(Aria’s POV)
The afternoon sun streamed through the windows of our Moon Valley home as I sat with my parents, baby Nolan sleeping peacefully in my arms. The time had come to reveal the disturbing truth Dominic and I had uncovered about my past.
“Mom, Dad,” I began, my wolf stirring with nervous energy, “I need to tell you something important about my childhood kidnapping.”
Dr. Michael Lewis looked up from his medical journals, his expression immediately alert. “What is it, sweetheart?”
“I believe Patricia Lewis and Alison are involved in my a*******n,” I said quietly, watching their faces for reaction. “My wolf’s instincts have been piecing together the puzzle, and everything points to them.”
Mrs. Caroline Lewis gasped, her maternal wolf bristling with shock. “Patricia? But she’s family!”
“That’s exactly why it makes sense,” I continued, my voice growing stronger. “They had access to our home, knowledge of our routines, and most importantly, they had motive.”
Dr. Michael’s expression darkened, his wolf’s scent shifting with old regrets. “I’ve suspected Alison’s animosity toward you for years. That’s why I sent her away from Lewis family territory when she was
younger.”
“You sent her away?” I asked, surprised by this revelation.
“Her jealousy and troublemaking behavior became too disruptive,” he explained, his powerful presence radiating protective authority. “She couldn’t accept that you were the true Lewis daughter, even as a child.”
I shifted Nolan to my other arm, my maternal instincts making me hold him closer. “If Patricia and Alison were present during the a*******n, that explains why the culprit was never found despite extensive pack investigations.”
“But how can you be certain?” Mrs. Caroline asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
“Dominic has been collecting evidence,” I revealed, reaching for the documents he’d prepared. “Patricia has significant gambling debts that someone else paid off. The amount exceeds ten million moon–silver.”
Both my parents stared at me in shock, their wolf scents spiking with disbelief.
“Ten million?” Dr. Michael repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. “That’s an enormous sum.”
“Exactly,” I confirmed. “Someone with serious resources wanted my k********g to succeed badly enough to pay that much. I suspect Patricia colluded with someone from inside the Lewis family.”
Mrs. Caroline’s face went pale. “You think there’s someone else involved? Someone we trust?”
“That’s what we intend to find out,” I said firmly. “The planned family separation isn’t just about protecting ourselves. It’s bait to expose the true mastermind behind my a*******n during the upcoming full moon celebration.”

My pregnant wolf stirred with nervous energy at the thought of finally confronting the truth about my past. After all these years, we would finally unmask the person who had torn our family apart.
“Are you sure about this Dr. Michael asked, his paternal instincts clearly worried about the danger. If
there really is someone else involved, they might become desperate when cornered.”
“Dominic will be there to protect us,” I assured him. “And we need to know the truth. Our family deserves
justice.”
Before anyone could respond, the sound of approaching footsteps interrupted our conversation. Dr. Marcus Lewis appeared in the doorway, his wolf’s scent betraying anxiety despite his casual demeanor.
“Michael, Caroline,” he greeted with forced cheerfulness. “I came to see the newest addition to the family after finishing surgery at the werewolf medical center.”

I studied my brother’s face carefully, my enhanced werewolf senses picking up the subtle signs of deception. Marcus’s wolf was radiating nervous energy that had nothing to do with medical exhaustion.
“Really?” I said, my voice carrying Alpha authority. “You came all this way just to see Nolan?”
Marcus shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting toward the baby before returning to mine. “Of course. He’s my
nephew.”
“Cut the pretense, Marcus,” I said firmly, my protective instincts flaring. “We both know you’re here about the division of Lewis family assets and territory.”
His casual facade cracked slightly. “Michael, surely we can discuss this calmly. Patricia’s harsh words don’t
represent her true feelings.”
“Her true feelings?” I repeated, my wolf’s defensive posture obvious. “Then explain to me what Patricia really thinks about Aria’s return to our family.”
Marcus found himself at a loss for words, his wolf’s discomfort evident in his shifting scent. His mouth opened and closed several times before he managed to speak.
“She… she’s adjusting to the changes,” he stammered weakly. “It’s been difficult for everyone.”
“Difficult for everyone, or difficult for Patricia specifically?” I pressed, my powerful presence demanding
honesty.
“You’re being unfair,” Marcus protested, but his wolf’s submissive posture betrayed his uncertainty. “Patricia has always been supportive of family unity.”
“Is that what you call demanding we leave the Lewis pack?” I asked coldly. “Is that what you call threatening
to have us expelled?”
Marcus’s face went pale. “She never said that.”
“She said it to our faces,” Caroline interjected, her maternal wolf bristling with anger. “Multiple times.”
The room fell silent except for Nolan’s soft breathing. Marcus looked trapped, his wolf’s scent heavy with guilt and fear.
“I’m sure there’s been some misunderstanding,” he said desperately. “Patricia would never intentionally hurt family.”

Before Marcus could respond, heavy footsteps announced another arrival. Dr. Samuel Lewis strode into the room, his wolf’s aggressive pheromones filling the space immediately.

I watched as Samuel entered with his characteristic commanding presence, his wolf radiating territorial authority. His expression was thunderous, clearly having heard about the family division through pack gossip.
“Michael,” he demanded without preamble, “I want an explanation for this sudden desire to divide our family territory and assets.”
My mate’s jaw tightened, his Alpha instincts responding to the challenge. “You should ask Patrícia about her behavior toward our returned daughter.”
“Patricia?” Samuel’s voice rose with indignation. “How could Patricia have possibly offended you? She’s been nothing but welcoming to Aria.”
“Welcoming?” I couldn’t contain my fury any longer. “Is that what you call her demands and threats?”
Samuel turned to me with dismissive confidence. “Caroline, surely you’re exaggerating. Patricia may be direct, but she’s not cruel.”
“Direct?” I repeated, my maternal wolf bristling with outrage. “She insulted Aria to her face and demanded our expulsion from the Lewis family. Were you aware of these actions?”
“I don’t believe that for a second,” Samuel replied flatly, his wolf’s stubbornness evident in his elevated scent. “Patricia would never say such things.”
“She demanded one million moon–silver from my mate,” I continued, my voice growing stronger. “She threatened to have us expelled if we didn’t comply. She questioned Aria’s legitimacy as a Lewis daughter.”
Samuel’s expression didn’t waver. “There must be some misunderstanding. Patricia doesn’t have the authority to make such demands.”
“But she made them anyway,” I shot back. “And you’re defending her without even investigating the truth.” “I’m defending her because I know her character,” Samuel insisted, his wolf’s loyalty to his brother’s mate evident. “She’s been a loyal member of this family for decades.”
“Loyal to her own interests,” I muttered, my wolf’s protective instincts flaring.
“That’s enough,” Samuel declared, his Alpha authority attempting to dominate the room. “I won’t listen to baseless accusations against Patricia.”
