After I cried for about an hour, I felt the urge to vomit everything that I have ate, nothing wanted to stay down and I wasn’t hungry anymore, I felt sick, like I had a high fever, like I was dying. My whole body started to tremble, I vomited one more time, and then I decided that I wanted to go to bed, to be alone, but they refused to do so, they followed me everywhere I went, they went after me into my room.
When I objected to having two guys seeing me in this situation, Brooklyn kicked them out and stayed there with me, after I have managed to vomit yet again, throwing up my stomach acid, I went back to the bed.
Brooklyn helped me change into some kind of PJ a very fluffy one, that helped my trembling body, and then she got in the bed with me, she was holding me tight, while I cried and trembled, I thought I have reached my lowest bottom, but apparently I haven’t, until now, this is the lowest I have ever reached.
“Let them out, it’s okay,” she says petting my back.
“Two years,” I say sobbing.
“I know, but two are better than my ten, Ezra eight years and Mateo’s four years,” she assure me, so it’s not just me who has been away for
years.
“How did they get out?” I ask her, trying to calm down.

“They have to release some of us every now and then, there’s a number limit on how many can stay there,” she says, so I was going to be locked in there until over population and only then I’d be allowed out.
“It’s cruel, how could they do that,” I ask, starting to calm down finally, but my body was still cold, my bones were shivering.
“I know, we do what we can,” Brooklyn assures me, petting my head, and rubbing my back, having me start to relax.
“Can I go back to my family?” I ask, I wanted to meet the said twins, I wanted to see Mia and the rest, I still remember all of their names, all of their faces, and I want to be there with them.
“Your family, sweetie, they’re not ready to see you yet,” she says.
“Why so?” I ask, confused.
“Because, you don’t look like you Noelle, if you go there you’re only going to break their hearts, they can’t help you, but we can,” she says.
So I have exchanged the old cage for a new one, even here I’m denied to see my family, I can’t go back to them, I closed my eyes and sighed, I’m going to die alone, I’m going to be alone, forever.

“What did you do to end up in that place?” I ask her.
“I was a good patrol leader but was betrayed by my alpha, he had all of my patrol killed and blamed me for their death, I still see them in my dreams, in my worst moment and the best ones,” she answers me.
“What about Ezra and Mateo?” I ask her.
“They’ll tell you their story when it’s time,” she answer me.
“I want to shift,” I say next, I haven’t shifted into my wolf form since the last time I ran patrol with Mateo, two years ago.
“Maybe when you gain back ten kilo in weight, maybe then you’ll be able to shift, you’re too weak to do it right now,” she says.
“I can do it now, I don’t need to wait,” I object, sounding like Lotus, does she still object to everything or did the two years changed that.
