Chapter 84
I couldn’t let him do this to me again. I couldn’t go through anymore.
So, I did the only thing I could think of. I brought my knee up hard between his legs.
Noah fell back with a grunt, doubling over in pain. Seeing that I got the desired effect, I pushed past him to get the hell out of here.
One moment I’m running and the next I’m being yanked back, my scalp exploding in pain. I hit the hard floor of the gym, grunting from the impact as my skull bounced off the floor. Stars burst in my vision leaving me dazed.
“You’re going to pay for that, Ellie.” Noah snarled above me.
His foot slammed into my stomach, knocking the wind from me. I curled in pain, gasping as my stomach smarted from the attack. I didn’t have time to defend myself as fingers twisted in my hair painfully, yanking my head back so I was forced to stare up into Noah’s black eyes. His face was twisted in rage, his eyes burning with fury as his free hand came down connecting with my cheeks. The force sent my head whipping to the side and I was certain if Noah didn’t have a death grip on my hair, I’d be on the ground again.
“What have I told you about running, Ellie?” Noah’s voice boomed in the large empty hall. “When are you going to get it through your thick skull that you can’t escape.”
As he spoke, he dragged me carelessly towards the locker rooms. My blood froze in dread. If he got me in there, there would be no escape. I instantly began to struggle, clawing at his hand in my hair. I must have got him good because he suddenly hissed above me, letting me go.
I didn’t waste any time putting space between us, my whole body on fire from the assault. In front of me, Noah was looking at his hand where a long thin line of blood glimmered in the ugly light. I had hurt him.
Good.
His expression went from fury and pain to cold in a second, my heart stopping as those icy black eyes landed on me. He looked like a predator as he locked eyes with me and began stalking towards me with renewed determination.
I couldn’t stop the whimper that escaped me as I scrambled to get away, my scream cut off as Noah’s giant hand clamped over my mouth and his body pinned me to the floor.
“That was very naughty of you to hurt me, little bird.” Noah breathed, his pupils dilating as he

studied me. “I think you deserve a punishment, don’t you?”
I shook my head frantically, my breaths coming out hard and fast. My eyes hurt from how wide they were as I stared at the boy before me in terror. Noah simply let out a cruel chuckle, his free hand running lightly over my arm before his fingers scuttled towards my waist like spiders. I felt them close in on the waist of my jeans and I screamed, struggling to get away from his invasive touch.
My protests didn’t have the desired effect. If anything Noah seemed intrigued, his head cocking to one side as his fingertips burnt trails over my skin, moving under my top in a way that was far too intimate. I’m not sure when I started crying but the tears rolled relentlessly down the side of my face making my eyes cold.
“There’s that look I’ve been craving.” Noah whispered, his fingers stilling. “You look beautiful when you’re scared.”
The words felt like a slap to the face and they hung between us as their severity sank into me like a cold weight. It felt like an age passed but really was only a second before Noah cruelly brought me back to reality, his fingers finding one of the forming bruises and dug into it making me groan and writhe in pain.
“That’s for trying to get away.” He hissed, his eyes burning with dominance and something much darker. “Now this is how it’s going to go Ellie. When I tell you to do something you’re going to do it. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is or what you are doing; if I tell you to do something, you’re going to respond and you’re going to do it without complaining. Got it?”
I whimpered, too scared to move or respond. I froze as Noah leaned down, his face only inches from mine so I could now see the predatory darkness in his eyes.
“If you don’t do as I say, things are going to get much worse.” He whispered. “You think this was bad? You have no idea. I will destroy everything Ellie, I will strip you down until there is nothing left of you and you’re just a shell and I’ll enjoy it too. I’ll enjoy every moment of taking everything from you.”
