As the ring was yanked away, Ashley finally noticed someone beside her. She instinctively reached out. “Hey, that’s my Her words died the mement she saw Quiana’s face. “Quiaña?”
Ashley had just landed a role as the second female lead in a new drama. Quiana was playing the lead, and that was why Ashley ever took a villain role for the first time. Seeing Quiana, Ashley couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement.
Quiana threw the ring onto the counter. “Repackage it,” she told the clerk coldly, ignoring Ashley’s eager smile.
The diamond ring tumbled out of its box, hitting the counter with a sharp, crystal–clear ping.
Ashley’s eyes went wide, and she winced internally, ‘Holy crap, that’s a million–dollar ring! Wait–this is my engagement ring!”
She snapped to attention. “This is my engagement ring,” she said firmly, her hand protectively covering the diamond.
Quiana looked at her with a half–smile. “Engagement ring?”
That look sent a chill through Ashley. Though this was their first real meeting, she could already sense Quiana’s dislike.
‘Luckily, Sebastian is here.‘ Ashley spun around, and instantly, her eyes went wide–where was he?
Quiana picked up a corner of the cloth on the counter and slapped it on Ashley’s hand with a mocking smirk. “Your payer just left. Still want to fight me for this diamond ring? Huh?”
Ashley glanced at her, pursed her lips, and let go of the ring. Then she forced a fragile smile and said, “Q–Quiana, I have something urgent. I gotta go
Quiana frowned as she watched Ashley flee after Sebastian. ‘Why do I feel the jerk Sebastian and the witch behave so strangely together?‘ she wondered.
“Ms. Guzman.” The clerk bowed respectfully. “What shall we do with this ring?”
Snapping back to reality, Quiana grabbed the ring and threw it in the trash. “Who does she think she is, coming to shop at my family’s store? Throw away everything she touched and disinfect the entire store.”

As the clerk moved to comply, Quiana seemed to have a thought and gestured for the clerk to lean in. “Send Ashley a sponsored ring. Say it’s a promotional gift from the store if she’ll help film a short promotional video.”
Yasmine soon learned about Quiana’s bold move. She called Quiana with a sigh. “I can handle this myself.”
Quiana scoffed, “You do your thing, I’ll do mine. Problem? Those two assholes came to our store for their engagement ring, and you think I’d just sit back? Gross! They don’t deserve to even step foot in our store!”
Yasmine was momentarily speechless. Before she could reply, her phone buzzed with a notification.
A new trending topic emerged on Twitter–Ashley had showcased a ring while announcing her engagement party with Sebastian. But comments revealed her “hundred–million–dollar” ring was actually moissanite.
‘So this was the real reason Quiana summoned me from the mall entrance to the west side of town?‘ Yasmine fell silent for a moment and said helplessly, “I want to handle this myself, Quiana.”
After Yasmine’s relentless begging, Quiana finally agreed. “Alright,” she sighed, then added casually, “Check your phone, Yasmine.”
