Chapter 161: Kneel to Me, and I’ll Tell You
Chapter 161: Kneel to Me, and I’ll Tell You
(Aria’s POV)
“I’ll go with you.” Seeing Dominic hang up the phone, I couldn’t help but feel worried and wanted to go with him, my wolf whimpering anxiously within me.
Given the tension between them on the phone just now, they would probably start fighting as soon as they met. The raw hostility in both their voices had made my pregnant wolf pace restlessly beneath my skin.
“What’s wrong? Are you really afraid I’ll fight him?” Dominic gently stroked my hair, his powerful Alpha presence attempting to soothe me. His touch was warm and reassuring, but I could still sense the underlying tension in his muscles.
“Don’t worry, he can’t beat me.” His confidence was absolute, backed by years of combat training and his superior Alpha strength.
As if sensing my lingering unease, Dominic continued to appease me. “You also know that Alexander is stubborn. If I don’t deliberately provoke him, I probably won’t get anything out of him.”
I naturally understood this principle. Alexander’s pride was both his strength and his weakness – it could be used against him if approached correctly.
However, in my opinion, simply provoking Alexander wouldn’t elicit any information from him. He was too cunning, too controlled to fall for simple tactics.
“I still want to go with you.” My voice was firm despite my anxiety.
“Alright,” Dominic hooked his lips and smiled brightly, his silver–gray eyes gleaming with amusement. “Then when I beat him up later, you can cheer me on from the side.”
His playful tone made me roll my eyes, though I couldn’t suppress a small smile. Even in serious situations, he managed to lighten the mood.
Stepping into the Storm Pack headquarters again after several months, I felt an absurd sense of unreality, as if a lifetime had passed. My pregnant wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin, recognizing the familiar scents
but feeling like an outsider now.
The building looked the same, but the atmosphere was completely different. There was a tension in the air, a sense of barely controlled chaos that made my wolf’s hackles rise.
Even without understanding pack politics and business management, I could discern that the Storm Pack
was currently in turmoil and peril. Everyone’s nerves were stretched to their limit, their scents betraying
stress and fear.
“Alexander is probably swamped right now,” Dominic whispered with a light chuckle as we entered the elevator, his cedar scent wrapping around me protectively.
I instinctively lowered my eyes, aware of the Storm Pack’s dire situation. The elevator felt smaller than I remembered, the silence heavier.
The Storm Pack and Marcus Vaughn had once been deeply entwined in business partnerships, and their

separation was bound to be messy. I had witnessed some of their meetings during my time as Luna, seeing how intertwined their operations had become.
Moreover, with Marcus’s cunning, he must have set traps for Alexander long ago. The man had always struck me as calculating, his smile never reaching his eyes.
The Storm Pack’s business empire was now teetering on the brink of collapse. The whispers among pack members had been growing louder, their confidence shaken.
“Why trust anyone but Marcus Vaughn, that old fox?” Dominic scoffed, his Alpha authority evident in his disdainful tone.
I pursed my lips, saying nothing. During my two years with the Reed family, Marcus had often criticized me, supposedly because he was Alexander’s business mentor.
Elizabeth had also wanted to strengthen their ties with Marcus, pushing for closer relationships despite the
man’s obvious dislike of me.
Ultimately, it was a losing battle, and the Reed family had become the laughingstock of the Northern Territory. The thought made my stomach clench with remembered humiliation.
As I was lost in thought, the elevator door chimed open with a soft ding. When Beta Lucas Bell saw Dominic
escorting me out, his expression seemed to freeze for a moment.
His wolf’s scent betrayed his surprise before he quickly regained composure, his professional mask sliding back into place.
He hurried forward, his steps quick and nervous. “Alpha Dominic, why are you here?”
“I’m here to see Alexander.” Dominic’s tone was casual, but I could sense the underlying steel in his voice.
“Alpha Reed isn’t in…” Lucas began, his voice trailing off uncertainly.
Dominic pushed Lucas aside directly, his powerful Alpha presence intimidating. “Not in? He just arranged to
meet me…”
“Alpha Dominic…” Lucas instinctively tried to stop him, his Beta instincts conflicting with respect for a
superior Alpha.
His hand reached out hesitantly, then dropped back to his side as he realized the futility of the gesture.
“Let him in.” Just then, Alexander’s low voice came from the office, carrying the authority of a Storm Pack
Alpha.
The command was clear and resigned, as if he had been expecting this confrontation.
Dominic grinned at Lucas, then took my hand and pushed open Alexander’s office door. His grip was firm and reassuring, anchoring me in the moment.
Alexander was seated in his chair, and upon seeing me, his amber eyes flickered with something unreadable. The emotion was there and gone so fast that one might think it was an illusion.
His gaze lingered on me for a moment longer than necessary before quickly returning to normal, his Alpha mask firmly in place.
Dominic, as soon as he entered, casually sat on the sofa, his Alpha confidence filling the space. He moved with deliberate ease, claiming the territory as his own.

