Chapter 15
Soren’s POV

Employees and lower class wolves scurry throughout my large villa. They speak in hushed tones and always bow their head whenever they pass me. Many of them carry new wallpapers while others carry equipment for a stage that is to be placed in my
backyard.
In a week, Bianca and I’s engagement party will be held in the heart of the Alpha villa.
Everyone who lives inside the villa has been working nonstop to make sure that things run smoothly at the party and that nothing
will go wrong or unexpected.
My Beta cares about me deeply. He still hopes I’ll find my fated mate, but unfortunately, it has undoubtedly ended in failure.
a
“…We’ve searched the entire pack, even checking all the wolfless,” my Beta says. “The only one who hasn’t been examined
recently is Miss Celia…”
But I pay no mind to his words.
If Celia were my fated mate, we would have recognized each other long ago–she’s just an ordinary wolfless girl.
… Yes. She means nothing to me.
Ever since Bianca and I sent out invitations for the event, she has decided to move into her future home.
Bianca made things more stressful for the workers.
She has made herself at home in my grand villa and has even taken a liking to redecorating every single room in the home,
completely undoing what the workers have worked on.
She has demanded that they throw out old furniture and replace it with new, modern designs.
She thought the Werewolf designs to be woefully outdated and even got into a slight argument with my butler.
He is an old man who is very much stuck in the old Werewolf ways. It is how he got along with my father when he was the Alpha
King and when I was just a small boy.
The butler disapproved of her drastic changes and even came to me about how stressful her constant nitpicking was. I waved him away and informed him that it would be of not use to argue against her and to just do as she says, that way we don’t have to listen
to her incessant complaints.
“Soren? Honey” Bianca calls for me. I glance in her direction, rubbing my aching temples. “I’m going to throw this away. I hope
it’s okay.”

I know that no matter what I say, whatever it is she wants to get rid of will be gone whether I like it or not. I turn buy head to look
at her, singing to myself. Bianca points at a foot rest, one that Celia bought for me not too long ago.
Celia…
Celia’s contract with me was one to be my lover. For a million dollars to pay off her loans, she would be mine whenever I wanted
her. She was to remain in secret, yes, but she was still my contracted lover.
Celia often did things outside of the contract for me. She learned how to massage my scalp just right to ease the sharp pain inside
my skull. She also bought some of the furniture that I use everyday inside my home, such as the foot rest next to the couch, as well
as homely rugs and coasters to protect the old wood from water lines.
She took care of not just me, but my life and environment around me.
Could her words all that time ago be true? Does Celia truly love me?
a
I remember her trembling body in the rain. She was so small compared to everyone else in the Red Light District. Her fragile body
jumped out at me and I watched as she neared me. Her gaze never met mine, she was always quick to look away when I inched
closer towards her.
It was only when I covered her with my umbrella that I got a good look at her eyes that I realized that she would be an adequate
lover for me. The fool I was, thinking that she would look past my status as the Alpha King.
But Celia did say that she loves me…
No…no that can’t be. No woman who enters the Red Light District goes in there for love. She saw me and lured me in with her
claws, hooking me under the persuasion of her sweet looks and heartfelt eyes.
Celia, as I have come to know her, has only ever been in it for the money and status. She has used me as much as I have used her.
She went into the contract with me knowing that the place by my side was empty, that Bianca was not there to fill it.
That wolf–less woman temporarily filled in the void; she played the part well but her time is done. I have to respect the decision
that I have made. I was the one who served her the break up contract, so why must I be the one who has to suffer from the constant
reminders of her presence in my home?
I should rid myself of her! Shed myself free of her presence and her scent that lingers on the pieces of furniture and gifts so I can
live my life and walk into my future with Bianca hand in hand instead of her holding me back.
I don’t care about her. I simply can’t.
“Yes…you may throw it away, Bianca,” I finally respond, looking in her direction before stepping away. “Throw away whatever
you want. I do not care.”
My head throbs and my body begs for some kind of rest. I stagger across the living room, reaching out to find something to take rest on. My fingers curl around the desk, using it to guide myself away from the loud noises and bright lights.
I inch towards the new couch that Bianca had bought and lay down on it. I kick off my shoes and sprawl across the couch, making

myself comfortable.
I close my eyes and sigh, feeling sleep overtake my body, swallowing me in darkness.

Bianca’s POV
I wave at the workers to take away the foot rest alongside other pieces in the large living room. It all looked so…old. Old and
outdated.
My Alpha King deserves the best and I, his future Lycan bride, am more than willing to make it a reality for him. I watch as the
employees pick up the old loveseat, the patterns on the fabric causing me to gag.
Seriously, who lives like this?
I turn around and notice Soren fast asleep on the new couch. Oh my…he looks so handsome, even when he’s sleeping.
My feet carry me towards him and I kneel down at his side, my knees tensing against the cool ground.
It must be my name…so lovely. He really loves me so much.
I push a piece of his hair out of his face. I slide my nails into his hair and scratch his head just the way he likes it. Soren stirs in his
sleep and I slow my movements, his face softening under my touch.
He mumbles something under his breath. It sounds like a name. Short and to the point, no lingering or long winded sentences flee
from his lips. Just a simple name that I cannot make out.
I cock my head to the side and lean in, lips pursed and ready to kiss him when I am finally able to understand what it is he is
saying.
“Celia…” he breathes out.
I pull myself away from him, my fingers immediately fleeing from his scalp. I stand and look down at him, my body unable to
move any more from shock.
…Why is he saying her
?!
