Chapter 298
Chapter 298
“What’s the matter? Not going to agree? Landon, don’t forget your wife and your son are in my hands. Right now, you have no choice but to
do as I say…” Monroe’s mocking tone only made everyone angrier.
Tuff slammed his fist on the coffee table. “You shameless old bastard!”
“No,” Monroe answered bluntly.
Tuff felt like all his rage punching into thin air–completely useless–which only made him even more furious.
Daniel shook his head at Landon, giving him a look that told him not to give in so easily.
But Landon said, “Alright! I agree.”
“Are you out of your mind?” Tuff grabbed Landon’s sleeve.
‘The trauma from last time was still fresh in Tuff’s mind. How could Landon agree to this again?‘ he thought anxiously.
“I want to see my wife and child, and Landen too,” Landon said. “If you dare hurt any of them, I’ll drag you down with me, no matter what.”
“No problem,” Monroe replied.
After hanging up, Monroe sent over a few multimedia messages.
There were pictures of Amelia singing to lull Kimsey to sleep, playing with the two kids, and all three of them squeezed together on a bed,
resting.
None of them showed any obvious signs of injury.
Amelia was doing her best to stay calm, while Landen looked anxious and worried.
Only six–month–old Kimsey, completely unaware of the danger they were in, was smiling with pure innocence.
Landon couldn’t take his eyes off the video, watching it over and over again, as if trying to burn every second into his memory.
“Landon, you have a plan, right?” Daniel asked.
“No,” Landon replied.
“But I have to make sure they get home safe first.”
“Then how can you agree to go through with the memory loss surgery?” Daniel practically shouted, starting to wonder if Landon had lost his mind from panic.
But the more flustered they got, the more smug Monroe would feel.
They needed to stay calm and come up with a foolproof plan.
“You guys will rescue me, and then we can ask Dr. Mitchell to do another surgery to bring my memory back,” Landon paused. “Even if it can’t be restored, it doesn’t matter. I’ll just fall in love with them all over again.”
“Landon…” Daniel didn’t know what else to say.
“Honestly, if Edith needed you, you’d do exactly the same,” Landon said.

Daniel didn’t know how to persuade him anymore.
If Edith needed him, he’d do the same without hesitation.
“Should we get those old guys from the Flying Tiger Sect to help out again?” Tuff suggested.
“Amelia and Kimsey are in Monroe’s hands. I don’t want to waste any more time,” Landon said.
He had another huge worry he couldn’t tell anyone about–Amelia also had supernatural powers.
If Monroe ever found out about this secret, she’d never be able to come back to him.
And their son, Kimsey, might end up under Monroe’s watch–or even under his control.
He couldn’t afford to take that risk.
“There’s another way,” Night Owl said as she opened the door and stepped out, looking completely exhausted, her face pale.
Landon blinked in surprise. “You didn’t sleep?”
“I dreamed of Dawson. Then I woke up,” Night Owl said.
Landon fell silent, and even Tuff–usually the most talkative–was at a loss for words.
“I can hypnotize the doctor for you. You just pretend the chip’s been implanted and you’ve lost your memory,” Night Owl said, yawning as she flopped onto the couch, already half–asleep. “But first, let me get some sleep.”
The moment she finished talking, she drifted off to sleep.
Daniel was stunned. “She…”
“Top hypnotists sometimes end up sleepwalking,” Landon sighed, pulling a blanket over Night Owl.
There was no doubt–Night Owl’s idea was their best shot.
But could her body really take it?
Meanwhile, in the luxurious house at the foot of the mountain, Kimsey and Landen were already fast asleep, but Amelia was wide awake.
She didn’t dare close her eyes, nor could she afford to sleep.
It had been over seven hours since she and the kids were kidnapped. Her family had to know by now.
Maybe Landon had already rushed back to Norava.
He must have been terrified.
‘Landon, Landon…‘ Amelia repeated her husband’s name over and over in her heart.
She wanted him to come save her, but at the same time, she was terrified that he actually would.
Monroe was cunning and meticulous. After being outsmarted by Landon and Night Owl once in Dreicean, it wouldn’t be easy to trick her again.

Chapter 298
If Landon came charging in recklessly, he’d only end up getting hurt.
“Congratulations, Amelia. You have a good husband.”
Monroe’s weird, mocking smile sent a chill straight down Amelia’s spine.
Amelia asked nervously, “What do you mean?”

“Relax, I won’t lay a finger on you anymore,” Monica said, her grin turning even creepier. “Once Landon’s done with the surgery, you and the kids can go home.”
“Surgery? What kind of surgery?” Amelia asked in shock, raising her voice.
“Memory loss surgery. Landon’s trading himself for you and your son’s safety. Gotta say, he’s really something,” Monroe sneered, her voice thick with mockery.
‘Memory loss…‘ Amelia’s heart skipped a beat in shock.
Her face drained of all color.
‘It must be that memory loss chip scheme again!‘ she thought anxiously.
It had taken so much just to remove the chip from Landon’s brain, and now they wanted to put it back in… Monica was downright terrifying, like a demon.
Even now, she was still scheming to turn Landon into her own boy toy.
“Go to sleep!” Monroe said smugly, his voice dripping with satisfaction before he shut the door behind him and left.
Amelia covered her face with her hands, sobbing in utter helplessness.
She wasn’t afraid of Landon losing his memory–her only fear was that he’d get hurt.
‘Landon, Landon…‘ Amelia repeated her husband’s name over and over in her heart.
