Cora was still eating her bun, but after hearing what Kaneeta
said, she lost her appetite, stood up immediately, spun around a
few times on the spot, and then picked up her phone and started
tapping away.
“What are you doing?” Kaneeta hurriedly grabbed her.
“I’m going to Calchester right now! I’m going to kill those two
bastards!” Cora roared.
“What are you saying?” Kaneeta smiled helplessly. “Calm down.”
Cora really felt like killing someone now. She had always
thought Edmund was a jerk, but she never imagined he could be
this despicable!
This wasn’t something that could be solved just by dumping
him and cursing him out!
“How dare they…”
Cora looked at Kaneeta’s leg, her eyes turning red with tears.
Her Neeta, so beautiful when she danced, and yet they dared to
ruin her, making it so she could never dance again!
Chapter 70
If even she felt this much pain, how much more would Neeta
hurt when she learned the truth?
“Why didn’t you tell me all this sooner?” Cora wiped her tears.
“If I’d known earlier, I would have gone to Calchester with you
to teach those two a lesson!”
“You were busy graduating at the time. If I had told you…”
Kaneeta gave a bitter smile.
Cora probably would have given up her diploma and gone
straight back home.
“So what? I’d rather give up that diploma than see you suffer
like this!”
“Don’t worry,” Kaneeta squeezed her hand. “From now on, I
won’t let myself be wronged again.”
Cora nodded. After regaining her composure, she added,
“Luckily you could understand what those two were saying on
the phone, otherwise we’d still be in the dark right now!”
“Yeah,” Kaneeta lowered her eyes. “I really trusted Edmund
before..”
Come to think of it, it was for Edmund that she learned that
language in the first place.
Chapter 70
She never expected that the very language she learned for him
would help her see the truth in the end.
A bit ironic.
“Neeta, what are you planning to do next?”
“First, I’ll find evidence that the car accident was intentional and
send the culprit to jail,” Kaneeta clenched her fists. “Then, I’ll
deal with Edmund.”
The person she hated most wasn’t Nyasia, but Edmund.
Nyasia had deliberately orchestrated the car accident, which
was certainly hateful.
But if Edmund hadn’t wanted it both ways–dating her while
having an affair with Nyasia, deceiving her, and indulging
Nyasia…
None of this might have happened at all.
Edmund was the most detestable one!
“I support you!” Cora said firmly. “Neeta, I’ll have someone look
into it too.””
“Not yet,” Kaneeta said quickly. “I know you want to help, but we can’t rush this. We have to take it slow, or we’ll alert them.”

The Kuntz family still had some influence in Calchester.
And in the years since Edmund took over the Kuntz Group, the
company had been thriving.
Funny thing is, she didn’t even know how much of that success
was thanks to her.
These past few years, she really had been sold out and still
helped count the money for others.
“Alright, I’ll listen to you.”
Cora glanced at Kaneeta’s leg again, opened her mouth to speak,
but hesitated and couldn’t bring herself to say anything.
Kaneeta knew what she wanted to say and smiled, “It can’t be
healed. It’s fine, it’s been two years already. I’m used to it.”
She thought her smile looked calm, but Cora’s heart still ached
as if it were about to break.
