Chapter 21
Outside the emergency room, the two men waited tensely with their minds in turmoil.
They had planned to distance themselves from Ariana, but now she’d been injured saving them.
“Darth, Anton–guess what I just saw in the security footage?” Loki arrived, his face showing
disbelief.
Loki and Anton snapped to attention. “What?”
“This accident was planned!”
“By who?” Their lingering resentment toward Ariana vanished instantly, replaced by concern.
“The driver escaped, but my security team found his phone at the scene. There’s a message to Rebecca. See for yourself.”
They stared at the familiar number:
‘Don’t worry, Miss Gadot. I’ll handle everything as promised. Don’t forget our arrangement.‘
“Rebecca?” Darth stood frozen, his throat dry.
“That’s impossible. This is a setup. It has to be.”
Anton angrily threw the phone as if not seeing it would make it untrue.
“I don’t believe it either. I’m going to ask hermyself. Coming?” Loki couldn’t accept that Rebecca
would do this to them.
“Let’s go.”
Just as they were about to leave, the OR doors opened and Ariana was wheeled out.
“The patient will be fine with proper rest,” the doctor said before leaving.
The three men looked at Ariana’s pale face on the bed, their eyes filled with sympathy.
Perhaps given less anesthesia than usual, Ariana slowly opened her eyes.

Seeing them surrounding her, she managed a weak smile.
“Thank goodness you’re all safe.”
Their resolve strengthened. Even in this condition, she still worried about them. They were more
determined than ever to get justice for her.
“Ariana, rest now. We found some evidence that links Rebecca to the accident. We’re going to get
answers.”
“Rebecca?” She appeared confused about the connection.
“The accident might have been orchestrated by Rebecca.”
“Why would she do something like this to us?” Ariana widened her eyes in apparent shock and
disbelief.
“Just focus on getting better, okay? We’ll be back soon.”
“Be careful. I’d worry if anything happened to you.” She blushed shyly, lowering her gaze.
“We will.” They patted her head and left.
Once they were gone, Ariana raised her eyes to the door, a cold smile spreading across her face.
“Loki, Darth, Anton–go ahead and turn against your precious Rebecca. Become enemies for life. That’s the only way my position remains secure.”
She texted the driver, telling him to hide well and avoid capture.
Just thinking about the confrontation about to happen made her so happy that even her pain seemed
to lessen.
Meanwhile, the three men arrived at the Evans estate only to be stopped at the gates again.
This time they didn’t wait passively, bombarding Rebecca with calls from different numbers and threatening to drive through the gates.
Rebecca was exasperated and finally came out to meet them.
Chris and several security guards accompanied her, concerned by the men’s clearly unstable
behavior.
Chapter 21.
“Rebecca, do you hate us that much?” Loki demanded the moment he saw her.
Rebecca was completely baffled, having no idea what was happening.
“We made some mistakes, but you’d throw away years of friendship and try to kill us?”
Darth could barely breathe thinking that Rebecca had arranged to have them run over.
“Rebecca, we never thought you’d stoop this low.”
Anton stared at her with profound disappointment.
Rebecca hadn’t said a single word and was already being accused of attempted murder.
“I told you not to come around me again. And now you’re here, barking like a bunch of mad dogs.
Fuck off.”
