Chapter 64
Chapter 64
fifteen hours later, the plane landed smoothly at New York City Airport.
Rebecca and Boris walked out of the airport together. It happened to be raining outside
“My car is in the parking lot. Wait here for a few minutes. I’ll drive and take you back to the city.” Boris said actively.
Rebecca hesitated for a moment and felt a little embarrassed. “Won’t I waste your time?”
“No delay, I’m not working today.”
The rain was getting heavier and heavier. It was inconvenient to take a taxi. After thinking about it for a while, she was no longer hypocritical. She thanked Boris and said, “Please Mr. Scordia give me a ride.”
The black Mercedes–Benz drove at a steady speed in the rain, calm and low–key,
In the car, Boris turned on the warm air and soft music. Rebecca sat in the passenger seat. The two of them chatted a few times from time to time like old friends. The atmosphere was warm and harmonious.
Half an hour later, the Mercedes–Benz stopped smoothly at the entrance of an old community in the east of the city.
Rebecca unbuckled her seat belt and prepared to get out of the car.
“Mr. Scordia, thank you for dropping me off.”
“You live here now?” Boris opened the car window and glanced at the gate of the community. His eyebrows puckered imperceptibly.
“Yes, I’m renting a house here.” Rebecca admitted generously.
She could understand the surprise in Boris‘ eyes. If he hadn’t dropped her off, he probably wouldn’t have known that there was such an old community in New York.
“The public security conditions in this community don’t seem to be ideal.” Boris was very euphemistic. He was really worried about Rebecca. “It’s not safe for you to live here as a girl, isn’t it?”
Rebecca smiled knowingly. “There are many elderly people living in this community. Most of them are from New York City. The law and order is still OK. Don’t worry, it’s not as exaggerated as you said. I can protect myself.”
Boris reluctantly looked back. “No matter what, safety comes first. If you can find a better house, I still recommend that you leave this community.”
“Well, if I see somewhere more suitable, I’ll consider moving.”
After Rebecca finished speaking, she opened the car door. Just as she stepped out, Boris suddenly shouted, “Wait a minute.”
She turned her head in confusion and saw a black folding umbrella in front of her.
“The rain hasn’t stopped yet, grab an umbrella.”
Rebecca was moved beyond words.
No one had treated her this well in a long time. Although it was just an inconspicuous umbrella, it made her feel the warmth and beauty between people.
She took the umbrella with both hands and tears welled up in her eyes.
“Thank you.”
The black Mercedes–Benz gradually disappeared into the rain curtain. Rebecca stood there holding an umbrella, looking at the direction of the car leaving, with mixed feelings in her heart, and stood idly for a long time.
Rebecca had not returned to Paradise for three days. The butler finally realized the seriousness of the problem.

He personally went to Rebecca’s room and found that all her daily necessities and clothes were there, but he could not find her visa
“Damn it!”
The butler guessed that Rebecca might have left Denmark, so he dialed Chris’s phone number in a fright, ready to be scolded
“Mr. Evans” The butler’s voice was shaking.
Chris just came out of the conference room and said impatiently, “Speak up.”
“Rebecca is gone.”
Chris’s eyes flickered, making people feel scared. “What do you mean by disappearing?”
“She said that she was not feeling well and wanted to go to the hospital. I gave her a day off. Now three days have passed, and she still hasn’t returned. She didn’t answer her phone. I went to her room to check and found that her visa was missing…” Say it quietly.
After listening to this, Chris exuded cold air and scolded, “Idiot, you can’t even look at a woman.”
“Mr. Evans, I know I’m wrong. It’s just that Rebecca is too cunning and full of lies. I was careless and let her leave Paradise.”
Chris was indifferent. “Shut up, I won’t listen to any explanation. Get out of Paradise immediately and don’t dirty my place.”
“Mr. Evans…”
Chris hung up the phone angrily. After walking into the office, he tore off his tie. He stood in front of the huge floor–to–ceiling window and looked down at the entire city like an emperor.
He really underestimated Rebecca. That woman had the guts to leave Paradise privately and violated the agreement. He didn’t have to think about it to know that she would definitely return to New York.
Chris clenched his fists tightly. The blue veins burst out.
“Rebecca, you’d better pray that you don’t let me touch you, or you’ll be dead.”
In order to prevent Chris from finding out that she had returned to New York, Rebecca had to be fully armed, including a hat, sunglasses and a scarf.
What she was thinking about the most was Rebeccaana, but she could not go directly to the Evans family. She could only go to the kindergarten gate early every day as she did before going to Denmark, hoping to have a chance to see her daughter.
Her hard work paid off. After a week of waiting, she finally saw her daughter, whom she missed day and night.
Although it was a long distance away, she could still see from afar that Rebeccaana had lost weight, the smile on her face had lessened, and she did not look very happy.
Rebecca felt distressed and wanted to rush over to hug Rebeccaana, but she told herself that being reckless and impulsive would only shock the snake.
Once Chris found out about her, he would definitely use all means to drive her out of New York City.
The Evans family’s car slowly moved out of sight, and Rebeccaana was also led into the kindergarten by the teacher. Rebecca still stood there reluctant to leave, she did not feel the tears quietly flowing down.
After an unknown amount of time, an idea flashed through her mind. If she could work in a kindergarten…
The next day, Rebecca walked into the kindergarten with her resume. At this time, the children were in class, and the security took her to the floor where the personnel department was located.
All the people standing in the corridor were applicants. At first glance, they were all young girls. Their appearance and temperament were very good.
Rebecca began to sweat nervously as she held her resume.
The competition is huge!
“Each person has a number. Line up in order, and then enter the office for the interview.”

Rebecca took the number plate from the staff and patiently waited in line.
In the blink of an eye, more than an hour later, Rebecca finally reached the front of the team.
“Rebecca, it’s your turn, go in.”
“Thank you.”
Rebecca took a deep breath and adjusted herself. With a smile on her face, she knocked on the door and walked in.
The interviewers were two female teachers.
After they looked at Rebecca’s resume, they asked a few routine questions, which Rebecca answered correctly.
“Miss Gadot, I want to know what work experience you have had in the past two years. Have you ever engaged in work related to early childhood education?”
In two years…
In the end, she could not get around this problem.
Rebecca nervously lowered her head and pursed her lips.
“Miss Gadot, please answer the question objectively. Thank you for your cooperation.” The interviewing teacher began to urge.
Rebecca looked up in confusion, her lips trembling slightly.
It was heart–wrenching to tear off her worst side in public, but instead of lying, she was more willing to be honest.
“I was in prison for four years and I was just released in February this year.”
