They have called us for a damn cat fight! I was ready to turn around and go back home right now, I don’t want to be in the middle of this anymore, but the boys were still standing, and they weren’t about to leave now, not until we get things sorted.

“I don’t…” I start saying, but he gave me one look, and I went quiet, going outside to look for the damn cat, I don’t even know what he looks like, if I come back with a stray, then they can’t blame me.
I walked toward the border looking for it, I saw a snow white looking cat, his name is Ice which makes a lot of sense, this must be it.

second it was sitting there like a statue, the next she darted between my boots and bolted down the road, I swore. And then, somehow. I was running after a cat like my career depended on it.
Now, I’m not saying cats are evil, but this one clearly had a vendetta, he weaved through the trees, under our car, above the neighbor roof, and I nearly tripped over a couple times trying to catch him.
By the time I caught sight of him again, he was on top of a tree, meowing at me, I put my hands on my hips and looked up at him.
“Really? You think you can outwit a wolf?” I say between gritted teeth.
He licked his paws in response, I ended up climbing the damn tree, gear and all, I didn’t dare to put a firearm on the ground untended.
When I finally got close enough, I crouched, hand out. “Nice kitty… come on…” I even made the stupid “pspsps” noise, because apparently I have no dignity left.

The cat tilted his head, meowed softly, and then attacked my gear, took that as chance and held him with both arms and jumped down from the tree, I started the walk back ignoring the biting and scratching, two step forward I saw Vixy holding on to a very distressed Bee, they were both terrified for the cat and not my damn safety. I threw the cat at them pretending that he jumped and watched them make up.
Our mission was over, and we got back in the car ready to leave, this wasn’t the mission I expected to have as my first case ever, back at the station, Brooklyn gave me a weird look while I walked in and then asked.
