sneered. He raised his eyebrows excitedly and continued, “Next time we hang out, introduce her to me.”
“She’s timid, don’t scare her.” Boris blurted out.
“I am becoming more curious about the woman who captured Boris Scordia’s heart, especially since she has a criminal history. It’s quite intriguing.” Just as Klaus finished speaking, he suddenly thought of something and snapped, “Speaking of a woman with a history of being imprisoned, I also met one today.”
“What’s going on? Are there people in your company who have been in prison?” Boris asked casually.
“Yes, she came to my company and applied for a designer position. Although she had been in prison, her skills in design were exceptional. You know that I’m more into skills and capabilities than dark history. If I didn’t hire her, it would be a sin.” Klaus blabbed, whistling as he recalled his new talent.
