Chapter 215
Chapter 215
Knightly
“I’m coming with you,” I stop my sister outside of the pack house. She stops and spins around to face us. I came back as soon as crazy sent me a devil emoji.
“I would also like going, please.” Ayrie raises her hand. “If that’s okay. Hi, Ansley. I misses you.”
“Hi, Sweet baby. Why don’t you go inside. You can’t come with us this one time. It’s going to be very dangerous.”
“More dangerous than my daddy?” she points at my face.
“Dangerous enough to need him,” she nods.
“All right, but only because Mel is coming home tomorrow. I’ll tell Mommy you left.”
“It’s okay. The three of us are going together to tell her.”
“Sweet,” she beams and holds her hand out for Ansley to take.
“This one should have been Phoebe the Second,” Ansley rolls her eyes and takes her hand. “Do you know where she is?”
Ayrie stops at the doorway and takes a deep breath before pulling us over to the stairs. She leads us straight to the study.
“That was easy,” Ayrie whispers as she pushes the doors open.
Phoebe looks up at us from her computer. Perry is standing beside her. I see Perry’s hands rush over the keyboard before she straightens up. They don’t seem to be doing anything wrong and Phoebe didn’t get startled about seeing the two of us together. However, they both have this little evil glint in their eyes.
“I told you it was him,” Phoebe grins.
“They even smell the same,” Perry shrugs.
“What are you two up to?” Ansley asks.
“Nothing,” the two of them answer in unison.
“Can we have a moment with our mate?” Ansley glares at Perry.
“She’s going to tell me,” Perry rolls her eyes. “Do I take the kid?”
“Yes, she’s staying,” I nod.
“I say hi to you and the Baby later, Mommy,” Ayrie squeals when Perry scoops her up and tosses her over her shoulder. “Oh, no! Elsa! Put me down!‘
“Never, Anna. You need to stop trying to sneak out of the castle,” Perry tickles her.
“Am I in trouble?” Phoebe is quick to ask as soon as I shut the door.
“Yes,” Ansley answers before I can. “And you’re going to tell me what you were looking at on the computer before we tell you why.”
“Then no one is getting answers. You guys are leaving?” she shrugs. Ansley goes over to the computer and tries to unlock it.

“Password.”
“The computer is unlocked. That’s a mirrored image of Perry’s tablet. I don’t know the password. Are you okay? Is the information we gave you out of date?”
“Drop it,” I laugh, Ansley crosses her arms over her chest.
“Whatever. No, the intel is up to date. We just wanted to inform you that we’re going together.”
“I don’t want to go do whatever it is you’re going to do. I’ll cry,” Phoebe Says matter–of–factly. “And call your Dad while I’m crying. He’d be here in half the time it takes to get here from wherever he is. It’s happened.”
“It has,” I agree. “And you’re not coming with us, Angel. She means the two of us are going together.”
“Is that smart? I feel like that is not a smart thing to do. You’d both be in the same place at the exact same time without your usual shadows, and I have a huge problem with that. You know who else would have a huge problem with that? Your parents.”
“You can’t threaten to call my father whenever we do something you don’t like,” Ansley laughs.
“She won’t do it right away, but it’ll “accidentally” slip when it’s the most convenient for her. What is it going to take for you to keep this to yourself?” I ask.
“Nothing. This is about your lives. There is not a single thing you can offer me in this entire planet that can make me change my mind. And before you try to trick me into handing over my phone, the room is voice–activated.”
“There is nothing angelic about her. Gorgeous as sin and devious as Artemis herself.” Ansley scoffs.
“I’ve been trying to convince him of that, and he just thinks I’m cute,” she agrees. “This is fun. I love that there are two of you.”
“Very well then, I’ll stay married,” Ansley counters. Phoebe’s eyes flash silver for a brief moment. “Would you like to know what the deal on
our contract was?”
“I wouldn’t do that to her,” I look over at her.

“The marriage has a five–year renewal. Should both parties survive the alliance in the fifth year of the marriage, the marriage must be consummated with a child of both blood who will inherit the union of both packs. That’s in two months. It’s why that idiot ran off. He knew I
would try to kill him before that happened.
“With Nathan there, the two of us can both ensure that he doesn’t make it to the rendezvous point on the anniversary of the fifth year. We go in, clean the house, and get out. We’d be back by morning. No one knows where we’re going or that we’ll be going together. That last part has
been taboo until now.”
“You’re making that up, so I don’t call Mr. Knightly,” she huffs.
“You can call him and ask. There is nothing my father would want more than to have Aizen sitting on his throne over some shit head kid I’d be
handing over because I want nothing to do with it and it’s father. I wouldn’t just be doing it for my pack then. I’d be doing it to spite you for
not letting me kill him now.”
That is what I call a cheap shot. One I could never take. The two of them are staring at one another. On the surface, they look completely calm. I take a seat and watch as Phoebe slowly begins to change her mind.
If my father gets involved, we’d have to do this his way. A huge production of how he was right about the marriage all along. He’d take a couple of armadas down to Yellowstone and kill anyone who got in his way. That how he’s always done things. Loud and proud. I hate that. It’s the one thing Ansley and I have always agreed upon.
“You have to take Perry with you. I hope you enjoy the next two months of your life.”

Phoebe caves and stands up. She comes over to me and sits on my lap. She looks back at Ansley and then comes back to kiss me. I am not going to miss the opportunity to get my hands on her at any given moment, even if she is being a vindictive little shit.
“I’ll see you later, Knight,” she says sweetly and leaves us.
“What the fuck does that mean?” Ansley demands.
“That means you’re in the dog house, bro,” I grin. “I’m so glad you’re here. She isn’t abusive, but she is mean as shit. Let’s say bye to the pups. I miss them.”
