Chapter 75
Loosing the patience to wait for Chris’s response for a long time. Emily felt uneasy and asked carefully. “Chris, what are you thinking abre
Chris retracted his thoughts and indifferently turned around.
“I heard everything you said. Go home.”
“Chris, you will please help me, right?” Emily eagerly stepped forward, her eyes full of anticipation.
“You go home first!” Chris ordered sharply, his cold face already showing anger.
Emily did not dare to provoke him at this time, and she was unwilling to go and endured the grievance to leave Evans Group of Companies.
“Okay, I’ll go home for now”
At this moment, Chris was the only one left in the office.
“.” His mellow voice exuded an indescribable majesty.
Mark had been guarding the door, and when he heard the sound, he immediately opened the door and went in.
“Mr. Evans, what can I do for you?”
“I’ll give you a chance to make up for your mistake a while ago. The last place Rebecca appeared was in the hospital parking lot. Before dawn tomorrow, I’ll find her place in New York.”
It was getting dark. After bringin Rebecca home, Boris personally cooked a nutritious dinner for her.
Looking at the three dishes and one soup on the table, Rebecca thought that she was dreaming.
She did not expect that Boris would actually know how to cook. Although she hadn’t tasted it yet, she was already very hungry just looking at it.
“It’s been a long time since I cooked. I don’t know how it tastes. Try it. If it doesn’t suit your appetite, I’ll take you out to eat.”
Rebecca was flattered.
“It looks delicious.” With that, she picked up her fork and took a bite.
Sure enough, it was delicious.
“How is it?” Boris asked expectantly.
Rebecca gave him a thumbs up and said sincerely, “It’s delicious. It tastes great.”
Boris smiled comfortably, feeling warm in his heart.
After half an hour, dinner was over.
Rebecca’s body now had gained strength, and her head was no longer feeling dizzy.
“Mr. Scordia, I really don’t know how to thank you.”
Boris smiled and said, “Well, we can be friends.”
Rebecca nodded and said enthusiastically, “It’s my honor to have a friend like you.”
Boris also cherished this friendship very much.
“Since we’re friends, don’t call me Mr. Scordia anymore. Just call me by his first name. That’s what friends do.”
Rebecca could not find a reason to refuse, so she pursed her lips and nodded.

In her eyes, Boris was not only a friend, but more like a big brother. She respected him and thanked him from the bottom of her heart. It was the Chrisck of her life to know a good person like him.
For a moment, their eyes locked and they smiled at each other. Boris took the medicine prescribed by the doctor and firmly reminded her, “Remember to take your medicine on time and rest more.”
“Yeah, I know, don’t worry.”
As soon as Rebecca finished speaking, Boris’s phone rang. The law firm called. He only said a few words, and then he hung up the phone with a dignified expression.
“What happened?”
Boris stood up and said with a complicated mood, “I have a client. The case was originally scheduled to open the day after tomorrow. Just after i received the news, he suddenly jumped into the lake and committed suicide. I have to go back to the office immediately. There are many follow up issues waiting to be dealt with.”
Rebecca originally wanted to tell Boris about her encounter with George Gadot yesterday, but at this time, she stopped the thought.
“Then go back quickly. Work is important. Don’t worry about me. I can take care of myself.”
“Okay, rest well and call me if you have anything.” Then he headed downstairs.
The black Rolls–Royce was hidden in the dark, blending in with the night, but it seemed out of tune with everything around it.
If it wasn’t for the purpose of stalking people, this car would never have been parked in such a place.
Chris sat in the back seat, staring straight ahead, his body exuding a frightening aura.
If he Scordiaessed correctly, the man who had just walked downstairs and drove away should be the lawyer surnamed Scordia that Emily mentioned.
Rebecca’s relationship with that man was indeed unusual. It was so already late before the man left.
Chris narrowed his eyes dangerously and gritted his back teeth.
A few hours ago, he wanted Rebecca to get married and get out of New York, but now, for some reason, he suddenly regretted it again.
The temperature in the car was getting lower and lower, and Mark felt like he was sitting on pins and needles.
Isn’t Mr. Evans looking for Rebecca? She is upstairs now, but Mr. Evans does not move.
Could it be that Mr. Evans always wanted him to go upstairs and call Rebecca down?
After thinking about it, Mark decided to remind Chris.
“Mr. Evans, Miss Gadot lives on the west side of the third floor…”
Chris raised his eyes and swept his sharp eyes over. Mark immediately shut up and lowered his head embarrassingly.
Did Mr. Evans think he was talking too much?
A moment later.
“You wait here.”
There was a low and sullen order from behind. Mark complied and immediately went out to open the rear door and stood respectfully to the side.
Chris leaned slightly and stepped out of the car.
He looked up at the dilapidated building in front of him.
Rebecca, you’re doomed!
Rebecca cleaned up the kitchen and walked into the living room when the doorbell suddenly rang.
Who was it that night? Could it be that Boris had left something behind?

Without thinking much, she walked over and opened the door.
“Did you forget something?”
Before she could finish her sentence, Rebecca’s face suddenly turned pale. Her mind went blank for a moment. Her heart almost jumped out of her
mouth.
However, it was still a step too late.
Chris pressed his palm on the door and pushed in hard. With the strength of his knees, he easily pushed open the door and broke in.
With a bang, he raised his foot and kicked the door closed. He stood in front of the entrance cabinet, his eyes as sharp as a knife, pinning on Rebecca’s body, as if he was looking at his prey.
“Rebecca, you’re brave enough to sneak back from Denmark.”
Rebecca hid in the corner furthest away from him. Her entire body was tense. She was always careful yet he found her.
She was too afraid to be alone with Chris. Once he became crazy, he could do anything. She had to learn to protect herself.
“New York is my hometown. Of course, I want to come back.”
Chris approached Rebecca dangerously, his cold face covered with frost.
“You really have a death wish for coming back.”
“Could it be that if I don’t come back, you will let me go?” Rebecca’s voice was trembling as she kept backing away.
Chris did not answer.
“You don’t want to come over.” Rebecca remembered what she had experienced in Paradise, and her entire body tenses up as Chris’s approach.
“The house here is not sound–proof. If I shout a few times, the neighbors will come out. Mr. Evans, I’m not afraid of shame. How about you?”