Knowing he wanted to deliberately provoke Alexander, I followed suit and sat beside him. My pregnant wolf was surprisingly calm under his protective presence.
“I heard the Storm Pack is about to lose its territory?” With that single sentence, Dominic struck directly at Alexander’s most vulnerable point.
Alexander’s expression darkened further, his Alpha pheromones spiking with anger. The scent of his fury filled the room like a toxic cloud.
Lucas, standing by, pursed his lips, sweat beading on his forehead. He looked utterly ill at ease in the presence of two hostile Alphas, caught between loyalty and self–preservation.
Dominic, however, seemed oblivious to Alexander’s gloomy face. As he spoke, he carelessly flipped through a magazine on the table, his movements deliberately casual.
Then he tapped the coffee table a few times, the sound echoing in the tense silence. “Guests are here, and there’s not even a cup of hot coffee. It really looks like your pack is failing.”
Alexander suddenly smiled, but it was a cold, calculated expression that never reached his eyes. He turned to Lucas with forced politeness.
“Bring one cup of hot coffee and one cup of herbal tea.”
“Yes, Alpha Reed.” Lucas nodded quickly, eager to escape the oppressive atmosphere.
Dominic’s smile subtly faded, clearly understanding that the herbal tea Alexander requested was for me. The gesture showed he still remembered my pregnancy needs, despite everything between us.
As their gazes met across the room, the tension between them was palpable. Their Alpha wolves bristled beneath their skin, ready for conflict.
“So, what do you want from me?” Alexander was the first to speak, his voice controlled but tense.
Dominic sat on the sofa with his legs crossed casually, pulling at the corner of his mouth lightly. “James’s
condition, it was your doing, wasn’t it?”
I looked at Dominic in surprise, not expecting him to ask so directly. My wolf whimpered with anxiety at the
blunt accusation.
“James?” Alexander’s eyes were cold, his Alpha scent shifting dangerously. “What happened to him?”
“Don’t pretend you don’t know. This kind of torturous method, only you could do it,” Dominic slightly curved
his lips, but without a hint of a smile.
His powerful presence radiated controlled fury, like a predator stalking its prey. “What kind of deep hatred is it
that makes you use such a heavy hand?”
The accusation hung in the air like a blade. James was now equivalent to mentally broken, which was no
different from destroying him completely.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Alexander’s expression was indifferent, showing no uace of emotion.
His Alpha mask was firmly in place, revealing nothing of his true thoughts or feelings.
I couldn’t help but feel a little anxious. I had thought before coming that with Alexander’s usual shrewdness,
no one would be able to find any evidence.
If he didn’t want to admit it, no one could get a single word out of him. His stubbornness was legendary, even

“Can’t remember?” Dominic’s smile faded slightly, his silver–gray eyes darkening with menace. “Then I’ll help you recall it properly.”
“The werewolf psychiatrist diagnosed that James was given a drug that damages the mental connection between human and wolf consciousness, which led to his psychological disorder.”
Alexander’s face remained impassive, but I caught a slight tightening around his eyes.
“And that drug, coincidentally, was produced by a pharmaceutical company with ties to Storm Pack businesses.”
The connection was damning, even if it wasn’t direct proof. Alexander’s jaw tensed almost imperceptibly. Alexander sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. “Just because of that?”
Dominic didn’t answer but instead questioned, “You must have threatened or enticed James to persuade Aria to re–mark with you, right?”
The theory made sense, explaining my brother’s desperate attempts to reconcile Alexander and me.
“But it failed in the end, so you became furious and took all your anger out on James…”
Before he could finish, Alexander coldly interrupted him. “Haven’t seen you in a few days, and your storytelling skills have improved.”
“Whether it’s a story or the truth, you know it yourself.” Dominic stared at Alexander and continued, “I’m a bit
curious, how exactly did you persuade James to help you? It must have been some leverage, right?”
At this, Alexander’s brow furrowed slightly, his Alpha composure cracking momentarily. However, upon seeing the curve of Dominic’s lips, he quickly realized that the other party was trying to get information from him.
“What? Want to know?” Alexander remained composed, his amber eyes flashing dangerously.
“Then kneel and kowtow to me, and I’ll tell you.”
My brows couldn’t help but furrow–this was going too far! The demand was insulting, designed to provoke
rather than negotiate.
Yet, I also knew that Alexander was deliberately trying to provoke Dominic, aiming to regain control of the
conversation.
But Dominic stood up directly, looking at Alexander with a half–smile. His powerful Alpha presence filled the room like a gathering storm.
“Kneeling and kowtowing, huh? Then I’ll wait until the Storm Pack loses its territory at the end of this month, and you can kowtow to me!”
“Mate, let’s go.” I quickly took his hand and stood up, my wolf responding to his comming presence.
I didn’t know why he suddenly wanted to leave, but I trusted his judgment completely.
“I think you should take care of yourself first! Your research company is probably going bankrupt right now!” Alexander’s voice was low, laced with barely suppressed anger.
His Alpha fury finally broke through his carefully maintained composure.
Dominic however, didn’t look back; he simply waved a few times dismissively. Then he led me out of the

office, his cedar scent wrapping around me protectively.
Because I was worried about werewolf–enhanced surveillance along the way, I waited until we were in his luxury SUV before I dared to ask.
“Why did you leave so quickly? You didn’t even get what you wanted to ask!”
Dominic curved his lips with a smile, his silver–gray eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “I already got it.”
