Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Cheryl clung to Hayden’s arm, whining nonstop.
Hayden looked embarrassed. “Cheryl, you’re an adult. Stop acting like a kid.” He quietly pulled his arm away.
Undeterred, Cheryl grabbed his arm again. “I got blackmailed because of helping Yasmine keep her secret. You owe me big time.”
Yasmine nodded in agreement. “Cheryl has a point.”
Hayden was speechless.
Yasmine’s gaze turned cold as she watched Cheryl’s drama.
She’d almost forgotten she used to be the free–spirited girl, just like Cheryl. For so–called love, she’d worked undercover as a maid at the Zimmerman residence. Betrayal was all she got.
She asked herself silently, thinking, ‘How could I put all my eggs in Sebastian’s basket? That was pure stupidity.
Not wanting to interrupt them, Yasmine quietly stood up and moved to the window. As she looked down, she saw Ashley stumble out of a car.
She leaned closer and saw Ashley leaning out the car window, talking to someone inside. Suddenly, Ashley yanked the door open and dragged a man out.
“You’re abandoning me too?!” Ashley’s choked sob cut through the quiet night.
Cheryl tilted her head. “Hey, doesn’t that voice sound familiar?” she murmured, frowning.
Hayden’s brows furrowed. “Yeah, it does ring a bell.” His eyes suddenly widened. “Oh man, that’s the cheater who stole Yasmine’s husband. I want to punch the TV every time her face pops up.”
“Then what’s she doing here?” Cheryl asked.
Cheryl and Hayden exchanged glances, and then turned to Yasmine, who was still staring downward. They moved in unison and took positions on either side of Yasmine by the window.
A few minutes later, Cheryl gasped, “A serial mistress?” She nudged Yasmine. “Looks like it’s not just you. Sebastian’s suffering from: cheating.”
Backlit, Yasmine’s delicate features blended into the shadows. She stayed silent, staring at the scene below.
Downstairs, Ashley threw herself into the man’s arms, sobbing quietly. Their tight embrace gave off such a strong vibe that even from a distance, Yasmine could almost sense the vibe.

After watching for a few seconds, Yasmine pulled out her phone to take photos. Her face froze. She’d forgotten to turn off the flash.
The bright flash cut through the black night. In the next second, Ashley and the man looked up at the same time. Yasmine quickly closed the curtains and turned off the lights.
“Well… Cheryl broke the awkward silence. “Guess phone night mode is still pretty bad these days.”
Yasmine checked her phone and sighed, “Even the night node photos turned out blurry.” The camera flash had reflected off the glass, creating bright streaks that completely obscured the figures. The photo was extremely blurry.
Hayden stood by the window with one hand in his pocket. “This isn’t about night photography anymore. Ashley’s sharp eyes have locked onto our location.” He added calmly, “Yasmine, you’re about to be exposed.”
