That night, Creative Creations‘ design department held an emergency meeting, Klaus put the blueprint of Avery’s design for Evans’s new real estate on the projector.
“I don’t think there is any problem with the design. What do you think?” Klaus asked in a firm tone.
Avery was deeply relieved and said, “Thank you, Mr. Smith, for your affirmation.”
“Mr. Smith is wise.” The group of people took the lead and shouted a few times. Although the other groups were silent, no one came forward to deny Klaus’s point of view. They also felt that Avery’s design was high quality and there was no problem with it.
At a loss, everyone looked at each other, and the meeting room fell silent when Klaus stood up calmly without anger or disappointment about the failed cooperation.
“Since no one is at fault. It’s t Avery’s responsibility for not being able to cooperate with the Evans Corporation this time, but the Evans Corporation”
Halfway through his words, Rebecca suddenly stood up and interjected, “Mr. Smith, with all due respect, there are a few flawed details in this drawing.”
After Rebecca finished speaking, everyone eyed her in awe, thinking she was crazy, especially the people from Avery’s league.
“Can you just shut up and mind your own design? You dare to question Avery’s talent in design?” Charlie hissed.
“She’s questioning Ms. Larkins‘ talent and Mr. Smith’s keen judgment. Was she tired of living?” One of the crowd heckled.
With determination, Rebecca confidently pointed out flaws in the design despite being ridiculed by others. After explaining her judgment, everyone was dumbfounded as they eyed Rebecca and the blueprint in disbelief.
Rebecca shot Avery with keen and rational questions, but Avery failed to give sufficient answers. Avery felt like she was humiliated as her eyes burned with fury. She felt this was the biggest insult she had ever received since joining the industry.
“Rebecca, you have the nerve now?” Avery snarled, gritting her teeth.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Larkins, but for the company’s sake, I have to offend you,” Rebecca responded as a matter of fact.
“Ms. Gadot, I admire your courage. Does that mean, with your words, that you can get the contract from the Evans Corporation?”
“If you’d allow me, Mr. Smith. I’m willing to give it a shot,” Rebecca expressed. Her attitude is neither humble nor arrogant.
After finished speaking, she looked at Klaus in the main seat and uttered, “Mr. Smith, I hope the company will give me a chance to prove my talent.”
Klaus‘ eyes became solemnand he suppressed his palm in excitement, saying, “You want to refine the design?”
Rebecca nodded and with great determination, she spoke bluntly, “Yes, I want to modify the design.”
“Ms. Gadot, I admire your courage. Creative Creations needs a fearless designer like you. Please don’t let me down.” Rebecca’s eyes were firm, and a grateful smile appeared on the corner of her mouth.
Three days later, Rebecca arrived at the Evans Corporation by herself and brought along the blueprint. The magnificent group building was located in the heart of New York. Chris built this business empire as his conglomerate life, and no one had ever surpassed it.
Rebecca looked up with a heavy heart, but eventually withdrew her gaze and entered the building. Upon arrival, the front desk staff denied her request to see the CEO due to lack of appointment.
“You must schedule an appointment with Mr. Evans at least one week in advance. If you don’t make an appointment, Mr. Evans will not accept your request to meet him. Even if you get to the top floor, the security in the CEO’s office will stop you.” The receptionist stated.
“I’m from the Creative Creations Company, I’m here to send the design drawings to Mr. Evans. Please accommodate me.” Rebecca spoke calmly.
“I apologize, Ms. Gadot, but I cannot accommodate your request,” the receptionist regretfully stated.
At this moment, Assistant Mark walked in and witnessed Rebecca standing at the front desk. His brow furrowed in curiosity, so he approached her way and queried, “Ms. Gadot, Why are you here?”

As soon Rebecca recognized Assistant Mark, she knew he was Chris’s assistant and meeting him at this time could be a blessing in disguise.
Strong willed, Rebecca approached the assistant and remarked, “Assistant Mark, please help me. I want to see President Evans.”
“I’m here to send the blueprints to Mr. Evans on behalf of the Creative Creations.” Rebecca assessed as she waved the blueprint in her hands.
In hesitation, Mark paused momentarily untilhe gave up and accompanied Rebecca to thetop floor. Rebecca felt a chill run down her spine as they made their way towards the elevator, dreading the prospect of encountering Chris and the fact that she was in the devil’s den.
Meanwhile, Chris spoke with Oliver about the European production line over the phone. Soon after the call ended, the office door suddenly opened, revealing Assistant Mark.
“Mr. Evans,” Assistant Mark called out respectfully.
Chris’s sharp gaze locked onto him as he furrowed his eyebrows in concern, asking, “What’s the matter?”
“One of the Creative Creations‘ designers is here to send us the blueprints. She’s waiting outside.” Assistant Mark declared.
Hearing the name of the Company where Rebecca was working, Chris’s expression became glum as his brow furrowed.
“Mr. Evans, the people outside actually are ” Assistant Mark halted when he received Chris’s death stare in the middle of his speech, making him tongue–tied.
Just in time, the office door was gently pushed open, and Rebecca carefully strode in, saying, “Mr. Evans, My name is Rebecca Gadot, on behalf of Creative Creations. Regarding the last design presented, there are indeed some imperfections and modifications. Today, I’m bringing a new design. Please take a look at it.”
Rebecca finished speaking in one breath before she felt her limbs give up due to dread. Heavy tension filled the four walls when Assistant Mark exited the office and closed the door.
Only Chris and Rebecca were inside in the CEO’s office,Chris emanated an icy aura, causing the temperature to plummet. He glared at Rebecca with a sinister look, treating her like a speck of dust in his eyes.
“Rebecca, have you gone nuts? Who gives you permission to barge into my territory? Even you brought this pile of trash in front of me. Did I tell you I want to see it? Get out!” Chris growled as he threw the blueprint on the ground.
As Rebecca watched how the designs scattered on the floor, she tightened her grip until she could no longer feel her fingers in distress. Those designs are the fruit of her effort overnight.
Holding her temper, Rebecca squatted down as she picked up the blueprint and pleaded, “Mr. Evans, I sincerely suggest you look at this design. Creative Creations really wants this cooperation with your Company.”
Instead of helping Rebecca, Chris sneered as he stood up and walked aggressively toward her. His actions made Rebecca fall to the ground and gasped from the stinging pain.
“Do you know why I refused to cooperate with Creative Creations last time?” Chris queried, his teeth clenched.
Before Rebecca could answer, his eyes gleamed devilishly and heckled, “It has nothing to do with the design. The only reason I refused the cooperation was not because of the Company’s name but because of your presence. It made me sick.”
