Chapter 130
“if you ask me, you totally deserved this, fold you back then that guys need to be more of a gentleman James still couldn’t help wanting
Sebastian Just had no patience with other women, which left Abigail with a terrible Impression of him,
Sebastian gave him a cold look. “I had Jeremiah buy her a bag. Wasn’t that gentlemanly enough?”
You told Jeremiah to get her a bag and send him away right in front of that woman, didn’t you?” James asked him.
Sebastian didn’t answer that question. Instead, he said coolly. “She was actually crossing the line a bit anyway. We’re not really together, after all
“But Abby doesn’t know that.” James looked at him with a grin. “Maybe stay away from her for a while so you don’t scare her off completely. She already went through that mess with Ralph, so she probably has a hard time trusting men right now.”
“Keep smiling and I’ll throw you off this building.” Sebastian threatened with a stone–cold expression.
James could understand his frustration though. Sebastian had always been incredibly popular with women his whole life. Now he was getting rejected by Abigail.
“I think your confession was way too casual,” James said. “What if you’d done it somewhere formal? You just randomly told her ‘let’s be together” while talking about work. How is that appropriate?”
James figured all girls cared about that kind of thing. ‘Who confesses in the middle of a business conversation?‘ he thought. That’s ridiculous.
“Besides, you know exactly what she’s been through,” James continued.
Sebastian grunted. “So you can shut up now.”
“Seriously, what’s wrong with you?” James was furious. “I’m seriously trying to help you figure this out, and you can’t say one nice thing?”
“Like you said, we both know what her situation is. Since she turned it down, just drop it.” Sebastian headed toward the bedroom. “I’m going to rest for a
bit.”
James snorted. “Fine, if Abby’s not here, then I’m leaving too!”
When Abigail got back to the office, she handed Timothy the meeting summary she’d written.
“What did Mr. Robinson say?” Timothy asked.
“Mr. Robinson said we can move forward with development,” Abigail replied calmly.
Timothy nodded and looked over at Trevor, who was looking pretty uncomfortable. “Come here. Get in here and take a look. See how a proper meeting summary is supposed to be written.”
He called everyone into the conference room and plugged in his USB drive. “Anyone who’s got a problem with this, pay attention. And don’t give me any excuses about gender later!”
Abigail’s meeting summary laid out all the advantages of their database development project crystal clear.
“Trevor, tell me why she wrote it this way.” Timothy called him out immediately after everyone finished reading.
Trevor shifted in his seat and stammered, “Well… to highlight our R&D department’s capabilities.”
“Oh, so you do know that. Then why can’t you write like this?” Timothy snorted coldly. “You went yesterday and Mr. Robinson called me in the middle of the night to chew me out.

“How about you look at yourself instead? You’re a grown man and you can’t even write a decent meeting summary, Isn’t that embarrassing
When Timothy went off on someone, nobody in the R&D department could match him.
Trevor knew he was in the wrong and turned to Abigail awkward/p
Abigail didn’t respond.
“Sorry about that. I didn’t mean anything by it.”
Trevor felt embarrassed by her silence and kept going. “Look, I already apologized. And yesterday whert I messed up, I said sorry then too. Why can’t you just let it go?”
“If you hadn’t run your mouth, would any of this have happened? Just are?” Abigail said, then turned her attention back to the projector.

apologize doesn’t mean I have to forgive you. Who do you think you
Trevor was about to say more when Leon cut him off. “She was minding her own business, and you had to make it about gender.
“Now that you’re getting called out, you throw out some quick apology and think we should all just forget about it. Seriously, where do guys like you get the balls to think that actually works?”
“Leon, you’re way out of line!” Trevor shot up from his chair.
“So what if I am? You didn’t think you were out of line when you were mocking Abigail for being a woman. But now that I’m calling you out, suddenly I’m the problem? Talk about double standards!” Leon stood up too, smirking.
“All of you shut the hell up! You think this is some playground for your arguments?” Timothy slammed his files down on the table. “If you want to fight, get out and do it somewhere else!”
Leon sat back down and immediately made a mocking gesture at Trevor.
Trevor’s face turned red with anger, his eyes burning with fury as he glared at Leon.
