Chapter 65
Rebecca’s words shocked the two interviewers for a long time.
They did not expect that the gentle and pleasant looking Rebecca would actually be a woman with a criminal record.
“I’m sorry, I scared you guys.” Rebecca took the initiative to break the silence.
“I know this experience is disgraceful. It’s a stain on my entire life. It’s really stupid to say it, but I’d rather be stupid than lie.”
One of the interviewers returned to her senses, put away Rebecca’s information, and sighed with regret.
“Miss Gadot, I’m sorry, our kindergarten can’t admit you.”
“I’m applying for an office clerk, not a teacher.” Rebecca anxiously explained, wanting to work harder.
“It has nothing to do with the position you’re applying for. Even if it’s a back office cleaner, we have to strictly review your identity. Anyone with a criminal record will not be admitted. This is our kindergarten’s rule. I hope you can understand.”
There were tears in her eyes and she was speechless. “I…”
The interviewer did not have the patience to continue explaining and looked down at the other candidates‘ profiles.
“Sorry, next one.”
Rebecca walked out of the kindergarten and took the bus back to her rented house in the east of the city.
She kicked off her high heels and lay curled up on the sofa, hugging herself helplessly. There was no tears in her eyes. She wanted to cry but couldn’t.
The reality was cruel. She did not blame the interviewer, nor did she resent the kindergarten’s regulations. If she were to manage the kindergarten, she would definitely not accept candidates with a criminal record.
It was night.
If it wasn’t for her hungry stomach, Rebecca would lie on the sofa until dawn.
She simply cooked a bowl of noodles, but halfway through the meal, her phone suddenly rang.
“Hello, is this Miss Rebecca?” A female voice came over the phone.
Rebecca: “It’s me. Who are you?”
“I’m a staff member of Sophie International Kindergarten.”
Rebecca’s heart suddenly tightened, and she subconsciously held her breath and listened quietly.
Didn’t she fail the interview? Why did the kindergarten still call her?
“Miss Gadot, our kindergarten is currently short of a cleaner. If you want to do it, come to the kindergarten tomorrow morning to discuss it in detail.”
“I’ll do it.” Rebecca blurted out without hesitation, for fear of losing this opportunity.
As long as she could work in the kindergarten where Rebeccaana was studying, the cleaners would be cleaners. She did not dislike it.
After hanging up, Rebecca instantly felt like a different person. She almost jumped up and cheered with joy.
the next day.
Rebecca arrived at the kindergarten on time, and was greeted by Miss Brown who had called her last night.
“Miss Gadot, this is the situation. If you can accept it, you can officially come to the kindergarten tomorrow.”

The cleaners had no contract guarantees, no benefits, and nothing but a monthly salary of 1.000 dollars
Despite this, Rebecca decided to stay without hesitation.
“I accept.”
Miss. Brown gave a satisfactory smile and extended her hand to Rebecca, “Welcome to Sophie International Kindergarten.”
“Thank you.”
The surprise came too quickly. On her way home, Rebecca found it unbelievable and felt like she was dreaming.
She was in a good mood, so, she decided to go to the supermarket to buy some ingredients to cook. Rebecca was in the grocery section picking out her favorite ingredients, and she inadvertently looked up and saw a man in front of the fruit stand who was picking lychees. His back looked particularly
like Boris own.
Rebecca was not so sure. So, she pushed the shopping cart closer.
This time, she could see clearly that it was Boris.
“Mr. Scordia, it’s really you.”
Boris turned around, and the moment he met Rebecca’s eyes, his heart suddenly thumped several times.
The Rebecca in front of him was completely different from the one he met previously. It was as if she had changed.
She dressed up beautifully today. Her smooth hair was neatly draped over her shoulders.
He couldn’t help but want to go over and hug her…
“What a coincidence, Im meeting you again.” Rebecca walked over to Boris and was about to buy some fruit.
When Boris retracted his thoughts, he coughed embarrassingly, embarrassed by his “nonsense” just now.
“Yeah, it’s a coincidence. You bought so many vegetables?”
Rebecca smiled and said, “It’s just like eating hot pot at home. I can buy a little of all kinds.”
With that, an idea suddenly popped into her mind.
Boris had helped her more than once, and she should invite over for dinner.
“Mr. Scordia, I have a request. I hope you don’t blame me for being abrupt.”
“What’s the matter?” Boris asked with great interest.
Rebecca slightly raised her mouth and said sincerely, “If you don’t dislike it, I want to invite you over to my place for dinner. Thank you for saving me on the roadside before and sending me to the hospital, and for driving me home last time.”
“It’s been so long, you still remember?”
“I’ll never forget anyone who has truly helped me. Especially you, Mr. Scordia, I’m really grateful to you.”
Boris was a sweetheart.
A rented house in the east of the city.
The aroma of the hot pot wafted through their nostrils. Rebecca and Boris sat face to face, substituting juice for wine, and chatted while eating.
“You look very happy today.”
“Because I found a job.”
Boris touched Rebecca’s cup and felt happy for her, “Congratulations.”
“Although I’m a cleaner, I’m still very happy.” Rebecca smiled stupidly.

“There is no distinction between high and low jobs. Take your time. It will get better.”
Rebecca took a sip of the juice and calmed down a little.
“Mr. Scordia, there’s something I’ve been hiding from you for a long time. I want to tell you forlay.”
Boris had already guessed that Rebecca was a person with a story, and he had always been curious.
“All ears.”
Rebecca took a deep breath. “I was in prison for four years and I was only released in February this year.”
Boris looked at her in disbelief and forgot to speak in shock.
Rebecca pursed her lips, and her heart was tumbling. After struggling and hesitating in pain, she decided to bravely tell the truth.
“I went to prison only for someone else’s crime.”
Boris was stunned, almost unable to keep up with the speed of the plot reversal, but he could see that Rebecca was not lying.
When it came to the legal aspect, his expression became more and more serious.
“What exactly happened, please explain in detail again.”
“Four years ago…” Rebecca said carefully.
After listening to this, Boris’s face became solemn, and he put down his chopsticks and said angrily, “The Williams family is too much.
Rebecca did not know the arrogance of the Williams family, but she was helpless.
“Mr. Scordia, if I want to overturn the case and get justice for myself, what are the chances of success?”
Boriss thought for a while, “The more conclusive the evidence, the greater the chance of winning the case. In addition to physical evidence, witnesses are also needed.”
“It’s impossible for the Williams family to testify against their family in court.” Rebecca said angrily.
“There are other witnesses to look for.”
“Who?”
