Romina bit her lip and blurted out, “Mr. Bowman, thank you for saving me.”
“You were unconscious. How do you remember it was me who saved you?”
Joaquin suddenly leaned in a little, his deep eyes tinged with curiosity.
Romina spoke softly, “Before I lost consciousness, I remember you rushing in and helping me avoid the falling chan- delier…”
