Chapter 6
I didn’t care what Tobias planned to do to the White family.
The moment they cast me out, the White family and the Kingston family had nothing to do with me anymore.
All I needed to do was focus on recovering, fulfill my three–year agreement with Tobias, and then leave the past behind to start a life that truly belonged to me.
Though Tobias often spoke harshly, he never treated me poorly.
He brought me to his private manor and arranged for the best medical team to take care of me.
What surprised me most was that his estate was filled with blooming jasmine flowers.
The jasmine plants thrived, their fragrance filling the air, clearly cared for with meticulous attention over a long period.
I stayed quietly in the jasmine–scented estate to recuperate.
Yet, every time I took my medicine, Tobias would deliberately pinch my face.
“Emily, you’re so lifeless right now that I can’t even find you interesting. Hurry up and recover so you can fulfill our
agreement.”
Today, I took the medicine without waiting for Tobias to force me.
He stared at me for a moment before a mischievous smile spread across his face.
“I’ve discovered something fun. Do you want to see it?”
Before I could respond, Tobias Johnson gestured for the staff to play a video he had prepared.
With just one glance, I recognized the White Manor.
The video showed scenes from after I had left.
Aiden and Stephen returned home with bags full of gifts, accompanied by Sunny Mason.
In the living room, Stephen knelt on one knee before Sunny in front of my mother and Aiden.
“Sunny, this ring may have been bought with Emily’s dowry money, but it’s a token of my sincere feelings. I’m officially proposing to you now. Once you’re back from Tobias Johnson’s side, I’ll marry you in a grand ceremort y
My mother and Aiden nodded approvingly.
“By then, the White family will have regained its former glory. We’ll prepare a lavish dowry for you, far grander than what we had for Emily.”

Sunny’s face lit up with happiness as she nodded.
Just as Stephen was about to place the ring on Sunny’s finger, Tobias’s assistant arrived with a large sum of money and a severance agreement.
“This is the money the White family earned from selling their daughter. Please accept it,” the assistant said with a mocking smile.
Sunny’s expression instantly changed, and she hid behind Stephen, refusing to come forward.
Aiden clenched his fists tightly, his face filled with frustration, but he ultimately accepted the items.
“Sunny, don’t worry. We’ll always be your support. If Tobias mistreats you, you can come back. We’ll make sure to stand up for you!”
The assistant sneered. “Mr. White, Tobias Johnson isn’t the kind of man to accept just anyone.”
“Miss Emily White has already been taken in by Tobias. She even had a lawyer draft this severance agreement. She
made it clear that from now on, she has severed all ties with the White and Kingston families.”
“What?”
Aiden and Stephen scrambled to open the agreement.
When they saw the name Emily White clearly written, their faces turned pale.
“How could this happen? Wasn’t it supposed to be Sunny going to Tobias? How could it be Emily?”
“Miss White approached Mr. Johnson three days ago of her own accord,” the assistant replied indifferently. “That’s
all I have to say. Please, do not disturb Miss White or Mr. Johnson again in the future.”
After the assistant left, I saw deep despair on their faces through the video.”
They seemed to finally remember.
Three days ago, they slapped me and pushed me into the pool to defend Sunny.
Two days ago, they forced me to give up my room and move into the basement to please Sunny.
One day ago, they threw me out of the house, half–dead, all to make Sunny happy.
They finally understood my sacrifice.
They recalled their actions and the grievances I had endured.
“Emily…” my mother murmured as she collapsed to the floor, tears streaming down her face.
“It turns out we misunderstood Emily. Oh, my God, how heartbroken she must have been during this time. She was never one to suffer even the slightest grievance…”

Chapter 6
At that moment, Nanny Lexi brought out the half–burned photo album.
“No wonder Miss Emily threw away everything from before, even the wooden carving she used to treasure so much. She must have been utterly heartbroken.”
Hearing this, both Aiden and Stephen lifted their heads.
From the look of regret in Stephen’s eyes, it was clear that he had remembered everything.
Aiden slapped himself hard across the face twice, his eyes reddening with tears.
Stephen, dazed for a long time, held the burned photo album in his hands, murmuring to himself as he poured out
his remorse.
Finally, he grabbed Aiden’s shoulders and shook him desperately.
“Aiden, forget the money! Let’s get Emily back.”
“She’s suffered enough. We can’t let her endure anymore. I’d give up everything I have left just to make it up to her!”
This time, they ignored Sunny Mason’s protests and tears, grabbing the money and rushing o
