Damien stared at her with a cold face, still unable to believe that the person who harmed him was
the one he trusted most.
A bodyguard dragged the so–called mystic into the room.
The man fell to his knees with a thud, his voice trembling.
“Mr. Blackwood, please spare me! Miss Hayes was the one who ordered me! I told her about the side effects of that medicine, but she said she didn’t care what you’d turn into afterwards, she’d accept it…”
His words were like a nail piercing Damien’s heart.
The man then pulled out a voice recorder from his pocket.
He pressed play, and Willow’s voice came through.
“As long as Mr. Blackwood can successfully attend the wedding, it doesn’t matter if he rots
afterwards, just agree!”
A single stone stirred a thousand waves.
The truth was instantly laid bare before everyone.
Damien abruptly raised his hand, sweeping every object he could reach to the floor.
“You venomous woman! I treated you so well! What good does my death do you?!”
He roared, his voice tearing and full of despair.
“I trusted you so much back then! Even when I was severely poisoned, I believed you’d save me! And what happened? Everything was destroyed by you!”
“If… if it wasn’t for you back then…”
He seemed to suddenly remember something, frantically searching for my presence.
It was then that he finally felt regret.
Damien’s eyes were bloodshot. He struggled, then collapsed to the floor,

After examining him, the doctor shook his head helplessly.
Mrs. Blackwood immediately had Willow taken away. As for what would happen to her, no one knew.
Julian and I had just stood up, preparing to leave, when we heard Damien’s suppressed, almost broken voice behind us.
“Stella… don’t go! Stella!”
His voice was hoarse, his face pale to the point of transparency, filled with regret and unwillingness.
“It was all my fault. I was blind, tricked by that woman.””
Damien trembled, sincerely apologizing to me.
“I always thought she had deep feelings for me, but I never imagined she was just after the position of Mrs. Blackwood.”
“Now I see, only you truly cared for me, only you were willing to help me through this without asking for anything in return. I should have realized it sooner!”
He pleaded bitterly, his voice so low it was almost shattered.
“I was wrong. Can you give me one more chance? The position of Mrs. Blackwood is still yours!”
Listening to his repentance, I felt nothing but utter irony.
He thought a single sentence could erase all the past harm?
Dream on!
I kicked him away.
“Mr. Blackwood, not everything in life gets a second chance.”
After leaving, Julian and I began to prepare for our wedding.
On our wedding day, the hall was packed with guests, filled with laughter and heartfelt blessings.
Julian opened the car door for me. Just as I was about to step in, a furious shout came from afar.

Damien Blackwood, looking disheveled, pursued us in a wheelchair.
“Stella Stewart! I forbid you to marry anyone else!”
“Your blood can cure my illness. Save me one more time, just once! If you save me, I’ll agree to anything!”
His voice was hoarse, strained with all his might.
The surrounding guests began to whisper.
“Wasn’t Damien Blackwood supposed to marry Willow? Why has he suddenly gone mad?”
“I heard his body is messed up, and that medicine was given to him by Willow. He heard somewhere
that Miss Stewart has a special antidote.”
“Ah, in his current state, it’s no wonder he’s clinging to Miss Stewart.”
I merely scoffed at their words.
Damien stubbornly fixed his gaze on me, his eyes filled with desperate entanglement.
“You promised me you’d only be my wife! How can you marry someone else…”
“Just this once, save me again, okay?”
“Only your blood can cure the poison in me. I don’t need much, just… 700cc, is that alright?”
I was so exasperated I actually laughed.
Even blood donations only take 400cc. He wanted 700cc from me at once – that’s enough to cause massive bleeding and shock.
To save himself, he completely disregarded whether I lived or died.
I stared at his pathetic face, my tone like ice.
“Damien Blackwood, don’t be so conceited anymore.”
Damien still refused to give up.
